SEC SCH & JC STUDENTS TO SPEND 2 DAYS A MONTH DOING HOME BASED LEARNING

The Ministry of Education has recently reported that secondary school and junior college students will conduct home based learning for students for at least two days a month. This new practice will be permanent practice be it coronavirus pandemic or not.

All students will receive a personal learning device by the end of next year. This will also affect certain primary school as well as the Ministry of Education will start with a small-scale pilot program involving five primary schools.

The personal learning devices, which would take the form of a laptop or a tablet could be purchased using student’s edusave account. Students from lower income households will also receive more subsidies.
