A video emerged online showing a cyclist jaywalking across a road junction and obstructing the traffic, with the cars being unable to move as a result.
The incident happened on 7 February at about 8.52pm, at the junction of Sengkang East Road and Sengkang Square.
The auntie was seen cyclng across the road when the traffic light was red against her, she got to the middle of the road and stopped there as she waited for the cars to pass.
The cam car was seen in the video stopping and unable to move forward as a result, before the auntie eventually cycled across when it was clear.
Potential penalties
Persons caught jaywalking can be fined $50 on the spot. They can also be charged and fined up to $1,000, or jailed up to three months.
Repeat offenders may be fined up to $2,000 or jailed up to six months.
