A man who used to work as a hawker was not able to operate during the MCO, his earnings were depleted and he had to sell the washing machine and fans in his house to survive.
Not only did the man lose his source of income and his debt also grew. He said that had not paid his rent, motorbike, power, or water bills in four to five months.

Last week, a social media campaign urging individuals in desperate need of help to fly a white flag as an SOS signal gained traction. Anyone who sees a white flag is asked to come forward and give assistance.
