DOG OWNERS APPEAL FOR HEAVIER SENTENCE FOR PLATINUM DOG CLUB OWNER

A petition has been started by pet owners to give the woman in the photo, Charlotte Liew a harsher sentence, she was sentenced to 2 weeks in jail and fine SGD$37,500 for abusing animals and banned from operating any animal-related business for 1 year.

But netizens felt that it was not enough and started a petition that has gathered over 6700 people supporting the cause.

In the page it is stated that:

Money should not be the answer to crimes, just because she got a big fine does not mean it justifies the crime.  We appeal for a heavier jail sentence as deterrent that Singaporeans do not condone animal abuse!
