GIRL DATING SCHOOL DROP-OUT WHO WANTS TO LEPAK & NOT WORK, SCARED FAMILY REJECT HIM

0

I (F21) am dating M(21) who is a drop out

We have been together 2 years in a stable relationship. But we had our toxic on-and-off breakups for 2 years before ending it officially, then getting back together in a stable relationship (now). So that explains why my family is not having a really good impression of him. We have been dating secretly for 2 years now. Both our families know we are dating, just that they don’t know its the same partner.

I have not introduced him to my family and I’m scared to do so cos idk how and what kind of response I’m gonna get. I honestly get stressed when I think about ‘what if my family does not like him’? I don’t know what I will do then, because I can’t abandon my family but I really do not want to leave him.

Another problem that comes with this is that he is a drop out and has no intention to earn money for now. He is focusing on his dreams, and aspirations and I fully support that. But I can’t help and wonder what happens if I marry him. What about our financial issues? I am going to graduate in about 1.5 years and my starting pay is low- in fact, this industry is known for being underpaid. So I can’t depend on him to pay for housing, food, car etc. He said that if his dreams dont work in 10(?) years, he will start looking for a job. I am not sure how to feel about that- he does not have any working experience and does not even have a degree.

Idk how to feel about this whole situation, but I do know that I want to work it out with him. Hopefully anyone with similar experience can share?

Update:

Hi 🙂 First of all, thank you all for the comments and messages- I was not expecting so many people to respond and give insight. I have read most of the comments (appreciate all, either good or nasty) and I understand the shared consensus. I would like to clarify some things before I get new messages and comments 🙂

Is he financially dependent on me. He is not financially dependent on me now. I have seen several comments mentioning “leeching off” and would like to address that. We go on dates occasionally and always we pay alternatively- meaning he pays for one full date and I pay the next. I have offered to pay for some of his equipment (used for chasing his dream) and he has turned me down multiple times.

His dream. Everyone is asking about his dream to have a clearer picture. Out of privacy reasons, I will not be stating his dream specifically. All I can say is that he wants to be the best in an Olympic sport (in fact, he wants to be a national representative).

His reason for not working. His reason is that the time spent on working, can be spent on chasing his dream and working on it. He wants to not ‘half-ass’ his effort spend on chasing his dream. He wants to put full effort and time into his dream.

I just would like to clarify any miscomm and would love to hear from you all. Am intending to talk with him this Sat and will update here again 🙂

BF REFUSE TO EAT GF’S OYSTER, SAYS IT’S BECAUSE WILL AFFECT HIS MASCULINITY

0

Bf doesn’t wanna go down on me and the reason is quite silly

Yep so I(18F) asked my bf(20M) today if maybe he would like wanna go down on me and he told me politely that he wouldn’t because of like masculinity and ego.

So basically what I’m asking, is how does going down on a woman affect masculinity?

cause I definitely don’t see any non-masculine about that, but I respected his decision because we both want to do what we’re both comfortable with, but it sucks cause I do give him head lol

But he pleasures me fingers me and rubs my cl-t but just doesn’t do head

(Oh and he did say that maybe in the future he might )

Netizens’ comments

  1. Fellas, is it feminine to please a woman?
  2. Ironically enough, from a man’s point of view, I think you are less of man if you don’t and more of a man if you do.
  3. Guys are still this way, but some put in more effort to get your off. The keepers work hard and do the things you need to get you screaming their names.
  4. I get an ego boost when I go down on my lady. When her legs tense as she climaxes and my head feels like it’s going to be crushed is exhilarating to me. Tell him to grow a pair and just eat it.
  5. From a “normal/average” 32m point I have never felt like it affects my masculinity, nor have I ever heard of it being at all related to ‘your’ masculinity x
  6. His vision of masculinity is simply wrong and toxic, nothing more.
  7. I love giving oral to my gf and I still feel masculine. Wtf is he talking about? He was probably watching Tate stuff or some thing like that. The world is lost

GUY LOOKING FOR JOB BUT KEEPS FINDING INSURANCE JOBS “DISGUISED” AS NORMAL JOBS

0

When applying for jobs. Is there a way to Siam all the FA Roles.

FA = Financial advisor aka relationship consultant manager aka financial consultant / agent (Edited cause someone asked )

They bloody conceal their Job title as “sales support executive” “ management trainee “ “ sales support associate “

Already double confirmed via text message, Idw FA roles. During the interview still SHILLLING ME about FA job. How “ oh our leads are diff. Out of 3 we have 2 MDRTs” JESUS CHRIST. It’s goddamn irritating for job seekers.

Is there a way to report these ppl on job search websites.

The only consolation is, lucky all zoom appt. Else it’s a colossal waste of my time. F

Please advice. And I’m looking for a job. If y’all company are hiring mind referring?

Netizens’ comments

  1. Report the job postings, it’ll get them taken down and the account banned on LinkedIn and Job street pretty quickly.
  2. Look up the organisation/hiring manager on LinkedIn. Refuse the invites if they’re dodgy. I hate the false advertisement as much as you do; when I was starting out and looking for an investments role, I had to weed through insurance agent openings too. They could really just call a spade a spade.
  3. Do background research of the company on LinkedIn and Glassdoor
  4. Don’t apply on these job ad sites.. Find a company that has positions you’re interested in and apply directly from their site contact list
  5. I read the JD, roughly gets rid of 3/4 of them…I am actively avoiding FA roles, just like you.
  6. Use a recruitment agency rather than just LinkedIn. Or apply directly. Better still, referrals from friends.
You must be looking at a somewhat related role in order to be hitting the same openings so you’re better off with a recruiter or talking to hiring managers

WOMAN’S FIANCE CALLING OFF WEDDING CAUSE SHE LAST TIME 1 SHOT PIAK 3 GUYS

0

My fiancé is calling off our wedding because of my past.

I’ve (28F) been with my (I guess ex…?)fiancé (31M) for about 2 years total. We got engaged last year when he popped the question shortly after I moved in with him. We were supposed to get married this year but he changed his mind.

Things were going great and normal until we had a conversation the other night about what I was up to before I met him.

He knew I was going through a “ho phase” at the time, but he didn’t know to what extent.

But the other night, he kept prying for details so I finally told him about a g-bang I had with 3 other guys. He is now disgusted with me.

He kept saying “I can’t believe you of all people would let yourself get used like that.” And “I just can’t look at you the same anymore.”

Now he is backing out of getting married with me. We’re still together but he says he has to keep thinking about whether or not he wants to spend the rest of his life with me.

The last few days, living with him has been miserable. He is avoiding all eye contact and is just short and cold towards me in general. I don’t know what to do.

Should I have just lied about it and kept it a secret? Does he just need time to process it, or is the relationship doomed?

Netizens’ comments

  1. Young me would have never asked since I wouldn’t want to know the answer. Olderish, happily married me “tell me more”…. Time and experience are a funny thing
  2. I think it’s better to discuss past before getting engaged tbh
  3. Sounds like he moved too quick with you and should have had those questions earlier on. You’re allowed your fun and he’s allowed to not be ok with it.
  4. i’d lean towards it being doomed, it will always bother him and be a dark cloud over you two
  5. You’re getting starkly different responses because it has to do with a person’s values. Whether he should have asked is irrelevant because you can’t put the genie back in the bottle.

GIRL WITH DEGREE IN “PHILOSOPHY” CAN’T FIND RELATED JOBS IN SG, REGRETS HER CHOICE

0

Those who pursued ‘less practical’ degrees, how has your life turned out?

A close friend of mine recently shared with me on her job change. She did a degree in philosophy as it was her passion and she has very good writing skills.

However obv there aint jobs related to that degree in sg. She work for a while in 2 editorial companies but her career was going nowhere.

As she had plans to marry and need to save up, she has to spend hours to take additional courses and self learn new stuff and recently changed field to a UX designer in a IT company.

She regretted it big time on her degree choice and said she would have chosen smth more practical like CS or engineering.

We all know that many ppl choose practical degrees like CS, law, engineering, medicine for the career opportunities.

Ppl who did lesser known or marketable degrees, how has it affected your life and career? Will you still pursue this degree if you can turn back the clock?

Netizens’ comments

  1. My major was Psychology. Now working as a Data Scientist.
That was what I did – I had to take more courses during my private time to do data science and I am doing my Masters in Data Science now.
I could have saved more time if I had taken CS for my major, but 10 years ago, everyone discouraged me to take CS because ” the job would get outsourced to India or Vietnam anyway”.
I do plan to go back to a job related to psychology and social science while also utilizing my data science skills soon. I was laid off by a tech company and I don’t see myself continuing in any of these tech companies because I don’t see them recovering to the scale during covid and I am getting old. So all is not lost.
  2. I am a philosophy grad, am managing the APAC division of an international tech firm, travelling between several SEA countries monthly.
Many of my classmates works in banks or financial firms and are making buttloads of money. There’s apparently a fetish for humanities grads in these western investment firms, especially philosophy or sociology degrees.
  3. Majored in History in NUS. Did sciences my whole life but found my passion in history in university, never regretted it.
You don’t pick up technical skills, but social sciences/humanities do teach you how to process large amounts of information, and present arguments well in concise ways. More soft skills I guess, which can be applicable in the business world.
Been working in operational excellence/lean six sigma work for the past 7 years. First for public healthcare, then now for a global healthcare mnc. Travelling to various markets around the world to drive operational efficiency projects.
Had to pick up lean six sigma certifications and brush up on stats/data visualisation/data processing along the way.
So no, I don’t see how your chosen university degree has to limit your options out in the real world.

JB HOTEL LIFT PLUNGES FROM 4TH FLOOR WITH PEOPLE INSIDE, CLAIMS NO HELP ARRIVED

A distressing incident unfolded at a hotel in Johor Bahru (JB) when a lift unexpectedly plummeted from the fourth level, causing fear and entrapment among its occupants who were trapped inside the lift carriage.

Astonishingly, the guests had to take matters into their own hands to escape, as assistance allegedly failed to arrive from the hotel.

One of the traumatized occupants, who encountered this harrowing experience, shared their account on TikTok under the username @kef_tan.

According to their recollection, the lift descended abruptly from the fourth floor without any prior warning. The elevator abruptly came to a jarring halt at the fourth level before plummeting just moments later, catching everyone off guard.

The incident unfolded rapidly, leaving the occupants in a state of terror. Shockingly, even the emergency bell button within the lift proved unresponsive, exacerbating the situation.

During the ordeal, the trapped occupants faced additional challenges as their mobile phones received no signal, and there was a baby among them.

After enduring over 10 agonizing minutes, they made the courageous decision to pry open the lift doors themselves.

Shockingly, throughout the entire episode, no assistance was forthcoming from the hotel staff, as claimed by the TikTok user. Their distressing account suggested a lack of support from the establishment, leaving the occupants to fend for themselves in a time of crisis.

Despite the absence of help, the OP reassured that the baby and the rest of the guests emerged from the incident unharmed.

The TikTok video, which has gained significant attention, depicts several individuals maneuvering their way out of the lift. By creating a triangular gap through prying the doors open, they managed to secure a swift exit.

Supportive of one another, the occupants assisted in holding the doors open, ensuring a safe escape for everyone involved.

@kef_tan Can you imagine how’s the feeling plunging down from level 4 all of a sudden feels like? Its horrifying & its nothing like in the movie, there is no split second for u to take any action. It happens so fast & its just a hard stop at level 4, split second a full drop! BANG! A baby is in there too. Pitch black & best part…bell doesnt work! Hp zero reception! 10mins seems like forever in there till everyone agrees on forcing it open! #KSL #kslhotelandresort #kslhoteljohorbahru #lifthorror #malaysia ♬ original sound – Kef Tan

37 Y.O MOLESTER TRESPASSED INTO NTU DORM AGAIN AFTER PRISON RELEASE, JAILED AGAIN

0

In 2018, Muhammad Shahrin Mohd Shah received a jail sentence and caning for molestation and trespassing at NTU. However, he later returned to the campus again on two separate occasions and tried to enter 11 dorms at NTU in 2022 despite just being released from prison, according to a report by Channel NewsAsia.

He was sentenced to 14 months imprisonment and fined $2,800 for his latest offence.

What happened?

On two separate occasions, Shahrin returned to the university campus to commit trespassing offenses. In September 2022, he drove to a nearby carpark and proceeded to wander through the dormitory corridors, attempting to enter rooms and “look at girls.”

Clad in a hooded jacket, long pants, and a face mask, he took precautions to avoid direct contact with door handles. One incident involved him entering a room where a female student was sleeping with her boyfriend, but he quickly exited upon realizing his mistake.

In December 2022, Shahrin repeated his trespassing acts. This time, he parked his vehicle near a hall of residence and roamed the corridors shirtless, wearing long pants and a cap. To avoid detection by CCTV cameras, he carried an umbrella and shielded his face. Although he tried to enter a student’s room, he failed due to it being locked.

The prosecutor highlighted the striking similarity between Shahrin’s fresh offenses and his previous convictions. Not only did he violate the privacy of university dormitories, where students have the right to feel safe, but the victims were also vulnerable as they were asleep during these incidents. The premeditated nature of the offenses was evident as Shahrin wore a mask, carried an umbrella for cover, and relied on his knowledge of the NTU dormitory layout.

Furthermore, Shahrin used a towel to avoid leaving DNA evidence on door handles, a method he employed to prevent identification. However, it was this very DNA evidence that led to his arrest in the 2018 case. These striking resemblances highlight the seriousness and persistence of his criminal behavior.

The prosecutor sought a jail term of nine to 13 months, along with a fine and a two-year driving ban. She emphasized the gravity of the offenses, underscoring the intrusion into the privacy of the victims and the vulnerable position they were in during the incidents. The prosecutor also noted the premeditated nature of the offenses and Shahrin’s familiarity with the NTU dormitory layout, which facilitated his unlawful acts.

Shahrin represented himself during the proceedings. In mitigation, he expressed remorse and stated that he returned to the campus merely to drink. He acknowledged the impact of his past actions, which had cost him his job and left him filled with self-directed anger and confusion. However, his intoxicated state influenced his decision-making, leading him to repeat his previous criminal trespassing acts.

The judge acknowledged that no physical harm occurred to the victims but emphasized the intrusion into their privacy and the vulnerability of young female students living in the dormitory. The judge expressed concern that Shahrin did not learn from his previous conviction and instead repeated his criminal acts. Given the persistence and audacity displayed by Shahrin during his trespassing spree, the judge decided to impose a sentence uplift from his previous conviction for the offense of criminal trespass.

DUA LIAP STREAMER KIARAAKITTY OPENS “MAID CAFE” @ BOAT QUAY, $100 FOR A HUG

0

Singapore streamer Kiaraakitty announced that she will be opening a pop-up maid cafe at Boat Quay, alongside fellow OnlyFans creator Yujia.

Kiaraakitty and Yujia’s temporary maid cafe, named Kitty Paradise, will be operating at LIT Bar Lounge Restaurant on June 24, 26, and 27, and the two girls will be donning maid costumes adorned with fluffy cat ear headbands at the cat-themed cafe, with a number of offerings on their menu.

For $100, patrons can buy a hug from the girls, although it isn’t disclosed if the hug(s) is/are for one or both girls.

A photograph with the girls will cost $30 and for $20, patrons can request to be “roasted” (insulted) by Kiaraa or for her to rap for you.

They are also offering a “dance performance” for $20 as well.

Among the food items include the “meowsta” for $21, which is a cat-themed tomato pasta with carrots and cucumbers arranged to look like a cat’s face.

They also have a vodka cocktail called “cosmokitty” for $12, as well as a non-alcoholic variation for $8, along with a $6 ice cream with whipped cream and some chocolate.

Kiaraa is also offering “Ayaya” and “Ayaya x2” services, although at the time of writing, it isn’t made known what that entails.

Previously sold her farts online

The controversial twitch streamer previously went viral for selling her farts, bathwater and used lingerie online.

She priced her farts (which are kept in jars) at $20, her bathwater at $30, while her used lingerie were charged at $270.

Despite the unorthodox items, she apparently had a high demand for the items, with online personalities such as DJ Jade Rasif and YouTuber SneakySushii buying her farts and bathwater.

Stopped by police in Korea

Singapore Twitch streamer Kiaraakitty, who previously made headlines for selling her farts in a jar to her simps, was apparently stopped by the Korean police in Seoul.

She was stopped by the police because someone had apparently reported her for wearing a revealing outfit and having her mammary glands out while streaming in the streets of Seoul.

Throughout her interaction with the police, she was seen apologising repeatedly and told them that it was her first time in Korea, even though they didn’t ask her.

Kiara was live streaming for 9 hours at the time and was walking down the streets of Seoul wearing a pink-coloured lace shirt and a short skirt, as well as a fur jacket and some bunny ears headband.

Two police officers then stopped her and spoke to her in Korean, and the confused streamer then told them that she was from Singapore.

Realising that the police officer was commenting on her attire, she told them that she was “cosplaying” and that it was for a “cosplay” party that she was heading to.

With both parties unable to understand each other because of the language barrier, an interpreter was then brought in to translate for them.

The interpreter told Kiara that she had been reported for wearing her “underwear” in public, and she asked, “Of course not, why would I wear underwear, that’s ridiculous!”

She then offered to take a photo of her outfit and show it to the interpreter, before apologising for her ignorance and thanking him for helping explain what was happening.

The police officers subsequently asked her for her identification documents before taking down her information and told her to zip up her jacket and cover herself up before leaving.

The enraged streamer was then angry that someone had complained about her attire.

S’POREAN MAN FINED & JAILED IN M’SIA FOR SMUGGLING 11 PARROTS INTO THE COUNTRY

0

A Singaporean man was fined and jailed by a Malaysian court for smuggling 11 wild parrots into Malaysia.

The Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) of Malaysia shared the details of the case in a Facebook post on June 20.

The illicit transportation of the smuggled birds was unveiled during inspections carried out at the Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine Complex (CIQ) on May 31.

Wildlife and National Parks Department officials from Johor state collaborated with immigration authorities to inspect Singapore-registered vehicles in one of the lanes at the complex following a tip off from the Customs.

On the evening of May 31, five enforcement officers were dispatched to the CIQ complex. During the search, they discovered several birds concealed in the suspect’s vehicle.

The species included 4 figbirds, 3 blue and gold macaws, 3 scarlet macaws, and 1 yellow-headed Amazon bird. According to NST, Aminuddin Jamin, the director of the department, stated that the vibrant birds were confined to small boxes with tiny holes.

Additionally, the officers found bird feed, 10 wooden boxes, a cage, and a mobile phone among the seized items. The suspect was apprehended on the spot, and the confiscated goods were taken into custody.

The case was subsequently presented before the Johor Bahru Sessions Court on June 7. The court determined that the individual in question did not possess any valid permits or documentation from Perhilitan to justify the possession of these protected wildlife species, as translated from the Facebook post by Free Malaysia Today.

Under the Wildlife Conservation (Amendment) Act 2022, the Singaporean offender was found guilty of possessing protected wildlife without the necessary permit, as outlined in Sections 60(1) and 68(1)(a).

The court imposed a fine of RM80,000 (equivalent to S$23,230) and a 7-day prison term starting from the date of arrest.

S’PORE WORKER JAILED FOR TAKING DRUGS, KEPT DRUGS INSIDE WOODLANDS MOSQUE

0

A worker responsible for maintaining the facilities at a mosque was apprehended by police officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) after they discovered drug paraphernalia and cannabis mixtures at the place of worship, according to a report by Channel NewsAsia.

The individual, named Mohammad Asyrafuddin Jupri and aged 31, admitted to consuming methamphetamine in order to enhance his energy levels for work.

On Wednesday, June 21, he was sentenced to one year in jail for drug possession and consumption, while three additional charges were taken into consideration.

According to court records, Asyrafuddin was employed at the Yushof Ishak Mosque located at 10 Woodlands Drive. Additionally, he worked part-time as a confined-area rescuer.

On October 28, 2022, CNB officers arrested him in close proximity to the mosque. Subsequently, a search was conducted on the fifth level of the mosque, where Asyrafuddin resided.

CNB officers then conducted a search of his room, as well as recovered incriminating items from the ablution room, his cubicle and locker.

The officers discovered various items, which included foil-wrapped vegetable matter, packets of crystalline substances, glass and metal drug utensils, as well as a metal can containing vegetable matter.

These items were collected as evidence and forwarded to the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) for analysis. The HSA determined that two of the exhibits contained 15.53g and 14.99g of a cannabis mixture, respectively.

Asyrafuddin confessed to possessing these items, acknowledging that they contained “ganja,” a colloquial term for a Class A controlled drug.

Following his arrest, Asyrafuddin was taken to the Central Police Divisional Headquarters for further investigations. During the process, his urine samples tested positive for methamphetamine.

Later on, Asyrafuddin admitted that he had been smoking approximately 5g of meth, referred to as “Ice” on the streets, per month. He claimed that he relied on the drug to provide him with the necessary energy for his work.

The Deputy Public Prosecutor, Chong Kee En, requested a sentence of eight months in jail for the drug possession charge and one year in jail for the drug consumption charge. He did not object to the sentences running concurrently. Chong Kee En noted that Asyrafuddin had no prior convictions.

In agreement with the prosecution, defense lawyer Riko Isaac stated that Asyrafuddin had consumed the drugs in order to work longer hours and increase his income.
