NSF ENLISTED IN NS FOR 8 MONTHS, THEN “BURNT OUT & NEED A VACATION”

0

Burnt out and need a bloody vacation

Little info about myself, this month marks my 8 months since enlisting. I’m currently less than a month away from finishing my SCS course and passing out as 3rd sergeant.

As the title suggests I am so burnt out and in desperate need of time off. Dont get me wrong NS hasnt been all that bad.

Only reason I have pushed through crappy outfields, boring lessons, never-ending live firings only because of the section mates I was blessed with

But I am so burnt out. Waking up everyday without purpose and motivation knowing that I still have a year and a half left of this hell has led me to feel extremely burnt out.

I indicated interest in SCS because I want to eventually want to come back to tekong and make difference and help new recruits.

But I have realised that 3rd sergeants are given zero support and platform to do this. Thus i am beginning to lose motivation and interest.

Lately my burnout has gotten worse and evidence of this is I keep forgetting stuff at home/in bunk, messing up things I usually would never mess up.

I am clearly mentally exhausted and need a break. When I bookout, I am so exhausted I just wanna sleep and be alone.

I am so easily irritated and losing interest in things I once considered as my hobbies. I hate who I’m becoming.

38 Y.O MAN CRASHED VAN INTO UNMOVING BUS & BROKE BOTH HANDS OF PASSENGER, JAILED

0

38-year-old Singaporean Sheikh Oli KH Rahman Shah was sentenced to 6 weeks imprisonment on 1 November, after pleading guilty to driving without due care and attention under the Road Traffic Act, according to TODAY.

Sheikh failed to notice a stationary bus that had broken down on the Tampines Expressway. The consequences of his oversight were severe, resulting in a collision that left his van passenger with multiple fractures on both hands.

What happened?

The incident took place on June 12, 2020, on the leftmost lane of the Tampines Expressway towards the Seletar Expressway. The bus, which had broken down, was positioned in a vulnerable spot, causing considerable concern for the safety of the passengers and other road users. To mitigate the risk, the bus driver, Mr. Chellaiah Vinoth, took proactive measures by placing a breakdown sign about three car lengths behind the bus and switching on the hazard lights.

Broke both hands

The collision had serious repercussions, primarily for Mr. Saifullah, who was Sheikh’s van passenger. Mr. Saifullah suffered from multiple fractures in both his hands due to the impact of the collision. The severity of his injuries was substantial, requiring him to be on a total of 65 days’ hospitalization leave from June 13 to August 16, 2020.

A medical report dated March 8 this year revealed that while Mr. Saifullah’s fractures had healed well, his left wrist showed a slight decrease in the range of motion, indicating a 2 percent permanent impairment.

Punishment

The law does not take incidents of this nature lightly. Sheikh Oli KH Rahman Shah faced legal consequences for his actions, which included driving without due care and attention under the Road Traffic Act. As a result, he was sentenced to six weeks in jail and disqualified from holding or obtaining all classes of driving licenses for five years.

Sheikha also made full compensation to Mr. Saifullah for all the medical bills incurred as a result of the accident. This gesture highlights the importance of acknowledging one’s actions and taking steps to rectify the situation.

The incident’s severity was evident from the damage caused to Sheikh’s van due to the impact of the collision. Video footage revealed that Sheikh was driving at considerable speed at the time of the accident. However, the specific speed was not mentioned in the court documents.

TOURIST SAYS “S’POREANS ARE RUDE! I MISS M’SIA” – GRAB DRIVER MISSED HER STOP & TOLD HER TO WALK

0

In recent times, social media has proven to be a powerful platform for people to share their experiences and voice their opinions.

One such incident that sparked a heated discussion about customer service and attitudes in Singapore involved a Grab driver and a foreign woman who had just arrived in the city-state. This incident serves as a thought-provoking example of how customer service can significantly impact a traveler’s first impression of a new place.

The Incident on Social Media

The incident began when a foreign woman who had arrived in Singapore shared a video on social media expressing her dissatisfaction with her initial experience in the city. In the video, she made her feelings clear, stating, “People are so rude!” She went on to recount a specific incident involving a Grab driver that left her quite dismayed.

The incident in question revolved around a Grab driver who was tasked with taking the foreign woman to her hotel. Unfortunately, the driver missed her hotel’s location, which led to her having to walk a considerable distance with a heavy bag. She politely requested the driver to make a U-turn due to the inconvenience of her heavy luggage, but to her surprise, the driver declined her request with a curt, “No, walk it.”

Undeterred by the driver’s response, the passenger insisted on her request, explaining that she had paid for a service to be taken directly to her hotel. She pointed out her heavy bag and stated that it was unreasonable to expect her to walk a considerable distance.

To her dismay, the Grab driver informed her that he had another customer waiting and instructed her to disembark, adding, “If you don’t get out right now, I’m going to drive with you to the next customer.”

Desperate to reach her intended destination, the woman continued to plead with the driver. She asked him to return to the original drop-off point and reasoned, “Can you please just take me back to the place you were supposed to drop me off?”

Regrettably, the situation escalated when the driver began driving recklessly, causing the woman to become emotional and burst into tears and ultimately agree with the driver, saying, “Fine, I will walk, whatever.”

Public Reaction

The woman’s video quickly gained traction on social media, sparking outrage and discussions among the online community. Many users expressed their empathy for the woman and their disappointment with the Grab driver’s behavior.

INDONESIAN MAN SWAM FROM JB TO SINGAPORE, CAUGHT AFTER BEING UNDETECTED FOR 10 MONTHS

0

According to an article by CNA, an Indonesian man, Muhammad Izal, defied the odds by swimming back into Singapore illegally, despite being previously deported and banned from entering the country due to immigration offenses.

This audacious act involved using a trash bag as a makeshift flotation device to navigate the treacherous waters from Malaysia to Singapore.

Izal’s audacity, however, was met with justice as he was apprehended and subsequently sentenced to 15 months in jail, accompanied by seven strokes of the cane.

The Repeat Offender

Muhammad Izal, a 34-year-old Indonesian national, found himself on the wrong side of the law, facing charges related to illegal entry into Singapore without a valid pass and without the necessary permissions.

His audacity might have shocked many, but it was not his first brush with Singaporean authorities.

According to court documents, Izal had been charged multiple times in the past for immigration-related offenses in Singapore.

His most recent legal entanglement occurred in August 2021 when he entered Singapore without a valid pass and returned to the country illegally after having been previously removed.

This led to his conviction and a one-year jail sentence, along with six strokes of the cane.

The Warning and Deportation

Before his deportation in May 2022, Izal was served with a written notice that clearly indicated he was banned from re-entering Singapore from the date of his deportation.

This notice emphasized the requirement of obtaining prior written permission from the Controller of Immigration for any future entry or residence in Singapore.

Failing to do so would result in prosecution and a jail term ranging from one to three years upon conviction.

Izal acknowledged this notice by placing his thumbprint on it, after which he was deported back to Indonesia on May 28, 2022.

Despite these strict warnings and previous convictions, Izal’s determination to return to Singapore remained undeterred.

The Audacious Return

After a brief seven-month stay in his homeland, Izal decided to make a bold and illegal return to Singapore, driven by the allure of illegal employment.

His journey began with a ferry ride from Batam, Indonesia, to Stulang Laut in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

From there, he spent two nights planning his audacious swim towards Singapore’s Pulau Ubin island.

What sets this story apart is the means Izal employed to make this perilous swim – he used a black trash bag as an inflatable floating device, as stated in court documents.

This makeshift flotation device exemplifies the lengths to which some individuals are willing to go in pursuit of their objectives, regardless of the risks involved.

After successfully reaching Pulau Ubin, Izal took a brief respite before resuming his swim towards Changi Beach.

During his daring journey, he remained undetected and continued to stay illegally in Singapore for approximately ten months, until October 23 of the same year.

The Apprehension and Legal Consequences

Izal’s journey came to an abrupt end when he was apprehended by officers of the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) at Woodlands Road.

He was unable to produce any evidence that demonstrated his legal residence in Singapore.

Further investigation revealed his fingerprints, which were traced to a person with an “adverse record” under the name of Muhammad Izal.

As a result of his actions, Izal was sentenced to 15 months in jail and seven strokes of the cane, reflecting the serious nature of his offenses and the determination of the Singaporean authorities to enforce immigration laws effectively.

A Complex Motivation

In his defense, Izal expressed remorse for his actions and emphasized his familial responsibilities, including children and sick parents.

BF COLLECTS SOCKS OF GF TO SNIFF IT & ENJOY THE AROMA IN A PHYSICAL WAY

0

A girl shared a story online after realising her socks were constantly missing and reappeared after a week or two. She posted the story of how she escaped from her sick boyfriend.

Here is the story:

I just made the most shocking discovery of my life, my boyfriend has been together with me for 2 years has a weird habit or fetish or whatever you wanna call it.

We are staying together and I realised my socks have been missing every other week. I asked my boyfriend he said that he has no idea. I started to digged around the house and I find it under the mattress and they were stacked in a pile as if someone gathered it.

I confronted my boyfriend as no one stays in the house only me and him, I asked why did he hide all my socks. He said that it’s a prank and I forgive him as it was a small matter. But something felt wrong.

I installed a CCTV secretly without my boyfriend knowing and mount it above the cabinet and faced the bed. The camera could auto-detect motion and start to record. I installed it and reviewed it a week later.

To my horror, I saw my boyfriend sniffing at my socks while “beating the aeroplane”…….

It’s not fresh socks from the laundry, its dirty socks leh.

Should I leave him or should I confront him, something is definitely not right with his head if I confront him. It would be like talking to a crazy person.

What should I do, any advice?

In a shocking case that highlights the pressing issue of workplace harassment, Mohamed Rozi Mohamed Nor recently pleaded guilty to using criminal force to outrage the modesty of a female colleague.

What followed was a series of distressing actions that left the victim traumatized.

The Disturbing Incident

According to TODAY, the victim was alone at her work desk when Rozi approached her to inquire about the new fan.

Deterrent Sentence

The severity of the harassment and its occurrence during work hours have led to calls for a deterrent sentence. It is imperative that employees feel safe and protected in their workplace.

Rozi could face up to three years in jail, fines, caning, or a combination of these punishments for each charge of using criminal force.

MAN SAW SON’S “DOWN THERE”, FEELS INSECURE BECAUSE BIGGER THAN HIS

0

I accidentally saw my teenage son’s manhood and it made me feel insecure about myself.

So for context I’m his dad and I’m 36 and he’s 18. My wife asked me to wrangle him and the other kids so I made the rounds.

I had just seen him fully dressed a few minutes ago in his room so without thinking I just opened the door and went back in (I know I should have knocked I wasn’t thinking) and I hear “Dad what the hell!”

And there’s my son, just like the day he was born and I hadn’t seen him without any clothes on since he was little but he’s not little anymore.

At only 18 his manhood is freakishly big. Far bigger than mine. I awkwardly apologized to him and told him dinner was read than left.

Obviously I’ve seen other men’s genitals before. I was on the football team in school and saw other students occasionally including others more endowed than me but this is different.

This is my own son and I didn’t enjoy seeing it. It’s just so huge that it freaked me out but I’m definitely happy for him, I just feel bad for his girlfriend he just started seeing because he might honestly kill her.

JOBLESS GF REFUSE TO HELP OUT AT HOME, NETFLIX ALL DAY

0

This has nothing to do with money. We split the rent and we share everything 50-50. I am an engineer and my GF works in healthcare. One month ago her contract at ended and she has been unemployed since.

She has already found another job but she would be able to start two months after her previous job ended, that means in a month from now. So for the past month she has been living her best life. She’s spending her mornings studying for her new job but also reading, watching Netflix, going to the gym and for runs with her dog etc.

However she hasn’t started contributing more to the household. I mean she still cooks and cleans every day but she still expects me to wash the dishes and she won’t pick up my clothes after I have returned from work. The other day I left a bunch of my mail on the table and when I returned it was left unopened, I asked her why she didn’t look through it and she told me she’s not my secretary. I have been hinting that she should be picking up more chores now that she’s unemployed but she says that she’s not my housekeeper, she does more than half of the chores and since my workload has not increased I should be able to do mine.

I mean yes, I am able to do it but I am tired from work and she isn’t so I had expected her to step up a little but no, she claims this is her break from working hard and other hurtful things, like she didn’t go to med school to be a live-in maid etc.

So am I wrong For expecting her to do most of the chores while she’s unemployed?

MAN FORCES GRANDMA INTO A RETIREMENT HOME TO GET AWAY FROM RESPONSIBILITIES

0

My grandmother (GM) was kicked out of my aunt’s house went she caused so many marital problems my uncle threatened to divorce my aunt if she didn’t. She lived for a few years in a nursing home before the pandemic but during the pandemic there were tons of nursing home deaths so my aunt and mom got her out. I’m the oldest of my mother’s children so I got so much pressure to take care of my grandma during the pandemic.

I didn’t mind too much initially because the deal was I didn’t pay rent and lived with her to cook, clean and help her with her diabetes. I don’t know my GM well so I thought it might be a good bonding experience and I worked remote so it would be so bad. Well the first problem came when I told them I was bringing my dog. My GM freaked out telling me she would never let a filthy animal in her house. It was the one dealbreaker I had and I told my aunt or mom Oliver (my dog) had to come with but they never told my GM for fear of her reaction. I put my foot down saying if he isn’t coming I’m not either and I guess my GM gave up because she didn’t want to go back to the nursing home but she made Oliver’s life a living hell. She would scream at him every time she was him and I tried to keep them separate but she would demand I abandon him because she’s my GM. In the end I had no choice but to leave him with my friend temporarily because she was so unbearable.

Next was washing clothing, she demanded I wash all her clothing by hand and she had a washing machine but she would scream “you’re lazy!” at me if she catches me using it. She also wanted restaurant quality meals and throw sandwiches and cereal on the ground if she didn’t like it.

Finally she didn’t believe I worked because I work online (I’m an accountant) and she would yell at me during the middle of meeting for ignoring her when I told her I needed 30 min of peace to attend meeting. My boss told me many times to get her to stop doing that but she never listens.

She has diabetes that isn’t managed well and I tried to get her on a healthy diet but she screams and yells at me when she doesn’t get what foods she wants which cause huge sugar fluctuations which causes her ulcers on her feet to get worse and weep. It was hard to get Appointments to the doctor so I had to clean them and I am not qualified. When I persisted though the yelling and screaming her ulcers to maker her eat healthy her ulcers would get much better and start healing but in the end I gave up and let her eat anything she wanted so she would shut up but it made her blood sugars worse and her ulcers worse which I had to deal with.

So after almost 2 years of hell I got out and moved away. My GM is so mad because she expected I stay there looking after her until she passes. I told my mom and aunt I wasn’t doing that and they begged me to guilty me with the fact she was going to die alone at a nursing home.

I feel like a terrible person because I didn’t feel any guilt I just didn’t care after dealing with her for 2 years
