AUTHORITIES AWARE OF INCIDENT, MAN SMOKING IN MRT

According to a report by STOMP, The authorities are aware of the man who was seen smoking and drinking in the MRT.

It is believed that investigations are ongoing.

For drinking inside an MRT, he is liable for a fine of up to $500 under the Rapid Transit Systems (RTS) Act.

For smoking inside an MRT, he is liable for a fine of up to $1,000 under the Rapid Transit Systems (RTS) Act.

For not wearing a mask in public, he is liable for a fine of up to $10,000 and/or imprisonment of up to 6 months under the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 202
