S’PORE FOOTBALLER REFUSED TO PLAY IN MATCH, SACKED BY BALESTIER KHALSA

Zaiful Nizam, the captain and goalkeeper for Balestier Khalsa FC in the Signapore Premier League, has been sacked by the club.

He had reportedly refused to play in a match where his team eventually lost 4-2 to Young Lions, on 14 August 2021 at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

He was initially suspended by the club, before an internal disciplinary inquiry reached the decision to terminate his contract.

Balestier Khalsa later released an official statement on their Facebook page:

“Following an internal disciplinary inquiry on Club Captain Zaiful Nizam, Balestier Khalsa Football Club (BKFC) reached the decision on Wednesday, 18 August 2021 to terminate BKFC’s Player Contract with Zaiful Nizam with immediate effect.”
