LUPSUP KTV AND MASSAGE PARLOURS RAIDED, 45 PPL INVESTIGATED

45 people are being investigated by the police following a week long raid on 42 massage parlours, as well as 9 unlicensed entertainment outlets.

4 women aged between 30 and 35 were arrested at an unlicensed KTV at Chang Charn Road for working without valid work permits.

11 people on the premises allegedly breached SMMs and are being investigated.

A 40-year-old man suspected to be involved in the management of the outlet was arrested under the Public Entertainments Act and Liquor Control Act.

All in all, a total of 17 establishments are believed to have breached rules, including the Massage Establishments Act and Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.

The 17 establishments included 3 operating without a valid license, and one that didn’t enforce their customers to wear mask during their massage.

29 people, including masseuses, operators as well as a customer are being investigated.
