FOOD DELIVERY RIDER KILLED IN ACCIDENT AT KOVAN, FAMILY APPEALING FOR WITNESSES

A food delivery rider was hit by a car during a traffic accident that happened at Kovan, on 23 March.

The rider was purportedly waiting a junction, during a red light, to turn right, when a Mini Cooper allegedly crashed into him from behind.

The delivery rider’s e-bike could be seen in a wreck as his food delivery bag and its contents were strewn onto the road.

The car’s bumper could also be seen dented and its windscreen was shattered from the impact of the collision.

Bloodstains presumed to be from the victim could be seen on the road.

In a Facebook update, the nephew of the rider shared that the victim, who was his uncle, has since passed away from the accident, alleging that the driver was drunk driving.

The family is currently appealing for witnesses to come forward.
