It’s been two years since I started working at my current job. Over the past two years, I’ve worked hard, putting in long hours and going above and beyond to ensure that I was meeting my boss’s expectations.
However, despite my best efforts, I was never given a pay raise. It was a crushing blow to my morale, and I slowly started to lose my motivation. This week, my boss finally told me that he was going to give me a pay raise. But instead of the long-overdue pay bump I was expecting, the raise he offered me was a mere $50.
It felt like an insult.
After two years of hard work and dedication, I was only being offered a measly $50. It felt like nothing more than a slap in the face.
At that moment, I knew I couldn’t stay at this job any longer. I decided that it was time to start looking for a new job, one that would actually reward me for my hard work. Then I remembered something my friend had told me about driving for Grab. He said that Grab drivers easily earn over $3,000 a month after expenses.
That’s when I decided to quit my job and start driving for Grab. I knew that it wouldn’t be easy, but I was determined to make it work. I set up an account with Grab and spent the next few days learning the ropes and setting up my car.
The first few days were tough. I was constantly getting lost and had to rely on GPS to get me to my destinations. But after a week or so, I started to get the hang of it. I made sure to update my profile regularly to show potential customers that I was reliable and trustworthy.
I also made it a point to be friendly and courteous to my customers. I would make small talk with them, offer them snacks and water, and make sure they had an enjoyable ride.
After a while, I started to get repeat customers and even earned some great reviews.
Today, it’s been two months since I started driving for Grab and I’m already making more money than I ever did at my old job. My customers love me, and I love the flexibility that comes with driving for Grab. I never thought I’d be able to make a living this way, but I’m so glad I took the chance.
Although sometimes there are some unruly Grab passengers I rather earn more.
