SLASHING CASE AT GEYLANG, 36 Y.O ARRESTED

A 36-year-old man was arrested yesterday (Jan 7) at Geylang Road for his suspected involvement in a case of voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon.

At about 4.15 PM the Police were informed of the incident at Geylang road. A 25-year-old was sent to Raffles Hospital for treatment.

According to the Police, they were able to identify the suspect after reviewing Police CCTV and making ground enquiries.

The 25-year-old victim was conscious when conveyed to Raffles Hospital.

The man will be charged in court today (Jan 8) with voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon.

If the man is found guilty he will be facing up to seven years/fine/caning, and or a combination of the above.

“We have zero tolerance towards such acts of violence, and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law,” said the Police
