A girl shared online how she was in the MRT with her sister when a man sat down beside her and stared “intensely” at her legs (she was wearing a skirt), before starting to rub himself really close to his groin.
The girl then looked at the man’s reflection to see what he looked like, and the man noticed and immediately took out his phone and pretended to use it.

“Took the train yest (DTL) with my sis at arnd 10+PM and we sat in the middle part of the whole row of seats. Along the way this guy came in and sat 1 seat away from me at the handicapped seat. I was wearing a skirt and he sat down and immediately stared at my legs like super intensely. I felt super uncomfortable. I pretended that I didn’t notice but he started rubbing his thighs(?) or like rly close to his groin area.
I was looking from the corner of my eye while holding my phone and I looked up at the reflection to see what he looked like. He noticed and he got a shock and immediately took out his phone, started pretending to use it and he turned on the volume for some video to pretend and act like he didn’t do anything. The other guy (in white) on the same row sat beside my sis, sat at the handicapped seat also.
We noticed that he turned his entire body to face us and he held his phone up towards us. I wasn’t sure if he was taking pics or vids of us but we felt even more uncomfortable esp since the guy beside me was so pervy alrz. We moved to the next carriage after wards away from them.
Just wanted to let pplz know to watch out for such ppl and be aware of their surroundings, esp when they’re outside or in public transport!!.
(The guy in red was the one looking at my legs and the guy in white was the one that turned to face us and held his phone in our direction. I was vvvv sure the guy in red was being pervy but I’m not entirely sure if the guy in white had any ill intentions coz when we got up to move away I looked at his phone and he was looking at some article(?) or smth)”
A Foodpanda customer shared ordered “quite a few bottle drinks and was seemingly scolded by the foodpanda rider.
The rider asked:
“Big order?”
“Need to order so much?”
“So you think a bike can carry so much also?”
“2 riders sending, I pity the cyclists.”
The netizen said:
“I was ordering quite a few bottle drink to restock but this rider is just being rude.

A video emerged online showing a Safe Distancing Ambassador (SDA) displaying remarkable abilities of multi-tasking.
He was seen taking orders at a restaurant counter in his uniform to complement his duties of managing crowds and making sure they’re practicing safe distancing.
I mean, times are bad right? Gotta make that bread.
A local Singaporean shared his story of how he managed to slim down after taking a liquid diet. But warns others although it works it might not be the best for the body.
Here is the article:
There are many reasons why one would want to slim down most often for looks and the least important reason is normally health. I did an experiment try a beer-only diet which helped me slim down 6kg after doing a beer diet for a month with no exercise.
Here is my routine, wakes up and drink as much water as I can and followed by a multi-vitamin supplement. At lunch, I have 1 – 2 beers and I continue doing my work from home. During dinner time I have an average of 6-8 beers before going to sleep. Anytime during the day go ahead and drink as much water.
Although, people always talk about “beer belly” there is a misconception, it is often caused by eating after having a drink and not just limited to beer (any alcohol).
A question I got from a friend was: “Which beer did you take?”
My answer: “any beer that is on promotion, I don’t really have a preference”
Other benefits, my skin cleared up. I used to have dry and flaky skin but now my skin became better.
Another warning, I have very good alcohol tolerance therefore I did not get drunk and I was able to continue working. Another factor to take note of is if you have liver issues or other health concerns that do not recommend drinking alcohol do not try this diet.

An Indian girl shared that she was racially harassed by an uncle on the bus, who pulled his mask down and wasn’t wearing it properly.
The uncle thought she was Malay and made discriminatory remarks about her not covering up (she’s actually Indian).
He also thought she was Malaysian and insulted her nationality (she’s actually Singaporean).
You can read her full post below:
“Hi, I experienced racial discrimination on the bus yesterday… this is the first time anything like this has happened to me before and I just want to spread awareness.
Please note : The last picture in this video is the picture that made the man angry. He was sitting across from me and he kept looking at me which I don’t know why but then he came to sit behind me and that was when he saw that I took the picture of the building.
His mask was pulled down and he begin to talk on the phone really loudly and apparently he was really pissed at the fact that I was taking pictures, which FYI it was just that one photo I took and I still remember the exact words he was saying (towards the end of the video you could actually hear him say “mind your own business lah…. don’t offend people why want to take photos of this kind of thing”)
I wish I had taken a video of what he said before I alighted but these were some of it:
“I don’t understand why must take photos it’s so stupid and on top of that it’s a f**king women you know”.
“All these Malaysians come to singapore think they so big but who TF do they think they are” (FYI I’ve been living in singapore my WHOLE life and so did generations and generations of my family).
“At the end of the day, they are all just slaves working under us”.
“Especially all this Malay girls ah don’t know how to cover up properly don’t know how to go around with respect” (FYI I’m actually Indian so I don’t know why he’s assuming things).
The part that really me mad was that not only was he being discriminatory but he was also being a sexist by saying “woman you know” “what’s worse is that it’s a woman” as if being a women means I can’t take photos?
Instead of telling me he goes on to talk really loud on the phone and I did want to say something in the heat of the moment but I knew it would just escalate things further and I did not want to give him the satisfaction that I knew he was talking about me.
Luckily, my stop was next so I bit my tongue and got of the bus but what was even more childish was that when the bus was leaving he straight up pointed the middle finger towards me.
All my years of living in Singapore I have never once felt like an outsider nor have I been racially discriminated this badly (other than of course a few name calling in primary school which I could take) but I’ve always had many Chinese and Malay friends who made me feel part of their family and I was so thankful to be part of this community.
After that incident yesterday, the rest of the 1hr journey back home in train was just filled with tears as I have never felt so alone or vulnerable in the place that I grew up in. As a 17 year old who just wanted to sit in a bus and just simply enjoy, I don’t know what made me a grown man’s target for him to think that he could just destroy someone like that.”
A video emerged online showing an uncle refusing to wear his mask properly and insulting the other passengers on board the MRT when they asked him to do so.
The entire incident was captured by a netizen named Sakura, who described the details of the incident.
She said:
“June 15, 2021 (Tuesday) – Around 7:53 pm, on the East West Line (EW) MRT heading to the west, a man did not wear his mask properly, and also insulted passengers who reminded him to wear mask.
Tuesday night, on the EW line mrt to the west, starting from Commonwealth/Buona Vista station, I noticed a man wearing a grey shirt and black trousers talked loudly in the train (Door14). He did not wear his mask over his nose and mouth at all times, it covered only his chin. He mocked passengers around as ”Phubber” (Phone + snubber = Phubber) and judged them, loudly. Although there were some passengers reminded him to put on the mask, he turned a deaf ear and still went his own way. I have reached my tolerance limit, so started recording his evil deed from Dover station, which happened to record him humiliating other passengers.
From the 1-minute video, a male passenger reminded him to put on the mask in English, and he responded in Chinese, “What did you say?” After the male passenger kept silent due to the language barrier, he told him “Chinese should speak Mandarin” in a contemptuous tone, and then lowered the mask that he had not worn properly, let him to look at his face, and asked him provocatively whether he is a policeman or police dog. In the end, he even threatened him “want fight?”. The man was obviously making use of the male passenger’s weakness in Chinese to insult him.
The man left Clementi station at about 7:54pm. I complained to the female staff outside Door14 of the incident at about 7.55pm. The female staff said that the man goes in and out of Clementi station every day without wearing mask properly. I also asked her for a proper complaint channel, and decided to report the arrogant man, and will never tolerate the act of humiliating others.”
