WOMAN CAN’T FIND BF: “MEN IN S’PORE ARE DISAPPOINTING, EXHAUSTING”

0

A woman in her 30s said that she is single and financially secure but she is unable to find a boyfriend because Singaporean men are “disappointing”.

Here is the story:

“I wonder if my fellow single female Singaporeans feel the same way.

I’m mid 30s(female), have a stable job, financially secure and literate. Okay looking (men have told me I’m good looking or cute).

But the dating selection of men in Singapore…are well. Disappointing. Been on dating apps, trying to find a partner but its been exhausting.

Most men either don’t know what they want, emotionally unavailable or immature, not financially stable, or I’m just not attracted to them (my physical looks bar set very low already).

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions where to find good normal men?”

Editor’s note: There are so many happy couples in Singapore, have you ever considered that maybe YOU are the problem?

MAN’S “ONS” WITH A GIRL HE MET ONLINE BECAME A RELATIONSHIP

0

So I(m23) met this girl(f19) online for the sole purpose of hooking up no strings attached. I went over to her house a day after we met online to do the deed.

When I met her I remembering thinking damn this girl is hot. We had a cigarette naked on the bed before the deed and we chatted. We ended up cuddling and talking for like 2 hours before she fell asleep in my arms. I slept too and i woke up at 6am to her begging me to do the deed with her. So we did it at 6am and we continued cuddling. I remembered her showing me that she sent her friend a text saying Omg he’s so hot.

At one point she was touching my face and saying I had nice features. So much for no strings attached, there’s a whole ass rope tied up right now. But not gonna lie I enjoyed the night a lot and we are planning to meet up again in a few days.

Is it wrong for me to develop a no strings attached into a relationship?

Here are what netizens think:

  • My current relationship of 4 years started very similarly. Was supposed to be a hookup but now we can’t imagine life without each other. Good luck!! Hope this turns out as wonderfully for you as it did for me
  • Many relationships start from hookups. My first relationship (first S) was a hookup and it was good, we started dating.2nd relationship started with a bad hookup (performance from my side) but we were talking comfortably before and after sex, we decide to hang out again and eventually started dating.
  • My (now) wife of 12 years started as a rebound hookup after my (then) girlfriend of 7 years cheated on me and we broke up. Sometimes you catch feelings. Roll with it.
  • Why is it somehow negative to catch feelings anyway? All my “hookup” friends were the most clingy people, desperate for validation and fear of rejection. It’s almost expected to be a hookup before considering a relationship. Maybe stop putting labels on things and just vibe with each other.

GUY DUMPED GIRL ON 1ST DATE – PROFILE PIC LOOK DIFFERENT FROM REAL LIFE

0

A girl shared how she met a guy on a dating app and after they went on a date, he then blocked her because he found her “short, ugly, fat and disgusting”.

Here is the story:

“I matched with a guy on Coffee Meets Bagel and I am wondering if he is even interested in me or is just meeting me to satisfy his loneliness. I made the initiative to match with him and say hi to him, and we exchanged our contacts on telegram.

We have loads of fun chatting with each other and I made the initiative of asking him out to watch a movie and had dinner together, and we met up for the first time yesterday and I could somehow sense that he was disappointed that I wasn’t up to his expectations?

I have posted unedited photos of myself and didn’t lie about my height, and from photos, I think that he should know that I am definitely not someone who is tall, skinny nor looked like an influencer type, so I was disappointed when I happened to peep at his phone during our dinner, and he was texting to his friend that he wanted to leave the dinner with me as he was disappointed at me being short, ugly, fat and disgusting.

I pretended that nothing had happened and we chatted like close friends as we got to knew each other more. I told myself that maybe he is just joking only and would delete the message after that.

The day after the date, he had blocked me on telegram, and he left me with a message which stated that he had enjoyed the movie and dinner, but he was upset at himself for being so judgmental as he could not stand being with someone who is like a dinobu, and he admitted that he was being polite throughout the dinner and just treated me as a friend, and just leave me hanging like that. I was so angry and shocked at his reaction that I spent the rest of the day in my room, trying not to cry but I just can’t believe that a decent man like him could treat woman like trash.

I am now having doubts if I could get serious and decent men on dating apps, and looking back, maybe I should called him out directly on the dinner itself if he truly feel that I am short, ugly, fat and disgusting instead of texting to his friend and wanted ‘help’ to escape from me.”

Editor’s note: You deserve much better than him, there are better guys out there.

Here are what netizens think:

  • The poster is kind enough to remind his own country ppl to be mindful of their behaviour n actions when overseas. We must know that every country has their black sheep..we ourselves are no exception.
  • See those area mainly hang out by whom? Theirs’ mindset and mentality, give you the answer. You go to the toilet, even worst. Worst than any 3rd world country, I would say. Wondering where is our law enforcement people. Getting from bad to worst
  • NEA should just deploy all its officers there , waste taxpayers money and do nothing on Sunday
  • He complaining about his own kind hahahhaa
  • He is telling their own ppl behave themselves when overseas don’t anyhow throw rubbish
  • I don’t believe “we” were the ones we do this. “We” have been educated for years to keep our land clean. “Them” who came over and destroy our history with their “bad” attitude and damage our reputation for so long. Shame on them and pls don’t try to make “us” look bad at our own land
  • All those people entering sg to work should go thru like a informative training programme to adapt and learn about the culture here and most importantly how to keep the public places clean

HUSBAND DON’T WANT “GIVE” WIFE GO OUTSIDE FIND OTHER HOTDOG

0

A woman created a post online and wanted her moral compass checked by netizens, she said that her husband is not giving her any “exercise” and she has been seeking it from elsewhere.

She then seeks the advise of netizens only to get blasted by a hail of negative comments.

Here is the story:

Is having a FWB wrong?

My husband and I do not have S. I have a friend with benefit (FWB) and my husband doesn’t know. Is that wrong?

I’ve approached my husband countless times to have S or make out, but he doesn’t seem interested. When I ask him if anything is wrong with our marriage, his reply is always the same – that we are doing ok, but that we are too busy and tired to have time for intimacy.

As for the FWB; he is also married and we both have no intention of divorcing our spouse.

Is S outside of this marriage wrong?

Here are what netizens think:

  • If you think…FWB is not wrong to fulfill your needs, you can honestly tell your husband, isn’t it?If anything has to be kept secret or done in hidden, then it might not be right. Your consciousness knows it well but your heart tries to deny it.Please talk seriously with your husband that you still need intimacy with him. Tell him, making love is important to you. If he is unable bec of physical problem, then consult doctors. If it is bec of busy schedule, it is an excuse to me. You hv to work it out. Take care
  • My husband says, “must as well divorce, and you can do whatever you want, stay together with your spouse for what?”For me, so long you are using your needs with the other person, be it your husband unable to fulfill, that is cheating! Why not you ask yourself, is that wrong when your husband does the same like you, and was it wrong? You and your that FWB both are joker. Do not stay and remain marry if can’t understand the meaning stay Faithful and loyal.
  • I felt it’s not that u dunno if it is wrong , you are just trying to find people to approve of your doing .
  • Your partner deserves to know the truth. Have a talk. Unless your partner is ok with open relationship. I don’t think it’s correct to be fking around behind his back.
  • Don’t ask your husband if anything is wrong. TELL your husband something IS wrong with your marriage because of what you need and he isn’t giving you. Does he have a medical issue, is he not interested coz he has someone else, is he really THAT tired, does he not love you anymore? There must be a reason and you need to dig until you find out. If he doesn’t want to communicate then you have to make a choice on whether this is how you want to keep going or maybe end the relationship. Cheating never ends well and how would you feel if the roles are reverse …would you tell your husband it’s ok to cheat on you if you no longer want to have sex with him? Think of the other wife.

GUY WANTS GF TO PAY FOR DATES – “I SPENT SO MUCH ON YOU, WHY CAN’T YOU TREAT ME”

0

Hello I (25f) need some advice here. I’ve been with my current boyfriend(22m) for about a year now. At the start of the relationship, he would shower me with gifts all the time with lots of sweet talking. I’m not a person who prefers a younger male as a partner, in fact it just never crossed my mind in the past that I would ever date a younger guy. But he was different, he seemed so mature and compromising at that point of time, I felt like a princess with him. But everything went down after the honeymoon period.

At that point we’ve actually moved out to stay together. We started arguing over the smallest things every other day and it mostly starts from him shouting and scolding me when something I do doesn’t please his liking.

Many of his and my friends have all pointed out that the way he speaks to me is rather rude and that’s just not how you should be with your girlfriend. I agreed, but I was okay with it as that was just the way he spoke to everyone around tbh.

But the arguments only got worst, with me bursting into tears in the process of it. I was never an emotional person in the past, neither did I used to cry this often.

I realized that as time has gone by, I’ve started being more and more submissive towards him and getting more and more emotional each time.

My friends had suggested that maybe moving in together so early into the relationship wasn’t a good idea, and so I suggested that I’ll move back to my family home and we can meet 3-4 times a week. But of course he didn’t allow it.

The relationship has started to pull my self esteem down, I no longer feel pretty infront of him, instead I feel like I’m a daughter controlled by an abusive father and he no longer treats me like a princess like before.

Going out was no longer fun as many times he has suggested to go dutch or let me treat him instead. When I voiced out my disapprove, he would get upset and say something along the lines of ‘ I’ve spent so much on you in the past, so why can’t you just treat me once?’

Recently the scoldings and shouting has gotten worst as well, he’s even starting to throw stuff around the room during our arguments and it’s really taking a toll on my mental health. I’m feeling more and more depressed each day. I’ve already suggested breaking up a few times, but he wouldn’t let me leave. And it always ends with him begging me to stay and telling me he would change and to forgive him. I gave him a ‘ last’ chance everytime but the change never happened.

I really love him and don’t wanna leave him either, I thought threatening him with breakup would help him make up his mind. But it’s already been almost a year, it’s our 11th month next week…. Still no change….

I want to think that maybe it’s because he’s still rather young and needs time to grow before he becomes more gentlemen-like but at the same time, what if he doesn’t change even after 2-3 years? I wouldn’t want to waste the rest of my youth grooming him just for it to fail and end in a break up.

Please give me some advices how I can salvage this relationship.
