CHEAPO COUPLE ATE $245 WORTH OF FOOD @ OUTRAM EATERY THEN FLEE WITHOUT PAYING

0

A man and woman allegedly racked up about S$245 in their supper bill at a restaurant along Outram and left without paying in the wee hours of 25 August, according to Shin Min Daily News.

A Late-Night Supper Gone Awry

It all unfolded at the Lao You Ji Fishhead Steamboat Seafood Restaurant, a popular late-night dining spot, around 4:45 am. At this hour, most of the city is asleep, but for night owls and hungry souls, this restaurant is a beacon of comfort.

The pair in question, a man and a woman purportedly in their 40s, arrived just when the restaurant was preparing to close its doors for the night.

Typically, the closing time is at 4:30 am, but the staff made an exception for these latecomers.

Culinary Delights and Unexpected Departure

The couple proceeded to order a delightful array of the restaurant’s signature dishes. Their order included Chinese spinach with eggs, steamed fish, steamed ginger chicken, and a side of rice. To quench their thirst, they also ordered two drinks.

As the night wore on, they found themselves unable to finish the generous portions of their meal. They requested that the remaining food be packed to go, a reasonable request often accommodated by restaurants. It was at this juncture that the situation took an unfortunate turn.

Unpaid Bill and a Disheartened Staff Member

Miscommunication and assumptions led to an unpleasant outcome. One of the restaurant staff members, Mr. Chen Wei, was under the impression that his colleagues had collected the bill.

Believing this, he thoughtfully packed the leftover food and left it on their table, expecting that the bill had been settled.

However, the reality was quite different. The pair quietly departed in a yellow taxi without paying their bill, which amounted to a substantial S$245.06. The restaurant staff, including Mr. Chen Wei, were left in disbelief as they discovered the unpaid bill.

For Mr. Chen Wei, who earns a monthly salary of only S$1,800, the unpaid bill is a significant burden. He had to bear the cost of the unpaid meal from his meager earnings.

Speaking about this predicament, he expressed his hopes that the couple would return and settle their bill as soon as possible.

“It’s a lot of money for me,” he pleaded, highlighting the financial strain this incident has caused him, and appealed for the couple to return to the restaurant and pay the bill.

GIRL WANTS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT BOSS TO FRIEND, TEXTS BOSS INSTEAD

0

A girl shared a story of how she had wanted to text her friend some gossip about her boss but accidentally sent it to her boss instead.

The short story is that the boss had high expectations on her team as they were directly under him and during the zoom meeting whenever her teammates or herself presented, the boss was constantly staring at them with the eye expression that they had better perform.

Here is the story

“I was in a very important and large Zoom meeting today at work with my boss, my colleagues, and people which belonged to other departments.

Now, he is the kind of boss that has very high expectations of his employees and will call you out if you are unprofessional or do something he thinks will make him or the company look bad in front of a customer.

He is not unreasonable, but if you work for him for any amount of time you learn that he has no tolerance for unprofessional behavior and will call you out on it.

In the Zoom meeting it was understood that we, as his team, were to be on our best behavior. My boss also has one of those faces where you can tell everything he is thinking.

The meeting went great, but the look on his face as members of the team were talking was one of “I am watching you closely and you better make us look good.”

I had my camera off as the meeting was wrapping up, so I opened a text to my best friend and basically said “My boss is staring down the team through this zoom meeting like he is trying to use Jedi mind tricks to bring them to the dark side.”

The meeting ended, and a few min later I get a text from my boss. It was then that I realised I had sent that comment to him and not my friend. His reply, “Should I take this as a compliment?”

MAID STOLE FROM EMPLOYER & GOT CAUGHT, SENT TO SHELTER & SHE STOLE AGAIN, JAILED

0

A 32-year-old Filipina maid, Jennifer Lamboson, stole from her Singapore employer and was caught before stealing again from her roommate at a shelter along Chin Cheng Avenue, according to The Straits Times.

She pleaded guilty to 2 counts of theft and was sentenced to 13 weeks imprisonment on 31 August.

The Beginning: Employment and Theft

In February 2020, Jennifer Lamboson commenced her employment as a domestic helper for a 46-year-old woman. Her responsibilities included taking care of the employer’s daughter.

However, as time passed, Lamboson’s financial difficulties led her down a path of deception. In February 2022, she stole $550 worth of jewelry from her employer, including a gold ring and pendant. She proceeded to pawn these items at various pawnshops, hoping to alleviate her financial woes.

Unveiling the Missing Valuables

Seven months later, the employer noticed the absence of her valuables and confronted Lamboson. In a classic denial tactic, Lamboson refuted any involvement in the disappearance of the items.

Suspicion grew, and the employer decided to take matters into her own hands. On October 11, 2022, she received a text message from a licensed moneylending firm inquiring about Lamboson’s employment status.

Puzzled by this unexpected message, the employer decided to involve the police, sensing that something was amiss.

The Confession and Recovery

In a police interview on January 9, 2023, Jennifer Lamboson finally confessed to her crimes. Officers managed to recover the stolen gold ring at a pawnshop, a crucial piece of evidence against her.

Although the court documents do not reveal the subsequent events, it is evident that Lamboson’s life was about to take another unexpected turn.

A Shelter’s Dark Secret

Lamboson ended up at a shelter operated by the Foreign Domestic Worker Association for Social Support and Training (Fast). This establishment was meant to provide refuge and support for individuals in need.

On the evening of July 18, 2023, while assisting her 47-year-old roommate in making a bed, Lamboson stumbled upon her roommate’s valuables in a bag. The temptation proved too great, and she stole two rings and a necklace.

Three hours later, the roommate discovered her missing jewelry. Lamboson, without her work permit and passport, sought the help of a 50-year-old domestic helper on July 20.

She convinced the unsuspecting woman to pawn the stolen items on her behalf, claiming that they belonged to her. This deception led to the jewelry being pawned at two pawnshops in Bishan.

On July 24, the roommate reported the theft to the police. Lamboson’s confession followed during her interrogation on the next day. Authorities promptly arrested her, leading to the recovery of all the stolen jewelry from the pawnshops and the 50-year-old woman.

SPIRITS OF CHILDREN LIVING IN GUY’S HOME, WATCHES HIM AT NIGHT

0

A netizen shared a chilling story of how there are spirits of children in his home who used to watch him at night when he was a child himself, and even heard voices and had his things moved around.

Here is the story:

It’s commonly known within my family that our house is haunted, but my parents don’t like us discussing it with people outside the family, for some reason.

So, as the title says, there are spirits (or ghosts, I’m not sure the difference) that live inside the home.

So the first time I remember seeing them was when I was around 8 years old, my parents wanted to prepare me to become independent at a young age ( and don’t even get me started on that place and paranormal activity) and so started to encourage me to sleep in my own room.

The thing is, after a while weird things started to happen, I started hearing children’s voices, my toys would go missing or move from where I’d put them while I slept and several times I would wake up in the middle of the night with something holding down my arms and legs so I couldn’t move and there was once where a handprint, too small to be my own, was on the side of my butt/hip area.

You might say “Oh that could just be a case of sleep paralysis” or something like that, but I truly don’t believe it was as these things would only happen when I slept alone in the bedroom and not when I was sleeping with my parents or taking a nap in the living room.

This also doesn’t happen to me at all when I’m sleeping at a relative’s house or at a friend’s sleepover.

This is the bit that confirms that they’re child spirits to me, you may think I’m crazy when reading this next bit but I know what I saw. So a couple of times over the years when waking up, or walking into the room, or whatever, I would see them.

This rarely happened. I can only think of 4 times I know I saw them over the years I lived there. I remember each time vividly, the first I was 11 I had woken up to use the bathroom and when I walked back into my room there were 3 boys looking back at me, they didn’t seem sad, or angry or anything like that, they looked at me with confusion and maybe fear, like they couldn’t figure out what was happening either.

I slammed the door and ran to my parents room and I slept with them that night.

As I grew up and had gotten a little “braver” and used to the presence, and my parents later told me that they knew about the spirits.

And when I asked them why they still made me sleep in the room alone, they told me the spirits were harmless, and added “then what? you want to sleep with us until you become an adult meh?”

So yeah, that is my story.

WOMAN GOT MANICURE FROM SHIRTLESS MEN UNTIL NOSEBLEED, SALON BEING INVESTIGATED

0

A nail salon in the Wuhua district of Kunming, China, has found itself at the center of a raging controversy after a video recently surfaced on various social media platforms, featuring topless muscular male manicurists diligently attending to their female clientele, according to China Press.

The Viral Video: A Closer Look

The video, which has since gone viral, paints an unexpected picture of the salon. It portrays one manicurist boldly shirtless, another donning just an apron, both catering to female customers in a most unconventional manner.

In a bizarre twist, the video even captures a moment when a female customer experiences a nosebleed during her manicure session, further intensifying the public’s curiosity.

An Attempt at Humorous Advertising

Responding to the barrage of queries from mainland Chinese media, the nail salon took an unexpected stance. They claimed that the video was, in fact, a mere advertising stunt, and it was meant as a humorous take to attract potential customers and create a buzz for promotional purposes.

The salon also clarified the identities of those featured in the video. One of the shirtless manicurists is working as an apprentice at the salon, while the other man is a friend of his.

Remarkably, the female customer who seemingly suffered a nosebleed is, in reality, a staff member of the salon.

The salon’s spokesperson went on to explain that the apprentice typically adheres to the dress code but decided to bare it all for the sake of the promotional video.

An Investigation Takes Flight

As controversy continued to swirl, the Wuhua district authorities decided to launch an investigation. The decision was prompted by a flurry of complaints from concerned consumers who found the video rather unconventional, if not outright disturbing.

The situation escalated further when Jimu News, a prominent mainland Chinese media outlet, published an op-ed condemning the salon’s actions.

The op-ed argued that appearing shirtless in a public setting was a breach of social etiquette and labeled the advertisement as having obscene undertones.

It also emphasized the stringent requirements laid out in China’s advertising laws, which prohibit content that disrupts social norms or contains explicit or obscene material.

GUY THINKS THAT ARMPIT HAIR ON WOMEN IS HOT, LOVES IT

0

A guy shared how he thinks that body and armpit hair on women is “hot” and that he loves it.

Here is the story:

I’m a guy but I couldn’t care about what people say, I really love body hair on women. I remember being outside on a warm day once but there was this woman who was wearing a pair of jeans but I got a glimpse of her private hair down there sticking out the top of her jeans, I got so turned on by it man lol.

A bit of body hair is way more attractive than completely smooth in my opinion, even if I notice hair on a woman’s legs or arms I get turned on

I mean, shave if you want but I just find body hair on women attractive, and adult women are meant to have body hair anyway.

Honestly, it’s hot in my opinion!

Netizens’ comments

  • This made me feel less insecure body hair 🙂
  • I had an ex that loved a full bush. And I loved him for that. He disapproved of me even trimming it up. It actually helps when you’re riding on your BF by allowing you to glide rather than being stuck on bald skin.
  • I’ve been so insecure because I had surgery and shaving has been so hard. This made me feel a lot better about it 🙂 makes me feel a lot more positive and almost allows me to stop stressing about not being able to shave atm
  • Some might call this a fetish, but it’s a primal thing that most modern men avoid. Even the aroma is primal, with pheromones and all.
  • I’ve always been so worried focusing on the men who don’t like body hair that I’ve never realized there are men who do like it. It makes me feel less overwhelmed or stressed over shaving. Thank you for existing and putting this out there.

COUPLE “TRYING TO BE FUNNY” ON MT FABER RD AT NIGHT, “7 MONTH DON’T SCARE PEOPLE LEH”

The Hungry Ghost Festival, also known as the Seventh Month, ushers in an eerie atmosphere in many parts of the world. Singapore, with its rich cultural tapestry, is no exception. It is a time when traditional beliefs hold that the gates to the underworld are open, allowing spirits to roam freely

As the veil between the realms grows thinner during this time, encountering unexpected sights in the dead of night can send shivers down one’s spine, especially for motorists.

In a recent incident at Mount Faber, a rider had a spine-tingling encounter at 2.15 am in the morning.

A Late-Night Chill Ride

The motorcyclist, who later shared his experience on TikTok, embarked on a late-night journey down Mount Faber. He described the ride as “chill,” but little did he know that he was about to come across something that would make his heart race.

A Spooky Encounter

As he made his way down the winding roads of Mount Faber, the rider’s dashcam captured something unusual. In the video, the rider encounters what appears to be a man and a woman standing by the roadside in the dead of night.

The two of them appear to be hugging each other on the roads, as the motorists ride past them along the bend. The rider recording the footage almost crashed into them and managed to swerve away from them in the nick of time.

The eerie scene seems to have startled him, and he couldn’t help but mention that it was the Seventh Month, asking the couple not to scare people by being on the roads with many bends, highlighting how dangerous it is.

In a humorous attempt to lighten the mood, he jokes, “I’m still too young to go visit my ancestors.”

The Danger of Mount Faber Roads

As the video continues, the rider draws attention to the treacherous nature of the road at Mount Faber, which is known for its many bends. Crossing such a road, especially at night, can be extremely hazardous.

With genuine concern, he implores, “Please don’t walk on the roads.” His plea echoes the sentiment of many who are familiar with the potential dangers of Mount Faber’s winding paths, especially during the Hungry Ghost Festival when spirits are believed to be particularly active.

Netizens’ comments
