GUY LOAN FRIENDS MONEY LIKE FREE – HERE LOAN $10K, THERE LOAN $2K, BUT MONEY NEVER COME BACK

0

Will I ever see my money again?

I have a close friend whom I loaned >10k five years ago for their startup. The business is open today but apparently making very little profits. I am in no real desperate financial need as I have adequate savings, but I am just wondering about the chances I will ever be repaid.

I also loaned 2k to another friend who got scammed two years ago; they swore to pay me back but yeah, I have yet to see the money too.

Am I just a sucker for not demanding IOUs? How often do you all loan money to others? Did your friend pay you back without asking?

EDIT: Conclusion is that I am a succccccccccker.

Netizens’ comments

  1. I’m afraid not. You’re a kind person but a bona fide succccccccccker.
  2. my dad was the same way. even partially paid for his girlfriend’s HBD. lent his friends money even though he was struggling with 2 jobs.
in the end none of them were there for him when things went downhill. sure some came to the funeral but the money gone with him to the grave. generosity is overrated.
  3. Well, i am in need of few k.. how do i apply for ur friendship ?
  4. For the 10k business that’s still open till today, u probably can ask them to include u as 1 of the owners and then get probably profit sharing till u have recoup ur money. Once recoup, from there, u can either juz leave (since u got back ur 10k) or juz continue being a sleeping shareholder loh.
For the smaller 2k personal loan, I think it’s as good as gone also.
  5. Why don’t you ask them to slowly pay you back $100 – $500 every month. If they can’t even do that count it as your money is gone and they have no intention of ever returning it. Don’t be a sucker in the future.
  6. Stop lending people money. As a personal rule I am only willing to lend to immediate family and my best friend. Everyone else, no matter how close, is off the list.
  7. One rule especially when you enter working life + for me to learn also:
NEVER lend money (especially large amounts) to others.
Have heard of many cases exactly like yours where someone lent like a lot of money to their friend and their friend disappeared/ghosted them and didn’t want to return the money.
If I were in your situation, I would probably make a police report? I don’t know. What’s the best course of action for this?
Off topic: The most money I’ve lent to a friend was $1 back in primary school when they forgot to bring money for recess 😂 and when I borrowed from them, I made sure to write down what I owed and pay them back the next day.

LANDLORD’S 3 Y.O KID DREW ON TENANT’S BEDROOM WALL & THEY BLAMED HIM FOR IT

0

Sg landlord’s 3 year old daughter drew on my bedroom wall and they falsely accuse me of doing it

The apartment was full of scribbles on the wall when i moved in the common room to live with my landlords and their 3-year-old kid, so it was a norm for me to find scribbles on any wall.

6 months later, my landlords decided to repaint the walls and they warned their 3 year old daughter not to draw on the living’s room wall.

So surprising not surprising, the kid ended up to go into my room, drawing on my bedroom wall and also destroyed my stuffed toy.

I informed my landlords about the stuffed toy being destroyed (and they denied it, saying their kid is a “good and respectful kid”) but i didnt inform them about the scribbles on the freshly painted wall because again it was a norm to see scribbles on the wall and also i thought they were aware of that.

Fast forward, i moved out today and that is when the mom found out about the drawings on my wall, and she has been going after me forcing me to admit it so i could pay for the repaint.

Also she is trying to force me to admit of causing blood stains on the mattress cover (which were already there when i moved in) so i could also pay for it to be professionally cleaned out. And so far they haven’t returned my deposit. What should i do?

Also when i was oversea for 1.5 month, my landlords wanted to paint my bedroom wall. After they painted the walls they left my bedroom door unlocked and that was when the daughter sneaked in.

I was on vacation oversea for 1.5 month and my landlords wanted to paint my bedroom wall. So i let them paint the wall. And they did not lock it so then their daughter went into my room without them knowing.

18 Y.O XMM GOT FOLLOWED BY MAN ON HER WAY HOME, RUN LIKE USAIN BOLT FOR HER LIFE

0

This happened around 7pm earlier.

I (18F) was walking on the way home from a shopping centre.

It was going to turn dark + it was raining and I was tired so I wanted to get home quickly.

I noticed there was a man walking behind me and I thought nothing of it.

He continued walking behind me for a while so (me being a paranoid person) I decided to test him and sped walked. When I sped up, I could hear his footsteps speeding up behind me. I kept increasing my speed and his footsteps became quicker too. I started to panic.

I kept turning my head to the sides to watch how close he was using my peripheral vision. I had a very bad gut feeling about him.

Now, I know that people might just be walking in the same direction as me to get to their destinations and I might’ve been overthinking. However, this is the first time where someone (walking behind me) gave me a bad feeling.

Luckily, in front of me, there was this young couple (looked like they were in their late 20s). I happened to be going in the same direction as them also.

When they got further I started walking faster (I was rlly scared ATP) in order not to lose sight of them and “stay close to them” just in case the man behind me tried to harm me or wtv, and I could scream for help (and they’d hear it).

The young couple went to a different direction and I ran with full speed to my block.

When I went into the lift, I quickly pressed the lift buttons and some buttons above the floor I was staying at to be safe.

Was I being stalked or was I just overthinking?

Edit: Forgot to mention that at first, I was walking slowly, and the man didn’t overtake me. He just walked behind me.

The thing that I was worried about was that he sped up when I sped up.

I am not 100% sure if he was indeed stalking me. The only thing that points to him being a stalker is that he sped up when I sped up.

I’ve watched a stalker YouTube video before and they said in such situations, I need to test the stalker more like e.g. walking around some blocks/areas a few times to see if he follows. I didn’t manage to try that method on him as I wanted to get home quickly.

Edit no.2: I wasn’t wearing anything revealing. I was wearing an oversized t-shirt and long shorts that went right above my knees. The typical “xmm” outfit.

WOMAN GOT SCOLDED BY BF FOR BEING TOO “MASCULINE” & NOT LETTING HIM BE A MAN

0

My (31M) boyfriend says I’m (31F) too masculine and I don’t let him be a “man.”

I admit, I can have a strong personality and like “masculine” things according to him. Things like playing pool, studying engineering, and listening to comedy are some. I do like to voice my thoughts and don’t mind a debate. I’m a “modern woman”.

Anyways, he’s been ranting often about letting him “be a man” and to stop being so dominant. Small things like buying and carrying a huge bottles of drinks up to our apartment was a power move. Or doing things on my own is showing I don’t need him. It’s a bit much.

There’s something that just doesn’t let me be feminine around him because I feel like if I don’t take action, things either don’t get done or fall apart.

He’s so fixated that he wants to be a “masculine man” in the relationship yet he’s the more emotionally unstable one, can’t support me financially, and irresponsible at times.

If he wants to fulfill that “traditional male” role but doesn’t put the effort then how can I even support his ask?

Netizens’ comments

  1. He needs to see a therapist, not blame his insecurities on your hobbies, interests, and abilities. That can become, if isn’t already, straight up toxic.
  2. When tf did playing pool and listening to comedy become male only ?!
Engineering, I know a girl who studied this, only girl in the class, they were all horrible to her.
She now has a very lucrative job and flies all round the world and loves it. She says even now she finds those a-holes who don’t think she should be in her job.
  3. I feel like you’ve presented the problem perfectly. He can’t be a man if he still behaves like a little boy.
Also, welcome to the 21st century, where women have to assume “both traditional roles” because the average man is as useless in the house as a hundred years ago, and then some.
  4. The only men who say entering, playing pool, getting the water you need etc isn’t fine is men who don’t want the option it poses when women are allowed (and clearly can) do these things.
So now he is trying to guilt you into not doing these things he clearly can’t or won’t do by designating these actions as masculine and you abnormal for successfully completing them

GUY ASK CHIOBU WAITRESS FOR NUMBER, MESSAGED HER BUT SHE DON’T WANT REPLY

0

I [23M] shot my shot with a waitress [22F] and got a positive response only to get ghosted later.

Okay so, I was a restaurant eating dinner and noticed a cute waitress. I hesitated a lot at first but then walked up to her when I noticed she was free, introduced myself, and asked if I could get her number. She refused, so I apologized, and turned around to go back to my table.

But then I heard her say something but couldn’t make out what it was, so I turned back and asked her, she said “-Her instagram tag here-, this is my Instagram account.” I was surprised so I asked her “do I DM you there?” And she said yes.

We were stealing glances at each other for the rest of the time I was at the restaurant so I thought I was going good.

Later on that night I give her a follow and tried to DM her, but it turns out she doesn’t allow people she doesn’t follow to send her DMs.

So I give it time thinking she’ll just follow me back and we’ll be able to talk then. She doesn’t, and ends up uploading a new story.

I thought maybe she just didn’t recognize me. I check her story and notice I can actually reply to the story even though I can’t outright DM her so I do that introducing myself and asking her how her day went as a reply to the story.

It’s been two days and she has not replied to me.

I honestly have no idea what to make of the situation; on one hand it seemed like it was really smooth sailing and everything was going well, but then this happens.

Did I mess up somehow? Am I missing something? Should I be doing something about it?

WOMAN PAID OFF CREDIT CARD DEBT WITH “CASH STUFFING” & EVEN STARTED BUSINESS WITH IT

A TikToker from the United States, 30-year-old Jasmine Taylor, shared about her “cash stuffing” method that helped her clear her debt and even launch a business.

She said that she had gone from swiping credit cards without knowing where her money was going, to now being able to tangibly handle her money via the cash stuffing method.

Cash stuffing is the method of taking your normal budget and dividing into categories for things like money meant for groceries, bills, utilities and etcetera.

You then divide the money into different categories by putting them inside envelopes.

Essentially, you get your salary and you minus all of your expenses from it for the different categories, putting them inside the envelopes and only using it for that purpose that it’s for; for example, if the category is meant for bills, that money can only be used for bills.

Taylor said that doing so allowed her to see where she stood on her debt and evaluate her finances.

She first started doing this in January 2021 when she had more than $60,000 in student loan debt, about $10,000 in credit card debt, and another $8,000 in medical debt.

Using the “cash stuffing” method, she saw where her money was being spent and was shocked to find out that she had been impulsively spending money.

With the extra amount of money that she saved each month, it all adds up and she managed to pay off her debt.

She started sharing her budgeting advice on social media and turned it into a business, selling her “cash stuffing envelopes” (for people to stuff their money inside) and other related items online, as well as using a stimulus check to fund her business.

She said that she had paid off her credit card debt entirely in 2021 using the method, as well as about $26,000 of her student loan debt.

MAN STUCK IN TOILET FOR HOURS, TRIED TO BREAK LOCK TO GET OUT, SECURITY ASK HIM PAY FOR LOCK

A man shared on TikTok that he was locked inside a condominium toilet at Oxley Residences for about one and a half hours, resulting in him panicking inside the toilet and missing an event that he was supposed to attend.

However, that wasn’t even the end of his nightmare; he claimed that a security personnel later video called him and insisted that he had to pay for the broken lock.

TikTok user @qmaojunyong, shared the video that he took from inside the locked toilet while he was trapped inside.

The incident happened on 26 March at about 12.30pm.

He said that it was really hot and stuffy inside at the time, and he tried unsuccessfully to shout for help and his phone couldn’t get a signal.

Starting panicking after 30 minutes

The 32-year-old, who works as an events planner and part time actor, said that he wasn’t scared initially, but after trying to unlock the door for about 30 minutes with no avail, he started to panic because the toilet was very quiet and he had no reception inside.

He was seen drenched in sweat and panting heavily as he tried to break the lock using a pole and a balloon pump that he had on him at the time.

The door handle managed to come off but the lock remained jammed, still trapping him inside.

Exasperated, he said in the video that his event (that he was supposed to attend) had started 15 minutes ago and he doesn’t know how long he can last inside the toilet.

He then wrote the word “help” on a piece of tape before slipping it under the door, to get the attention of anyone who might be passing by.

He was eventually rescued and freed from the toilet, and his client was understanding of his situation.

Security wants payment for broken door

However, he later allegedly received a video call from the security of the condominium saying that he had to pay for the damaged toilet door lock.

The man then told the security that it was a life or death situation and that asking him to pay up is not the right thing to do.

He added that he doesn’t know how much he needs to pay for the lock but says he hope they will take pity on him.

Netizens’ comments

  1. Security and management might be different.. Email a complaint to the management with yr situation and claim them for not able to attend your event…
  2. Pay then sue them back for faulty facilities that cause personal distress.
  3. Wa shag. That’s not right for them to ask you pay tho. When clearly it’s due to their fault dooor
  4. The Condo Mgmt should takes responsibility and don’t get this innocent chap to pay. He already suffered enough in the toilet. The lock contractor..
  5. sue the condo management for stress & unable to perform at the event….
@qmaojunyong

I was locked in toilet for 1 and half hr!!! Management still ask me to pay for the broken lock :((

PSYCHO 7-YEAR-OLD XMM THROWS 4-YEAR-OLD BOY DOWN A 5-METRE-DEEP WELL

A video emerged online showing a 7-year-old girl in China picking up a 4-year-old boy and throwing him down a well that was 5 meters deep.

What’s disturbing is that the little girl showed no sense of remorse for her actions or sympathy for the boy that she threw into the well.

Thankfully the boy was later rescued from the well by other villagers and suffered no injuries except for a bout of flu.

The Straits Times reported that the incident took place in a village in the Songming county in Yunnan, China, on 4 March at about 4 pm.

The incident was caught on one of the CCTV surveillance cameras that were installed all over the village.

The girl was seen in the video trying to lure the younger boy towards the well, guiding him towards it before picking him up and throwing him down the hole.

The bot then held on to the sides of the well in a bid to stop himself from falling down, trying to hold on for his dear life as he cried for someone to help him.

However, the girl then went and peeled his fingers of the edges of the well to make him fall down the hole entirely.

The boy continued crying for help from inside the bottom of the well but the girl remained unmoved and unbothered, standing beside the well for a while before leaving the area like a villain.

The boy was eventually rescued after a number of villagers heard him crying for help, and save for a few minor scrapes, bruises and a cold, he didn’t suffer any major injuries.

The well that he fad fallen into was reportedly 5 metres deep, with the water inside about 2 metres deep – the boy had fallen about 2.65 metres before hitting the water.

The girl’s family reportedly agreed to compensate some money to the boy’s money and gave then some food as well to apologise.

EX-WIFE SUPER DUPER ELEPHANT, GODZILLA, GORILLA GLUE, THATS WHY MAN DIVORCE

0

When I met my ex-wife, it was love at first sight. She was the most beautiful and unique girl I’d ever seen. We married shortly after and spent the first few years of our marriage blissfully in love.

But after a while, something changed. My ex-wife started to stick to me like a super duper elephant, Godzilla, gorilla glue. Everywhere I went, she followed. I couldn’t do anything without her being right by my side.

It started to become suffocating. I felt like I was being suffocated by her love, and I began to dread spending time with her. I tried talking to her about it, but she didn’t seem to understand what I was saying. I even asked her to give me some space, but she refused.

The situation became so unbearable that I eventually decided to file for divorce. I knew it was the only way I would be able to get some breathing room.

My ex-wife was devastated by my decision. She refused to accept that it was over and kept trying to convince me to stay. But I knew I had made the right decision and I wasn’t going to back down.

The divorce process was long and painful, but eventually, we were able to move on with our lives. I was relieved to finally be free of her suffocating love, but I also felt a twinge of sadness for the loss of what could have been.

My ex-wife still tries to keep in touch with me, but I politely decline. I know that if I continue to interact with her, she’ll just start to cling to me again.

I understand her pain, but I also know that I need to keep my distance in order to protect myself. I don’t want to be suffocated by her love again.

Divorce isn’t an easy decision, but sometimes it’s the only way to escape a suffocating love. I’ve learned that it’s important to draw boundaries and respect each other’s space. That way, both parties can move on with their lives and find happiness.

MAN LAZY TO BUY A SHAVER USE A LIGHTER TO BURN HIS KU KU BIRD HAIR, INSTANT REGRET

0

It was one of those days when I just felt too lazy to do anything.

I was sitting in my room with my laptop and scrolling through the internet. All of a sudden, I suddenly remember I got a date later that night and I wanted to clear my hair downstairs.

I thought to myself that I should buy a shaver but then I remembered how expensive they are and I just couldn’t bring myself to buy one plus I’m super lazy.

So, I started to brainstorm and I came up with a brilliant idea. I decided to use a lighter to burn my kkb hair. In my head, it sounded like the perfect solution. It would be free, it would be fast, and it would be painless. Or so I thought.

I got a small mirror and a lighter and I started to burn my hair. I was so excited that I was actually doing something to make myself look better. However, I didn’t think about the consequences. It felt like my pubic area was on fire and it took me several minutes for the pain to subside.

When I looked in the mirror, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I had burned off some of my pubic hair, but I had also burned off some of the skin around it.

I was horrified. I had never expected this to happen.

I quickly ran to the bathroom and started to clean the area with cold water. I was in so much pain that I wanted to scream. I applied some ointment to soothe the burn, but it didn’t help much.

I spent the next few days in agony. I couldn’t move my legs or sit down without feeling intense pain. I had to take a lot of medication to relieve the pain, but I was still in agony.

and of course the date was cancelled, also too embaress to see a doctor.

I have learned my lesson the hard way. I should have just gone out and bought a shaver or some other kind of hair removal device. Even though it would have cost money, it would have been a lot less painful than the burning sensation that I had to endure.

I regret not buying a shaver that day and will never forget the pain I felt when I tried to burn my pubic hair. It is a lesson that I will never forget, and I hope that my story will help others make the right decision when it comes to hair removal.
