WOMAN HAVE 3 KIDS WITH HER HUSBAND AND TURNED OUT HE IS HER HALF-BROTHER

0

I’m F31 and I accidentally got involved with my blood relative. I have 3 triplets.

David and I have always had an active S life and he’s met all my family. We have been dating for around 3 1/2 years now and everyone loves him.

My Mom and Dad adore him, and always insist I bring him over with me when I come around. I love David, truly. David and I decided to have lunch out with the family while the kids were at school.

Everyone kept joking around saying how I and David looked so alike and how we should do a DNA Test. I agreed because it sounded fun, the thought of David being blood related to me wasn’t even close in my head.

But, who doesn’t want to take a DNA Test at least once in their lifetime? Time skip to when we are getting our results for our DNA Test. We are shocked to find out we are blood-related. I am baffled. I didn’t know what to do and neither did David.

The first thing I think of is how our kids are now inbred. Inbred children often have health issues and most of the time don’t even live past 50. I am disgusted with myself, knowing that I have doomed my kids for a bad life.

But I’m also thinking of how this is still the love of my life. David is my one and only soulmate. I love that man with all my heart. I contact my mom only an hour after we got the results asking her what she knew about a possible brother I had.

She said that before I was born, she was only 16 and gave a baby up for adoption since, at the time, it was extremely hard to get an abortion. I asked her why she didn’t tell me, why didn’t she actually bring up an issue when I and David looked so alike. He is my half-brother.

She responded by telling me that she believed there was no possible way that David could actually be blood-related since David’s adoptive mother didn’t even live nearby. I am shocked as SINGAPORE IS SO SMALL and doesn’t know what to do.

I will not be breaking up with David. My parents have cut off all contact with me because of this. Telling me that it was disgusting that I’m staying with him. But I don’t know what to tell them. I love David with everything I have.

You guys need to understand that these scenarios happen to people. Although it’s extremely unlikely, pretty much anything you can think of that’s possible has or will happen. I know this is a hard story to take in but instead of shitting on me, please give me advice for this situation. I wouldn’t bait about something as serious or as weird as incest with the father of my children. Please stop assuming the worst about me.

WOMAN CHEATED RMB1.15 MILLION BY PRC BF, CAUSE SHE THINKS IT’S TRUE LOVE

0

There is a saying that “a person in love sometimes don’t know have IQ anymore”. When falling into a sweet love, some men or women will become more naive and always think about giving everything to each other.

Sometimes one would be in a situation of not having enough money to lend and going as far as taking a loan, Only to realise later that you have been deceived and both the person you love and money is gone.

Boss BF

In China, Hubei, there was a woman who fell in love with a “big boss”, but the other party frequently asked her to borrow him money. When she ran out of money to, her boyfriend will often be hard to contact, leaving her only with debts.

Ms. Peng from Fancheng, Xiangyang, Hubei, made friends through the Internet in July this year. She met a big boss who claimed to be an engineer and had cooperative relations with many well-known companies.

The two started chatting on the Internet and later confirmed their relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend. After several months, her boyfriend asked her to borrow money time and time again, and she lent all of her savings to him.

The reason for borrowing money is also very simple. Either there is a problem with the project contract, or the worker has an accident, etc. After lending out all her savings, her boyfriend even encouraged her to borrow money from money lenders or bank loans.

Every time her boyfriend asked where to borrow money, Ms. Peng will submit loan applications, and going as far as asking for money from her relatives and friends. In a span of two months, Ms. Peng lent 1.15 million yuan (About S$231,000)

She had fantasized about marrying her boyfriend in the future, but after she owed more and eventually ended heavily in debt.

Ms. Peng eventually asked her boyfriend to repay some of the money. But her boyfriend went missing on her.

Delusion

At this time, she still had hope, thinking that her boyfriend was encountering some difficulties, and wanted to find her boyfriend through various channels, but she couldn’t find her for a month, and the pressure of repayment on the loan was particularly high.

She eventually contacted the Police.

After checking the chat records of the two parties, the police came to the conclusion that it may be a case of fraud. After several days of investigation, they found the man and took him back to the police station for interrogation.

At the police station, the man also explained his crime. It turned out that he was not a big boss, but an unemployed vagabond. At first, he wanted to borrow some money to invest online, but he lost all of it.

MAN INVESTS $1,000 IN TOTO, BUT IT DID NOT END WELL FOR HIM

0

A man decided that investing $1000 in TOTO was a quick way to get rich. This is a typical investment story and reading the story will make your blood boil.

Here is the story:

I know a lot of people say buying TOTO or 4D is a waste of money, but I believe with probability I will win it.

By investing in $1,000 worth of quick pick, I am using my spare cash to invest. I am not using money that is of livelihood to invest…

I know many people might say that this is not even an investment and a complete waste of money, but I decided to share my results anyway.

$1000 investment

-$700 worth of system 7
-$280 worth of system 8
-$20 worth of 1 dollar quick pick

Winnings

-system 7 winnings = $120
-system 8 winnings = $190
-1 dollar quick pick = $0

The results

Total amount invested $1,000
Total amount won $310

Total amount loss = $690

This is purely an experiment and I was very sure that I could not recuperate the $1,000 investment.

Here are what netizens think:

  • knn if this is call investment then like that you MBS faster lah.
  • The rates of winning are quite low, lucky u got about 40% back loh, most of the time you gonna get back less than 10%.
  • Aiya, this kind of thing buy $1 can already, if will win then will win one. Buy so much increase your chance by how much only 0.0000001% ah.

MOTHER HAVE THOUGHTS OF NOT WANTING HER CHILD, AS SON IS SPOILED BY FATHER

0

Hi, any parents out here who constantly have the thoughts of not wanting your child anymore?

I have a wilful child spoilt by his Dad where I’m the discipline mistress at home.

It’s very hard to get my child to do anything since young. Hard to wake in the morning despite sleeping 8+pm, at latest 9 pm and waking up 8 am like want his life. Then struggle to brush his teeth. Take ages to eat every meal.

Cannot sit still for anything. Takes forever to get to the bathroom for shower and always giving excuses like want more food/drink before bath even though said full just after dinner etc.

It’s taking a toll in my mental health bcoz we’ve been to OT with the husband, and we’re told our child is behaving this way bcoz my husband always gives him leeway in everything and has no discipline. Thus, our child pushes limits and do not listen. We stopped therapy after a while as the husband promised he will change for the better. But old ways don’t change really. He’s back at himself and giving in every single time. I’ve been reminded, scolded and even got angered by him many times.

I’m feeling so sick of taking care of LO. I even wanted to ask the husband to bring LO to the pils to take care and leave me alone. My child mutters hurtful words like I no longer love you or I don’t want you, go away etc. And it upsets me even though he’s just a toddler and I understand he may not mean it but I don’t know why and how he learned things like this to say to me.

I quit my job to take care of him since he’s a baby bcoz he’s really not easy to take care of and no one in the family is willing or able to help.

With no help over the past few years, no income and no pocket money from my husband. My account is bleeding dry fr my fixed expenses like insurance, food, transport etc.

I’m stressed out about financials and asked my husband if he’s able to cover my insurance but he’s unable to. I feel like giving up my insurance plan so that I can save that few hundred dollars monthly but I still worry the unknown what if etc. He even encouraged to let go of I’m unable to service it.

I feel like I’ve even giving up hope on my husband. I feel like letting go of everything to live a life of my own. Sometimes I even think that death could be the end of it. I don’t know why I’m so negative thinking. But I can’t help it everytime I get frustrated by LO. Everything triggers my negative thinking. I drag to pick my LO fr school cos it’s the start of another terrible moment each time. I feel like a horrible mum but I’m suffering silently cos there’s no one I could really divulge or want to speak to. Is there any free anonymous counsellor I can speak to?

MAN RECEIVES OUT-OF-THE-BLUE JOB OFFER TO DO ONLINE TASKS UP TO $360 A DAY

Two netizens were recently contacted out of the blue and they were told of a lucrative job offer.

While some netizens are wary and immediately block such solicitation others felt prey due to greed.

Man who did not get scammed

I didn’t get scammed but wanna share my story as it was something similar to what was shared here.

Man who got scammed and his bank accounts frozen

Got a WhatsApp message asking me if I was interested in looking for a job. When i told them I’ve already found a job, they ask if i want to do it part time and earn some easy cash. Then they started asking you to download discord & tiktok to help their merchant push follow & like.

It seemed to be real and I did it for awhile. Then they started posting a new pre-paid task where someone will guide you what to do. They say that we get pick how much to transfer them as the merchant will hype up the cryptocurrency market say their merchant already make payment to them and it’s guarantee to get your money back. In short, you transfer like 50+ and earn 70+ once its completed. The more you transfer, the higher the return.

When i follow they advise to transfer through PayNow/banking, I received a message from dbs that transfer was rejected. Then they tried providing another paynow account and i still couldn’t transfer. The staff then gave me some reason why I couldn’t transfer and ask me download another apps but i find it suspicious even if the apps appear in goggle Playstore. I didn’t download though and the next moment, before I knew it, my bank account got frozen and I needed to head down to the branches to unlock my account.

FLASH FLOODS WARNING AS WATER LEVELS SURGE @ ULU PANDAN CANAL, PCN CLOSED

0

National water agency, the Public Utilities Board (PUB) issued flash flood warnings earlier today (18 September) at 9.07am, for the Ulu Pandan Park Connector area.

A section of the Ulu Pandan PCN was then closed off, after the water levels in the canal surged and almost reach the level of the park connector.

PUB issued a flood risk warning at 9.07am, saying that water levels at the Ulu Pandan Sunset Walk area had rose to more than 90%, warning that a flood risk was very likely.

They then updated their warning a minute later and said that the water levels at the area had risen to 100%. before issuing a series of flood risk warnings for the area.

A video emerged online showing several officers donning helmets, who appear to be from PUB, walking along the flooded park connector.

It is also worth noting that earlier this month (2 September), there was a landslide that caused damage to the Ulu Pandan PCN near Clementi Avenue 6, damaging a portion of the footpath.

MAN CAN’T SET UP ONLINE KEPPEL ELECTRIC ACCOUNT, STAFF TELLS HIM TO GO ONLINE TO SET UP

0

Facebook user Alex Long shared how he was having difficulties setting up an online account with Keppel Electric for his new address after moving to a new flat.

He said that he then took time off from work to head down to their office to seek help to open a new account, and the staff then asked him to go home after photocopying his bill.

He then received a call from the staff two days later asking him to go online to sign up for the new account (which he was having problems with in the first place that’s why he went down to their office).

He said that he was seeking help to open a new account to no avail, and the staff then told him to try again, which he did and still wasn’t successful.

Here is what he said

Keppel electric is a case in point who does not practise good customer service.

I share my bad experience with them. I had an on going contract with since staying in my previous flat. I had to terminate my old account and set up a new account to my present new flat.

Their web site is so user unfriendly that I was unsuccessful after repeated attempts to open a a new account to my new address.

I am left with no choice but to take time off from my job to visit the office at Symbiosis to seek help to open my new account.

To my dismay after some checking here and there she photocopy my bill and asked me to go home. Two days later a staff called me up and asked me to go online and sigh up.

I told her I was seeking help to open a new account but was successful. She insist that I tried again online to open a new account.

Being positive I tried again but was unsuccessful again after repeated attempts. There is a minority of us who are not tech savvy so we are handicapped by your standard procedure. At least twig a bit and empathize us.

In this scenario I should be allow to terminate my contract.

IMDA RESPONDS TO TOC RELOCATING TO TAIWAN – “POFMA WILL STILL APPLY”

0

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) responded after owner of The Online Citizen, Terry Xu, said that he was going to relocate his website operations to Taiwan.

IMDA said that TOC’s class license was cancelled because it had repeatedly refused to comply with requirements to declare their funding sources, as well their foreign funding.

They said that they are aware of the new foreign0based website and its social media accounts, and added that the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act (POFMA) and the Foreign Interference Countermeasures Act (FICA) will continue to apply to the website.

TOC responds to IMDA responding to TOC

What Terry Xu previously said

Dear supporters, past, present and future, we are back.

While operations of The Online Citizen Asia (TOC) were shut down by Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) last year on 16 Sept, the ruling of the Singapore courts has made clear that we are not prohibited from operating from outside of Singapore.

Furthermore, both the operation of the website along with its social media platforms have been transferred to a new company that is registered in Taiwan while the old Singapore entity is in the midst of closure.

We are pleased to be back and look forward to serving you as an independent media platform once more.

There will however be some changes. There will not be any daily news reportage from TOC as the site will now focus on providing commentaries and analysis on current affairs in the Asian region.

I am currently overseas and will be relocating to Taiwan to start up a news media outlet which will provide daily news coverage in Asia.

More will be announced in due course and we look forward to serving you again very soon!

Rgds,
Terry Xu

RICH FAMILY’S SON WHO WORKED CASUAL LABOR JOBS FOR FUN: “BE KIND TO SERVICE STAFF”

0

Thank you for the kind words friends. I decided to summarise my answers to most questions for ease of reading.

A bit more about me: I am in my mid thirties and have been living a very sheltered and privileged life all my life. Studying in Melbourne was not exactly rough but casual racism was(still is I think) pretty common and that was the extent of any struggles I faced.

My family runs a big logistics company and we have a few warehouses/logistic centres around the island. I was an MD and mainly dealt with our partners in South East Asia. Yes I am very aware of nepotism and how fortunate I am to be in this position and I do not mean to patronise the ‘every day folks’ or validate myself – I simply wanted to break out of my bubble to really think about myself as a person.

How have I grown and what did I learn from this experience? Prior to this, my interaction with my staff has been limited to middle management and basing off their judgement and reports. I never once critically thought about what is truly the most important resource of any business. The truth is, nothing is above the people. Manpower is the single most important factor and a multi-faceted view is essential. It is during my stint I realise the issues that the employees face many issues and have valuable inputs that are not heard.

Middle management pushes for deadlines to be met but they seem to forget the people on the ground have their concerns too. Meeting deadlines end up in an overall lowered effeciency as a company can be much better if the employees are looked after and treated with importance – their welfare and feedback. I am moving towards providing the employees on the ground with much better benefits such as catered food(most have to rush through their food breaks due to distance/high cost of food nearby) and revamp the dining area in the canteen to have a more conducive and enjoyable environment for the staff to dine leisurely.

Other issues faced by the staff include more time off for family matters(ground staff are penalised heavily for taking time off – loss of income/incentives if they wish to stay home). I am looking to implement a better system where staff do not need to choose between sacrificing time for family matters and incentives.

Moreover, a proper feedback system is necessary. The middle management does not know what is the optimal solution on the ground and only the people there understand this. There is too much red tape where time and effort is wasted – people feel good about themselves when equipped with authority to solve problems. Middle management will also be retrained to adopt this mentality of valuing the feedback of the ground staff.

> How did I get so many jobs in such a short period? What about training?

I left after two weeks at most as I wanted to have the most varied experience possible. This was mentioned to the hirer/supervisor prior and it was accepted. I did bar hand for a long period of time though, albeit once or twice a week. I exclusively scoured for freelance/non-commital roles. Training is basically an hour to half a day at most – pretty self-explanatory. These are casual jobs with no commitments. I too was taken aback in the beginning but it seems there is an industry where casual labourers are sought after as a replacement or just to fill in the gaps.

> Which bars did I work at and favourite/least favourite drinks?

I prefer not to name them but I worked at two popular bars at Keong Saik Road and Tanjong Pagar Road.

Pre COVID, I would visit similar establishments occasionally with my friends and I did not give much thoughts to what happens behind. Loads of arses visit these places; the need to be seen as an alpha/ultra cool guy is pretty heavy here.

Favourite drinks to mix/assist: Gin & Tonic and Old Fashioned for it’s simplicity when it gets busy. When I have the luxury of time – learning how to make bespoke Mai Tais and unique dessert based cocktails.

Dislike making Pina Coladas/Mojitos during peak hours and really dislike making any kind of martinis when a douche tries to pull off a Bond move in front of his date – it happens more often than you think.

> How do I know if the older men are married?

I am copying an answer someone else posted but my experience is more or less the same. “Can answer for him since I moonlighted as a car valet jockey before in the past.

Wedding ring on finger. These guys don’t even bother concealing that fact when they are messing about with other women.

A lot of these women are picked up with the guys from KTV lounges. Very obvious that they work there, very obvious they are doing “takeaway” on the side for cash. You do get the rare times when you pick up a car with the guy and girl in question from some upscale place like Marquee or MBS or as normal as HaiDiLao at 4am from Marina Square in their Rolls Royce, or when the girl is local; then it becomes more of a question of “is she a sugar baby or is she legit?”.”

> Are your parents going to agree with this? Did you even consult with any of your employees to see whether they would prefer catered food? you’re basically telling them what they can eat. Many people have limits on what they can eat because they have allergies or religious or personal preferences. If you’re worried about the cost of food you can increase their salaries by how much you’re going to pay for the catered food anyway. So you think *not* meeting deadlines will somehow result in increased efficiency? How many watches and accessories do you have, and how much did they cost?

My parents(my father actually) is receptive to the changes but my siblings are showing some resistance. I am currently working on a strategy to turn my ideas into fruition.

This is just a rough idea – actual work will include talking and taking feedback from the ground staff to get a proper rotating menu that would feasibly satisfy all(or most) of their needs.

Meeting deadlines with rushed/slipshod quality is not effective in my opinion. By being aware of actual problems and keeping the staff motivated would lead to long-term problem solving(higher efficiency) at the cost of short-term effeciency of missing deadlines for shipments.

I did not think too much into this previously but I have been spending close to $40000 a month on meals/clothes/accessories/frivolous expenses for the past eight years or so.

Ultimately, the main take away from this experience is the value of money and dignity. I used to spend thousands of dollars a week on pretentious food at pretentious restaurants without even considering once about the staff. I am unable to stomach paying $500 for lunch now – thinking about how many days it would take for the server to work to afford a meal he or she is serving. Opulence…disgusts me. That kind of unnecessary spending can be used to much better use. Funding the studies of children of employees, animal shelters, and starting up social enterprises to reach out to the folks who truly need help. One of the best meals I have ever had in my life is eating a packet of economic rice in the back of the delivery lorry together with my colleagues while the driver was rushing down the PIE to reach the next destination in time. The camaraderie formed with my colleagues was so strong that I cannot think of a better dining experience.

Society is only as strong as it’s weakest link – I cannot imagine living so large while people are out there struggling to put food on the table for their families. Worrying about the future for the children, can they afford to pay for a new textbook or excursion that their children might ask.

I have met many folks in my employment – many are ex-convicts who are struggling to find a job. Some are less hardworking(only want to work two to three days a week) but many more are decent folks who just want to have an honest life with an honest living without fear and worries.

I will be realigning my company’s direction of looking after our employees – ALL our employees. Not just a token gesture but actual decisions that will be of use. A motivated workforce is unbeatable and I would like to make use of my privilege to aid society.

On to the more niche questions: I scoured the internet and found the most effective manner to find casual and immediate jobs was on FaceBook groups. There a multitude groups out there with plenty of opportunities daily. On average, they pay about $10-15/hour depending on the nature of the job. I was working 10 hours a day on average and sometimes more if I wanted to take on an extra job at night bartending. There is no CPF contribution so it is quite normal to make about $500 a week working 6 days a week. Whatever I found interesting I joined and just picked up – metalworks was simply using a power saw to cut metal pipes and salvaging valuable parts inside. Fishmongering training was simply learning to identify, cut, descale the different types of fish. The manual labour nature of the jobs was tough initially but I look after myself physically all my life so it did not take me long to adapt to the laboriousness.

One thing I really hope everyone can do is just to extend our graciousness and kindness to any service staff. It takes nothing to smile to a flyer distributor or being extra patient with your waiter. The question on if one should take a similar path as me – it is very subjective and I cannot answer this. All I can say is to wake up tomorrow and think of how you can make it a better place to live in for your fellow men. Putting a smile on others face is priceless, you will find unimaginable joy.
