From next Wednesday (Oct 13), people who are not vaccinated against Covid-19 will no longer be allowed to dine in or enter malls.
Ministry of Health (MOH) said that this is to protect those unvaccinated persons from the virus and also to reduce the strain on Singapore’s healthcare system.
This was decided after epidemiological investigations have concluded that a significant proportion of positive cases frequently visited areas like hawkers, retail shops and shopping centres.
This would mean that only groups of two vaccinated persons can dine in, a slight change from previous ruling where unvaccinated people with negative pre-event test results can dine in in groups of two.
Unvaccinated individuals can however still take away their food.
Supermarkets which are large and standalone are exempted from this.
