Neighbour removed locked bicycle from common bicycle stand to park his own bicycle

He lifted the locked bicycle from the bicycle parking slot — lock intact — and chucked it to the side. He then parked his own bicycle into the now empty slot and locked it there.

Tried having an open conversation with him but he tried to gaslight me and added that “it’s where his bicycle has always been parked”

He did it again. What can I do?

Goodness. I am so frustrated. I’ve been applying and interviewing for different jobs internally and externally. Most recently I applied for a job through my current employer 2 months ago.

Had my final interview over a month ago. Just received an offer this morning. Honestly, I’m having so much anxiety and have shed some tears. Basically, my first interview was with the recruiter and I told her my salary requirements. So when she called me back with the offer it was $14k less than what we discussed.

Additionally, the bonus structure was up to 15%. They are restructuring their bonuses which are now set to a max of a certain dollar amount which is significantly less than the original 15%.

I am feeling absolutely lowballed.

The recruiter told me to think about it and let her know by tomorrow as the backup candidate has a pending offer. I’m not feeling good at all. I had to wait over a month for an offer and they give me a day to think about it just in case I decline and so they can make the offer to the backup??

I emailed her after thinking about it for a couple of hours and restated my salary requirements but haven’t heard back. Not sure what I’m looking to get out of this and I’m rambling. I guess I’m in shock I was blindsided by a crap offer.

Later on, I attempted to negotiate and they weren’t willing to budge. I declined the offer. This was something that was supposed to be exciting but instead, I felt horrible about it.

The recruiter said the employer is known for destroying people who reject job offers and said they will put out my name in the market as a very negative person.

My elderly divorced aunt is having an affair with a married man.

Since my aunt (late 60s) divorced her husband 20 years ago, she has been having affairs with married men of similar age. All her past and current boyfriends share similarities like poor health, being financially stingy, low income, or retirement.

After her previous married boyfriend died from a heart attack, she found a new one quickly. As for the new bf, he is retired and has a wife and will come over to sleep at my aunt’s house some days each week.

The problem with this old man is that every time we go for dinner and family outings, my parents will have to pay for him and my aunt. He never once offered to pay for the meal, and when he previously visited my house during Chinese New Year, he would disrespect my family by smoking in the house. I told him before not to smoke, but in the subsequent year, he would secretly smoke on my balcony and throw the cigarette butt out the window without considering my neighbours’ safety. I shouted at him to stop smoking at my house, and since then, he gave me an attitude for half a year; until last week, he spoke to me nicely.

My mother will have a large-scale birthday party soon, and I know he will tag along with my aunt for the free food and free flow of alcohol at my family’s expense. Hence, I want to take this opportunity to settle this nonsense by expressing my true feelings to him and telling him to stay away from my family (aunt not included).

• Pls talk to your aunt instead of confronting her bf directly at the party which could cause a scene and get ppl upset/ embarrassed. That would be the respectful way of handling things.

• Don’t invite her and the bf at all. Since the bday celebration is being hosted by u, u have all the rights to invite and not invite who to come. U can also reinforce to your other family member not to inform this aunt as well.

• I think ur aunt just want a companion partner but it comes with baggage (sick, bad habit etc). All of us has this baggage now or when we get older. I feel u should just leave your aunt alone unless she was abused by him. Let her enjoy her life.

Useless brother

I have the most useless brother. He is 33 yrs old and couldnt find a job since he graduated from uni. Since we are not on talking terms since i was 17/18, he persuaded through my mom to ask me to get him a job in the reputable company that i am in as an HR.

I refused as I feel he doesn’t even have the balls to ask me then why should i put my reputation on the line for him. He was asked to go after 2/3 mths in his first job because apparently, he didn’t perform well. My mom said he had to do many OT during that time and he was very reluctant to do OT.

He complains that the office is far away in AMK. At that time, I was already close to working for 4 years in AMK area in a different company.

After he is unemployed, for the first few mths, he watched k dramas all day and lay in bed all day. He didn’t help with chores and expected my mom to clean his room. It was only when my dad decided to teach him handyman skills and gave him the headstart to form a client base that he finally has some form of income to this day.

Whenever he is angry, he will scold my mom and slam the door in her face.

He will sometimes poke or hit her on her head, thinking is funny. If he is angry with me, he will be passive-aggressive and destroys my personal stuff. We ignore each other like ghosts in the house. Even at family or formal events, whenever people ask about us, he doesn’t acknowledge me and avoids answering any questions that relate to me. I noticed it and react the same.

I feel no love and vowed not to have anything to do with him if anything happens. Recently been looking to do up my own will, I want to make sure that none of my money and assets will go to him in any way. He doesn’t exist.
