I had been working for my employer for almost five years now and I had seen some changes in the attitudes of younger people.

It seemed like they were a lot less willing to put in the effort and give things a real fight than my generation did.

I had grown up with the idea that hard work and dedication would be rewarded, but it seemed like the younger generation was not willing to put in the same level of effort.

My employer had noticed this trend as well and expressed his opinion that young people nowaday give up without giving a real fight.

He believed that the younger generation was too entitled and not willing to put in the hard work that it takes to achieve success.

It was a topic of conversation that we had a few times and I could sense his anger and frustration at the lack of dedication and commitment that he saw in the workplace.

I had to admit that my employer had a point. I had seen younger employees come in and expect to be handed success without putting in the effort.

I had seen some people give up after only a few weeks or months of work because they weren’t getting the results they wanted.

It was disheartening to see, but it was a reality that I had to face.

Tried to motivate the younger generation but failed

I decided to take it upon myself to try and change this trend. I started talking to the younger employees and letting them know that hard work and dedication were essential for success.

I also tried to be a good role model and show them that it was possible to achieve success through hard work and perseverance.

Unfortunately, my efforts seemed to be in vain. Despite my attempts to inspire and motivate the younger generation, they still seemed to give up without putting in a real fight.

I could not understand why they were so unwilling to put in the effort and work hard. I felt like I was doing all I could to show them what it takes to be successful, but it seemed like my words were falling on deaf ears.

Eventually, I had to face the fact that my employer was right. Young people nowadays give up without giving a real fight and it is a sad reality that I have to accept.

I still hope that one day I can help to change this trend and inspire the younger generation to have a better work ethic, but for now, it seems like an uphill battle.

I had been working hard at the office to get a promotion and I was finally getting it.

All my colleagues were invited to the company function and I wanted to make sure they all saw how successful I was.

My plan was to make sure all eyes were on me and what better way to do that than having my girlfriend wear a revealing dress?

I convinced my girlfriend to wear a very revealing dress to the company function. It was a tight, low-cut dress that showed off her curves and I knew it would turn heads.

I was so sure it would be just the attention I needed to make me the center of attention.

Little did I know that my plan would backfire. As soon as we arrived at the event, people started talking about us. Not in a good way either.

They were talking about how my girlfriend was dressed and how inappropriate it was. I felt embarrassed and angry at the same time.

The girl of my dreams had finally arrived. She had been a long time coming, and I was excited to finally have her in my life.

The CEO sighed and looked away for a moment before turning back to me.

“It’s about your relationship with a colleague of yours. We do not tolerate relationships in the office, I can’t have this kind of situation in the office.”

I was shocked. I had no idea that the CEO was aware of my feelings for the woman in question. I had been careful to keep it on the down low, not wanting to cause any trouble.

But now the CEO was telling me that I had to go because of it. I felt a wave of anger wash over me.

“What about her?” I asked. “She’s the one that started this. Why isn’t she being punished?”

The CEO shook his head.

“Thank you for your service goodbye”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I had been with the company for years and had never caused any issues. Yet here I was, being fired because of a petty rivalry over a woman I barely knew.

The office staff often gossips that the CEO was a dirty old man that also like the same girl I like.

It was unfair and it made me even angrier. But I knew there was nothing I could do. I had been dismissed from the company and there was nothing I could do to change that.

I packed up my things and left the building, feeling defeated and betrayed. I had put so much effort into my job and had been dedicated to the company. But it seemed that none of that mattered in the end.
