[Public Advisory on Scam Calls from ICA]
It has come to our attention that members of the public have received calls from “6542 5314” that is the ICA Airport Logistics Park general office number. The caller, who claimed to be “John Richard”, had requested for the recipients’ personal information like bank details, driving license numbers and other personal particulars.
ICA would like to clarify that these calls were not made by our officers. ICA does not call members of the public to request for personal information over the phone. The Police have since been alerted. Members of the public are advised to take the following precautions when they receive such calls:
– Ignore such calls and the caller’s instructions; and
– Do not provide any personal particulars or transfer any money to the caller.
ICA takes a serious view of such scam calls as it undermines public trust in ICA. Members of public may call the Singapore Police Force hotline at 1800-255 0000 or submit information online at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness should you have related information, and dial ‘999’ only if urgent police assistance is required.
