A photo was uploaded by a Facebook user stating that a group of secondary school students was spotted loitering at Punggol Waterway point daily.
The netizen said:
“Monday to Friday from 1400 to 1600, can groups by groups of different schools students gathering there in large numbers with MASK OFF, playing there, eating fast food there and leave the rubbish on the floor to let the mall cleaner to clear. Location at Punggol waterway point outdoor level end corner near town Square.”
Penalties:
For non-compliance with safe management measures under the COVID-19 offenders may be jailed for up to six months, fined up to S$10,000, or both.
If they are caught by the Police for not wearing a mask or not wearing a mask properly they can be charged under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.
Penalties include a fine of up to SGD$10,000 and jailed for up to six months.
