MAN ARRESTED AFTER CHEATING WOMAN ON SOCIAL MEDIA

According to the Police media release, A 49-year-old man has been arrested for his alleged participation in a cheating case.

On September 9, 2021, the police received a report from a victim who said she had been duped by a man she met on social media. The suspect befriended her before allegedly defrauding the victim of her money,

Officers from the Jurong Police Division were able to determine the man’s identity and apprehend him after conducting investigations. According to preliminary investigations, the individual is suspected of being engaged in many other defrauding incidents totalling more than $8,100.

If the man is found guilty of cheating he will be facing up to 10 years jail and a fine.
