I’m a normal dude. A little overweight but if I suck in my stomach I just look beefy. But I can’t suck in my butt. It protrudes.

I did not work for this and it is real. My dad? Slender, tall, a bit muscular, flat as a washboard in the back.

My mom? Short, a bit chubby, big butt. Why did I get my dad’s height with my mom’s butt?

I learned that my mom is cheating on my dad. What should I do?

My mom (43F) is an accountant and my dad (44M) owns a small business. They’ve been married for 22 years.

Last weekend, one of my friends told me that my mom and some guy checked into a hotel he worked in.

My mom was supposed to be at a company seminar in a different city. My friend sent me their pictures, and I looked around in her socials. Sure enough, I found him in LinkedIn. He is her co-worker.

I accessed her Google photos account (she has her passwords written near her computer), and there were photos of them at various places when she was supposed to be at company events and stuff, going back to 2 years.

I have an 18y/o cat Misty, I’ve had her for most of my life and she helped me overcome many things such as my parent’s divorce, coming out, my mom’s death and many more. She’s precious to me and I know she doesn’t have much time left so I go out of my way to spoil her every single day.

2 years ago I got into a relationship with my bf, James knew I was a massive cat fan and although he didn’t share my enthusiasm for cats she didn’t mind it.

Last year I offered James to move in with me, I have my own apartment which I inherited from my mother, it’s in a nice location in our town and is close to James’s job. He agreed and moved in the following month.

Half a year after moving in James fell ill out of the blue, he brushed it off at first saying it’s probably nothing but I convinced him to go see a doctor and have some tests done.

The test results came in and we were shocked to discover James is allergic to cats. Apparently, he was probably mildly allergic to cats all his life but since she was never exposed to them for a long period of time it was never discovered. Him being exposed to Misty for over a year is what made his allergies much worse.

I’ve talked with James about our plans for the future. I offered he could start taking anti-allergy medication (which I said I’ll pay for) but he refused saying she doesn’t want to swallow a pill every day so he can keep living at home, which is valid.

I then asked him when she’s going to move out. James looked at me confused so I explained that since he is living with Misty is what causes him health issues it’ll be better for him to move out.

James started arguing with me, claiming I’m ridiculous for suggesting he moves out over a cat. I told him I’m not going to re-home Misty under any circumstances, and offered he could move in again after Misty passes away eventually, but until then he have to find a different place to live in.

After arguing some more James left to sleep at his sisters place and I’ve been getting calls from mutual friends who caught wind of the situation, some were sympathetic while others called me heartless for preferring a dying pet over a living human.

I’m very conflicted over this whole situation and although I feel like I’m doing what’s right and my request isn’t unreasonable I’m afraid I might be wrong.

I don’t have a lot of friends or family to share or vent to. What happened took place last year.

I (26m) lost my wife (25f) last year of April. She died in a car accident.

I know this has happened to many people, I know I’m not alone but most days I truly feel alone and feel an empty hole in my heart. Only a hole that she filled.

We went to school together. We got married when I was 22 and she was 21.

This woman- oh my God was she magnificent. Beautiful, caring, funny, intelligent, goofy. She had the best qualities. She was my first girlfriend. She was a hard worker, she always was the type to help others and give the shirt off her own back if needed. I loved that she was so passionate and caring to every human and living creature she’s met. She loved animals, she regularly fed strays, donated and volunteered at shelters when she didn’t have work.

In April of 2021, she got hit by a drunk driver. She died on scene. When she didn’t come home that night, I knew something was wrong. She didn’t answer her phone, her work place told me she had left hours ago. It was unusual that she wasn’t home the time she normally was. I panicked and began calling hospitals, jails, her family, her friends, everything I could think of. I called the police and they told me they’d get back to me. 30 min later, I get a call saying that she was in an accident and did not make it.

I have never felt heart break like this. I have never felt my world crumble around me like this. She was my best friend, my wife, my everything. We had so many memories and experiences together, we had so many plans to travel. Explore. I felt broken. I still feel broken, the pain has gotten easier but it’s still there. I haven’t even thought of dating or looking for someone else.

I miss her, every day. I’ve had dreams where I see her, she kisses me and disappears. I constantly think of our wedding and how gorgeous she looked. I keep thinking about what our kids would’ve looked like and if they would’ve gotten her beautiful hazel eyes or her stunning smile.

We rarely argued, I think I can count a total of 5 times we’ve had an argument in the almost 10 years we’ve been together. We never went to bed angry with eachother. We had so much in common, so many interests that were alike and also differences that we worked on and grew to overcome.

I don’t have anyone to vent to, I don’t go on social media often, and when I do I don’t want to vent because I don’t want people to see how broken I am inside. I’m not here to get pity or anything, I just wanted to get this off my chest and feel a little bit of relief sharing what happened.

I miss her. I miss her so much. The one thing that has been keeping me going is her cat. Since she’s been gone, her cat has grown to be attached to me and is my only companion. I think she senses the pain and loss.

Please hold on to the ones you love. Tell them how much they mean to you and how much you love them. I thought me and her were going to grow old together, and in an instant she was ripped away.

My husband is constantly zoning out or on his own world. He is lazy to speak most of the times but whenever he opens his mouth, he will says things that pisses me off and irritates me and claim I am bad tempered.

I am married to him for 7 years and almost everyday I feel like I am talking to the wall. I can ask him to help out with chores or call him out for some help and there will be totally no reply. I will have to start from talking to him to raising my voice to eventually yelling then he will just simply reply in a very calm tone that he never hear me at all. Even thought we may be less than 2 metres apart or within the same room.

He will insist that he never hear me speak at all and there is no sound. I always ask him how big is our house that I have to resort to screaming and yelling all the times and he still can’t hear me. And he replied our house is very big, obviously trying to piss me off. But fyi we’re only staying in a 3room condo, with very poor soundproof – given that most new homes have very weak soundproof now adays)

This morning my 3yo son was crying in his room and I was in the toilet. So I call for my husband who was lying on the bed to go over to our son room to take a look. After more then 5 minutes of repeatedly saying “dear can you go over and take a look at our son”, there was still no response/no reply from my husband, I had to rush out from the toilet then my husband immediately stood up from the bed and said “I just heard you only, before that totally no sound at all.”

My family members, neighbours are constantly hearing me yelling and my hubby will say “ ya she has a bad temper”. But I would think my husband is definitely the cause of my anger because I can never talk to him properly because I can never get any response or reply from him.

What can I do? He is like this since we first married. No change at all, and not like he is slowly getting worse. I struggled with this issue with him for many years. Before married during our dating times he was perfectly fine and totally attentive.

He will also behaves differently and is more attentive when people are around but whenever is just both of us he is totally back to his own world again.

Please advise what can I do to improve our communication. I always tell him my concerns and unhappiness and try to explain what needs to change to improve our communication but I am like talking to the wall all the times.
