A mother of six shares a 300-square-foot leased house in Kampung Pulau Kundor, Pengkalan Chepa. She ran out of money and rice and the family have only eaten biscuits and pastries provided by neighbours for 3 days.

She lost her earnings after losing her job as a shop assistant during Covid-19.

A man in Johor lost his income during the pandemic and He is responsible for a six-month pregnant wife, a nine-year-old daughter, and a one-year-old son.

His savings were depleted and the family has since run out of food.

Man in Penang sold washing machine and fans to survive MCO

A man who used to work as a hawker was not able to operate during the MCO, his earnings were depleted and he had to sell the washing machine and fans in his house to survive.

Not only did the man lose his source of income and his debt also grew. He said that had not paid his rent, motorbike, power, or water bills in four to five months.

Malaysia resident who needed help puts up a white flag outside their residents in a desperate attempt to get help. Many people have since gotten help from neighbours or even members of the Malaysian parliament.
