CYCLISTS RIDING ON THE ROAD, THEN LOSE CONTROL & CRASHED

A video emerged online showing a group of cyclists riding on the road, before one of them lost control and crashed.

They were seen reasonably spread out safely at the start of the video, before somehow slowly clustering together in the middle.

One of the cyclists in the middle then lost control after colliding with the bicycle on the right, and hit the cyclist on the left.

The latter then started swerving and ultimately crashed onto the road in a heap, with his bicycle seen spinning like a Beyblade in the air.

The stricken cyclist’s companions then continued riding off happily into the sunset as they left their injured compatriot behind, slowly being forgotten by time.

MAN INTENDS TO CUT TIES WITH OLDER BRO AS HE MARRIED HIS EX GF

0

I told my brother that if he proposed to my ex-girlfriend, I wouldn’t show up to the wedding or speak to him ever again?

My older brother is in a serious relationship with a woman who I dated. They have been together for three years. Prior to that she and I had dated for 5 years.

We were poly school sweethearts, and I was deeply in love with her. She dumped me seemingly out of nowhere and about 3 weeks later they went on their “first” date, she was in a relationship with my older brother. I have no proof of overlap. I have no proof that she was talking to him at the same time as she was dating me. Honestly, I didn’t want to look for the proof as I didn’t want to damage our relationship over a girl however, I think it’s pretty obvious. This feeling has been in my mind for years and part of me resents them for it. I also feel kind of betrayed that my older brother would shack up with a girl who dumped me while I was still trying to get over her.

This week, my brother announced that he was going to propose to her. Everyone in my family was happy for him except me. I couldn’t be. He is marrying someone who I saw myself marrying for years because he picked her up while I wasn’t looking. I tried to hide it but I couldn’t suppress it anymore. After I got the news, I called my brother and gave it to him straight. I told him that I couldn’t be happy for him and that I couldn’t let this be a part of my life anymore. I told him that if he proposes to her I won’t be at his wedding because I will no longer consider him my brother. He will be a stranger to me.

He was upset. He told me that I need to get over the past and that if she wanted to be with me, she wouldn’t have left me for him in the first place. He said that I was being immature and making his proposal and his relationship all about me. I felt like I was being pretty generous with this.

All of my family is mad at me and is on his side. They all think I’m jealous and just looking to start a fight over this girl. I don’t want to cause drama, if he wants to propose that’s his decision and I will make mine.

DOG TRAINER LEFT DOGS IN CAR BOOT TO USE SOCIAL MEDIA, DOGS DIED

30-year-old Sabrina Sim Xin Huey, a dog trainer, was fined $8,000 on 1 June after leaving two dogs under her care in her car boot and going home, causing their deaths.

She had pleaded guilty on 5 May to a charge under the Animals and Birds Act.

Sim was distracted by a social media post and left the two dogs in the boot of her car and went home, only realizing what she had done about 1.5 hours later.

She then ran to her car and found the two French bulldogs unresponsive, and took them to a vet nearby, but they were already dead.

She was fined for the offence on one of the dogs, failing to take reasonable steps to make sure it was not confined in a manner that subjected it to unnecessary pain and suffering, with another charge involving the other dog being considered during her sentencing.

Sim was also disqualified from carrying out any animal-related business and from being in charge of animals while working with any animal-related businesses for 6 months.

What happened?

The owner of the deceased dogs hired Sim sometime in January 2020, who was a dog trainer for about 6 years then.

They hired her to engage their dog, Chocoby for 10 sessions, and when their other dog Hunniby arrived in Singapore, she hired Sim to train it as well.

The training would incorporate boarding and training services where the dogs stayed with Sim for the entirety of the training.

On 25 August 2020, Sim placed both of the dogs in her hatchback’s open boot area and drove them to an undisclosed location for training, with began at 12.30 pm to 1.45 pm.

She then placed both dogs in her car boot with the air con on and drove home.

She reached home at about 2.30 pm and parked her car in a spot at an open carpark without shelter, with the windows wound up and the engine and aircon all switched off.

She was distracted by a social media post about a former customer’s dog being bitten by another dog and forgot to remove the dogs from the car.

The closed the car door and went up to her home, with both dogs still in the car boot.

At about 4 pm, she realised that she had left the dogs in her car and immediately ran to her car to get the dogs, who were at this point unresponsive.

She then took them to a nearby vet where they were already dead by then, and tissue samples from Chocoby were then sent for a post mortem.

The post mortem report stated that the dog was in a stressful state before its death, as indicated by an increased red blood cell count.

The cause of death was diagnosed as heat stress in the medical summary.

MAN SAYS “NO NEED TO WORRY CHICKEN BAN, GOT GEYLANG FRESH CHICKEN”

The news of the chicken ban has been a hot topic among Singaporeans with some worried that they won’t get the chance to eat Chicken Rice while some clear the stocks in supermarkets.

The Singapore authorities have assured that there is an ample amount of chicken in Singapore as live chickens that are imported into Singapore are not the main source of chicken.

There is no need for panic buying. (Not to mention xia suay).

Farmers in Malaysia have been rushing to send orders to Singapore before the ban starts.

Local factories are also processing as many Chickens as they can to ensure ample supply.

Joke

A man’s joke on Facebook went viral after he made a comment about the impending chicken ban.

In his post, he posted a photo of a woman in the background with an icon of a chicken in the centre of the photo.

Other than this post, there have been multiple listings on Carousells which are listing chicken dishes or products at ridiculous prices

The post was captioned with:

“NO NEED TO WORRY CHICKEN BAN, GOT GEYLANG FRESH CHICKEN”

Here are what netizens think:

  • This is definitely going to lead to an immediate supply crunch… because for sure people will start the panic buying already.
  • doubt so… chicken, particularly fresh chicken, cant be kept for long anyway. so whats the point in panic buying
  • then why not just buy frozen chicken, Singapore doesn’t really get frozen chicken from malaysia anyway so it doesn’t matter
  • Perhaps chicken rice hawkers would have to switch to using frozen chicken? Taste would be different but I guess it’s better than raising prices even more.

FORMER DELIVERY DRIVER CAUSED DEATH OF 55 Y.O MAN, JAILED 6 WEEKS

24-year-old Muhammad Adham Ishak, a former delivery driver, was jailed for 6 weeks and disqualified from driving all classes of vehicles for 8 years yesterday (1 June).

He pleaded guilty to one charge of driving without due care and attention under the Road Traffic Act.

He had caused the death of a 55-year-old cyclist by colliding with him in 2020, and the latter succumbed to his injuries at NUH 2 days later.

He is currently out on bail and will start serving his sentence next week.

What happened?

On 18 February 2020 at about 7pm, Adham, who was one week into his job as a delivery driver, had completed a delivery at 531 Jurong West Avenue 1 and was headed to his next delivery location.

He was exiting the car park at Block 537 and was making a right turn onto Jurong West Avenue 1, heading towards Corporation Road.

His van moved into a yellow box in front of the car park exit at the same time as the victim, who was a delivery rider riding his PAB on the 2nd lane of Jurong West Avenue 1, heading towards Jurong East Avenue 1.

The deceased’s wife said that she believes her husband was either going to buy dinner for their son or on his way home at the time of the accident.

Adham then collided with the victim, who fell onto the road from the pavement.

Adham alighted from his van to check on the victim, but he was not responsive, albeit still breathing.

He then reversed his van from the main road after a passer-by told him that his van was blocking traffic on the road.

The victim was then conveyed to NUH and found to be in a comatose state when he was admitted, and underwent emergency surgery to remove a piece of his skull because of a head injury.

He later died 2 days after the accident.

MAN BREAKS UP WITH GF AFTER FINDING OUT SHE IS A ‘LOOSE’ PUB GIRL

A man recently shared his sad story online after breaking up with his girlfriend over her job role and description.

He described her as working in a brothel or KTV.

Here is the story:

You guys will be surprised by the number of poly and uni girls moonlighting as sugar babes, freelancers and “models”.

I recently had a girlfriend that lasted only for a month, we knew each other since poly days and we were close.

I just finished my national service and she was almost finishing her university. (The world is not fair). Ok besides the point.

So I was going out with her for a meal and she wanted to eat at this fine-dining Italian restaurant, me as a fresh ORD army boy I could not afford it. I told her to eat something cheaper and she insist that she wants to eat at the restaurant and she will pay for it.

I was like ok fine, I’m not someone that cares so much about pride cause pride can’t really fill my stomach.

So after the meal, She wanted to go to a pub on club street and I went along. While drinking, I asked her how she could afford such an extravagant meal while studying at university.

I knew that her family was a mediocre family that would most likely not able to afford the school fees and needed a study loan.

She said that she was doing some part-time jobs. I was thinking about what kind of part-time job could allow her to pay almost $400 for one meal and not to mention the beers at the bar were going to cost her another $100.

With taxis and miscellaneous stuff, she would spend almost $600 in a single day.

I probe her more and she finally revealed that she was working in a pub. I asked if she is a waitress and she answered “kind of”.

I finally got her to reveal the location of the pub. A week went by and I decided to call a few of my army friends to go down to the pub.

When I reached the pub I saw her holding hands with a customer and acting in a way that reminds me of brothels in old school Chinese movies.

I will not describe it further, just imagine as dirty as loose you can and it won’t be over. Yes as I said like a brothel or lup sup KTV.

She saw me and she was stunned and I left immediately with my army friends in tears. We went to another pub in the area and I drowned my sorrows with beer and told her it’s over the next day.

Although she seek forgiveness from me, this is something I cannot accept.

$18.16M WORTH OF DRUGS SEIZED IN 2021, 25 DRUG SYNDICATES BUSTED

The Central Narcotics Bureau said in a statement on Facebook yesterday that 25 drug syndicates were busted in 2021, with about $18.16 million worth of drugs being seized in the process.

Here is what they said

𝗖𝗡𝗕’𝘀 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: 𝟮𝟱 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 $𝟭𝟴.𝟭𝟲 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭

In 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic continued to pose challenges to CNB’s ops and strategies.

Despite these challenges, CNB dismantled 25 drug syndicates and made significant seizures amounting to an estimated market value of around $18.16 million in 2021.

We’ve also started using portable drug screening test kits, rolled out our Mobile Diary and piloted the Community Supervision programme, while keeping our Preventive Drug Education efforts up. We’ll be pushing the implementation of these on the ground while continuing to transform our operations in order to better carry out our mission.

Globally, the push for more liberal and “drug-tolerant” policies continues, but we remain committed to our fight for a drug-free Singapore.

We look forward to your continued support!

GUY REFUSES TO ACCEPT ADVICE FROM GF, BUT ACCEPTS SAME ADVICE FROM OTHERS

0

My s/o doesn’t accept advice from ME but will accept the same advice from anyone else. Why?

My s/o absolutely hates when I’m right and very rarely will admit it. I am wrong at times and will admit I am wrong when it’s deemed necessary.

Whenever I give him advice on something, he hates it and goes into a rage.

One time I gave him advice and he didn’t like it but a couple days later, his grandparent gave him the exact same advice and he took it and even admitted how right they were.

This is an ongoing thing. A homeless man can run up to him and tell him something I told him and he will accept the advice wholeheartedly but if I do it, it’s wrong, it’s an issue, I’m the problem etc.

Why is this? On a psychological level, why is it when a partner gives them constructive criticism, advice etc. it’s absolutely out the window?
