SCAMMER INSULTS MAN’S FAMILY AFTER HE FAILED TO GET MONEY

A man received an unknown Whatsapp message from +44 (UK) on his phone and claimed that he has met the man some time ago in Singapore.

The message started out stating that they were acquainted 3 years ago at Marina Bay Park.

The man who receives the message was confused as he did not know when did an incident occurred and asked further.

The man soon realised that it was a scam and asked how many guys have been victims of the scam and what he received was insulted from the other party and even called him retarded.

COZY LEPAK CORNER AT MULTI-STOREY CARPARK BEHIND MOTORCYCLE LOTS

A cozy relaxation “lepak” corner was set up at a multi storey carpark for motorists to chill and relax.

There are even sofas and shelves for riders to sit down and “lepak” after parking their bikes.

The lepak corner was seen at Block 292 Punggol Central Deck 1A.

THAILAND INFECTION RATES SURGE SEVERAL FOLDS SINCE JAN, POSSIBILITY OF LOCKDOWN

Back in June, the Prime Minister of Thailand Prayuth Chan-Ocha announced that Thailand will be fully open in 120 days for tourism. Almost a month has passed since the announcement and the situation in Thailand has not improved much since then.

Thailand’s 7 day average of people found infect with Covid-19 has risen sharply since early this year.

According to JHU CSSE Covid-19 data, In Jan the 7 day average of infected cases were approximately between 200-943, the latest updated statistics of 7-day average infection rates has increased to 5,734 on July 6.

A shortage of beds for patients is also a big issue in Thailand. Earlier today Bangkok Post reported that a 50-year-old woman who resides in Bangkok, Huai Kwang district died in her home while waiting for an available hospital bed for over a week.

A possible Thailand Lockdown

According to the National Security Council secretary-general Natthapol Nakpanich a lockdown might be happening in Thailand soon as the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) worries a possibility that daily infection rates might hit 10,000.

However, it is not officially proposed to the Thailand government yet.

Gen Natthapol Nakpanich, head of the CCSA’s operation centre will assess the situation for the next 15 days.

KINDHEARTED FOODPANDA RIDER SHARES HIS LUNCH WITH STRAY CAT

A heartwarming photo emerged online, making waves across social media.

A Foodpanda delivery rider was seen sitting down on what appears to be a bucket while having his lunch inside a lunchbox.

He then shared his food with a stray cat who came to his feet, feeding the little critter.

God bless this compassionate young man.

YP THROW NEWSPAPERS ON ROAD FOR CLEANERS TO PICK UP IN HEAVY TRAFFIC

A netizen shared how a YP littered by throwing newspapers on the road.

The cleaners then had to go onto the road to clean up after him, with there being heavy traffic at the time.

The incident happened near MacPherson LRT station earlier today at around 7.50am.

“I was on my way to school tdy & the dude in the jersey threw a stack of news paper next to the road and it flew every where and in the first pic u can see two cleaners going on the road jus to pick them up.

I’d like to address this as the cleaner went onto heavy traffic jus to pick up paper after paper I really salute the cleaner for picking them up and keeping our nation as clean as possible.

This was near MacPherson let station was take around 7:50. I took it when I was in bus 76, I jus feel that we need to speak up for the cleaners.”

E-SCOOTER RIDER JAILED AFTER CRASHING INTO WOMAN @ SENGKANG FOOTPATH

According to a court session, a Grab Food delivery rider was sentenced(July 5) to 7 weeks in prison and fined SGD$500 after colliding with a pedestrian on a footpath at Sengkang.

The female victim who works as a hairdresser suffered numerous injuries including a fractured pelvis & elbow, this has affected the woman’s livelihood as her job requires her to stand for lengthy periods of time.

38-year-old Samuel Lim Yong Choon admitted to the charges for causing grievous hurt by a rash act endangering personal safety and riding his E-scooter footpath.

How it happened

On 29 April 2020, Lim was speeding down the footpath of Rivervale Drive on his E-scooter at approximately 1.50 PM.

The victim was walking down the stairs from Kangkar LRT station to a walkway. Lim who was speeding saw the victim but did not slow down as at that moment he believed that he could maneuver his way through by speeding up like a MotoGP racer. He collided with the woman and the impact caused her to fall to the ground.

The victim who was weeping demanded Lim for his NRIC but he refused and tried to escape. A member of the public who witnessed the accident stopped Lim and he finally surrenders his NRIC.

Lim and a member of the public took the victim to a nearby clinic which cost SGD$50 and Lim foot the bill, she was later sent to the hospital the seriousness of her injuries which incurred a hospital bill of over SGD$930 and Lim has since repaid for it.

YP CYCLIST JAYWALKING, KENA BANG BY CAR AND FLY AWAY

A video emerged online showing a YP cycling across the road while the red light was still on.

A car was then seen making a turn and hit the cyclist, who was jaywalking (or “jay-cycling”).

The accident happened at the junction of Sembawang Road and Mandai Avenue on 5 July at around 10.47pm.

MAN SHOUTING & FILMING BUS CAPTAIN, WHO RADIOED POLICE FOR HELP

A netizen shared an incident that occurred yesterday on board Bus 14 at Buona Vista MRT.

A passenger was seen shouting and arguing with a bus driver over something (yet to be ascertained).

The man was seen filming the driver while continuing to abuse him.

The whole bus ride had to be stopped while the bus driver radioed the police for help and reported the man.

Shared by a follower : Incident occured on Bus 14 at Buona Vista MRT Station at around 9:20 on 07/07/2021. The man was yelling and arguing with the bus driver and pulled out his phone to record the bus driver. The bus driver radio-ed the police and reported him. While reporting him, the man continued to verbally abuse the bus driver. The bus driver drove the bus to the front of the bus stop and stopped the service. While getting other passengers to leave, the man ran off the bus but the bus driver did not pursue him. The bus driver restarted the service as the incident was already captured on the onboard cctvs and a report has been made.”

GUY TAKE CHOPPER FIGHT WITH BEETLE, USE LIGHTER TO BURN THE INSECT

A video emerged online showing a guy holding onto a chopper chasing after what appears to be a beetle.

He was seen using a pencil sharpener to smash it as well.

He then used a windproof lighter to burn the beetle to death.

MOTORCYCLIST KENA TACKLED OFF BIKE AFTER TRYING TO RIDE AWAY FROM FIGHT

A confrontation happened between a motorcyclist and a man at Sengkang Community Centre.

The motorcyclist then tried to ride away but he was tackled and dragged off his bike before being pinned down.

It is unclear what they were fighting about prior to the altercation.

The incident happened at Sengkang Community Centre on 7 July at around 1130am.
