AH PEKS INVOLVED IN BLOODY FIGHT AT SERANGOON CENTRAL, ARRESTED BY POLICE

Two middle-aged men were seen in a viral video fighting savagely in public, with one of the man raining blows on the older man’s head.

The older man was seen with his head covered in blood.

He had tried to lunge at the man in blue before missing and falling over and onto the ground, and the man in blue then grabbed hold of him and savagely rained punches on his head.

Screams could be heard from passers-by who shouted at them to stop fighting.

Arrested

The Singapore Police said that two men have since been arrested for affray, following the fight that took place at Serangoon Central.

The two men are 33-years-old and 47-years-old.

The police said that they were alerted to a fight that broke out between the two men at Block 254 Serangoon Central on 5 December at about 12.30pm.

Both parties had reportedly refused to be conveyed to the hospital and at the time of writing, police investigations are underway.

Potential penalties

According to Chapter 224 of the Penal Code, anyone who disturbs public peace by fighting in public is guilty of committing an affray.

Upon conviction, offenders could face a jail term of up to one year, a fine of up to $5,000, or both.
