A hawker at Chinatown Complex reportedly offered free Rojak worth $4 to the elderly who haven’t gotten their vaccination jab, according to Zaobao.

The shop owner clarified with Zaobao that his gimmick was to encourage the elderby who are unvaccinated to get their jabs, and that he wanted to also being in more customers to the hawker centre.
The poster at his shop stated: “FREE ROJAK, UNVACCINATED SENIORS ONLY!”
This caused outrage with many misunderstanding his intent due to his misconstrued wording.
The hawker then replaced his poster with a new one, this time with a new caption: “GET VACCINATED, COLLECT YOUR FREE ROJAK VOUCHER NOW!”
