BOSS TOLD EMPLOYEES NO RED PACKET BECAUSE THEY ARE NEVER ON TIME FOR WORK

As a recently-hired employee at a multinational corporation, I was looking forward to my first Chinese New Year in the office.

It was a time of giving and receiving red packets filled with money and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one. Little did I know that my boss had other plans.

During the New Year’s celebrations, everyone was gathered in the office, wearing their red and gold outfits, waiting with anticipation for the red packets. That’s when my boss announced that no red packets were to be given out this year. Everyone was shocked and confused.

My boss explained that none of us had been on time for work for the past few months and that this was the reason for his decision. He said that he did not want to reward us for being late and that instead, he wanted us to learn a lesson, and to start being punctual.

I was taken aback by his decision. I had been late for work a few times, but I didn’t think it was that big of a deal. I couldn’t believe he was punishing us all for it. I was embarrassed and felt like I had let my boss down.

The rest of the employees were also feeling the same way. We had all been looking forward to the red packets, and now they were taken away from us. Everyone was grumbling and some were even angry.

My boss, however, was firm in his decision. He said that punctuality was important and that if we were going to be part of his team, we needed to start being on time. He said he would not give out the red packets until we started being punctual.

At first, I was a bit resentful of my boss’s decision. I thought it was unfair and unjust. But then, I realized that he was right. We had been slacking off and it was time for us to start being more responsible.

So, I decided to take my boss’s advice and start being punctual. I made sure to be at work on time every day and to finish my tasks before the deadline. I also made sure I was prepared for meetings and presentations.

After a few weeks, my boss noticed my dedication and rewarded me with a red packet. I was so happy and grateful. My hard work and dedication had paid off!

This experience taught me a valuable lesson. I learned that punctuality is important and that if you want to be successful in the workplace, you need to show up on time. I also learned that sometimes, even if you don’t agree with your boss’s decision, you should still respect it and take it as a learning experience.

My boss’s decision to not give out red packets that year was the best thing he could have done for us. It taught us to be responsible and punctual, and it showed us that our boss cares about us and wants us to be successful in our jobs.
