My girlfriend and I have had a LDR for 7 months now where i get to see her some days every month, we’re starting to be serious and wanna move in together.
Currently, she still lives with her ex, as they broke up shortly before we got together, and the apartment being expensive so she couldn’t live there alone.
According to the ex is like a family to her and not a romantic option at all anymore, the ex also moved on from them being together as couple, they are however each other’s best friend. Other than him my girlfriend doesn’t have any family in this country as she moved here from Singapore
I trust my girlfriend 100% that she’s not planning on doing anything with her ex, however it still makes me feel uncomfortable knowing he’s around her. When we talked about moving in together, she mentioned she’d like to give him atleast a 4-5 months heads up, so he can have time to prepare moving out aswell, as they’ll both have to give up on the apartment once one of them moves out
I felt weird about how she wanted to prioritize him, and told my girlfriend that when we move in together, I don’t want her seeing or talking with her ex anymore, I want her to cut off all ties with him.
