CNB officers arrested two drug offenders, a 35-year-old and a 60-year-old Singaporean male at a hotel located in Jalan Sultan.
The two-man put up a violent struggle against the officers and the following drugs and cash were seized:
- 20 packets and straws containing about 2,416g of heroin
- two packets containing about 22g of ‘Ice’ and one ‘Ecstasy’
- A total of 58 packets and straws containing about 629g of heroin
- seven packets containing about 36g of ‘Ice’
- cash amounting to $1,650
The 35-year-old was later brought to a hideout located at Geylang and more drugs were found which includes:
- about 10g of heroin
- 100 nitrazepam tablets
CNB released a statement online:
” In the latest drug bust by CNB officers on 28 Jan 2021, a total of about 3,055g of heroin, 58g of ‘Ice’, and one ‘Ecstasy’ fragment were seized.
Cash amounting to $1,650 and 100 nitrazepam tablets, a substance listed under the Poisons Act, were also recovered during the operation.
The drugs seized are estimated to be worth over $220,000.Two suspected drug offenders were arrested. As the officers moved in to arrest the suspects, both had put up a violent struggle and necessary force was used to subdue them.
Investigations are ongoing. “
