BEDOK HAIR SALON SOLD $4.8K PACKAGE TO ELDERLY MOTHER, MAN FILES POLICE REPORT

Yet another hair salon has joined the ranks of being called a “black shop”. After a woman was sold a hair care package that cost S$4,800.

The son of the elderly woman sought to get a refund for his mother but the salon outright rejected the request.

Exorbitant Amount

The son said that his 82-year-old elderly mother had hearing problems, her left ear is completely deaf and she might not be sure how the packages were sold to her.

Shin Min Daily News‘s reporter went down to the salon and found out that each of the sessions cost $238 and the woman paid for a total of 20 sessions.

Files Police Report

The man who wanted a refund was told that the money has already been used to pay the wages of the workers.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the incident took place on 30 August 2022 at a hair salon located near Bedok MRT.

The woman who visited the salon wanted a hair wash but she was persuaded to buy a hair care package that cost $4,800.

The Police said are aware of the incident and looking into the matter.

Many hair salons in Singapore seem to have a bad practice of selling “packages” which often results into disputes.
