Jack Neo’s much-maligned Ah Girls Go Army has been making a whole lot of money, and is reportedly the highest grossing Asian movie in Singapore for 2022, according to Shin Min Daily News.
Despite the negative reviews from moviegoers, the movie made more than $2.26 million at the box office, at the time of writing.
The movie first opened in February earlier this year in Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei, and broke the $1 million mark on the third day of its showing.

I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because the movie gave me cancer anyway.

- There’s basically zero effort, I remember seeing casting news last October, and now it’s fully released in theatres in a week?! This movie went cleared nearly half of pre-production to post-production in the span of 4 months. It was clearly rushed, either because nobody wants to work on this project, or because there is just ridiculously poor planning. No way in hell did anybody expected this to do well.
