DESPERATE GUY ALWAYS BORROWS FRIEND’S DESIGNER ITEMS TO LOOK RICH

0

Am I wrong for distancing myself from my friend?

I can’t stand how he is so desperate to look rich. He always asks to borrow my designer items to appear like he has more than he actually does.

Few months ago, I sold him my LV bag (brand new without box). Now he is asking me to call the LV store to give him the empty box. Ship it to him. An empty LV box. Isn’t it so embarrassing?

He likes to borrow my Rolex and posts photos of himself wearing them like it’s his. Even like to take photo with my car keys.

It’s not that he don’t have. But he wants to act like he has so many. And use mine to do these embarrassing things.

Sometimes I will make excuses not to borrow him my things. But he will say “why not? You’re not using it that day.” Or if not next day, or next day or next day until he can use it. So desperate.

It’s his right to be like this but I don’t want to associate with this type of people because it is so low class to me and embarrassing. I don’t want to call LV to ask for an empty box.

I don’t want to tell him he’s embarrassing and has no class. I don’t want to hurt his feelings unnecessarily. But how do I cut him out of my life?

STALL OWNER ALLEGEDLY FOUGHT WITH CUSTOMER OVER $2 WORTH OF COINS

A stall owner at a coffeeshop allegedly threw a cup at a customer near People’s Park Centre on 28 May, according to Shin Min Daily News.

A passerby, Mr Chua, spoke to SMDn saying that the incident took place at about 1.10pm.

According to Chua, a mother-of-two was with her children buying two drinks and paying for it with a $10 note, and got her change of $2 in a bunch of 10 cent and 20 cent coins.

The woman started arguing with the stall owner because she believed that she saw that they had $2 notes.

Chua pointed out that the mother didn’t have a bad attitude, but the female stall owner then got fiercer and louder.

He added that after that, he saw a scratch mark on the mother’s neck, with a plastic cup on the ground, and he thinks that it was thrown at her by someone.

The male stall owner was also allegedly hitting a kitchen knife on the counter in an attempt to intimidate the mother-of-two.

The woman’s daughter then started crying because she was scared and Chua then called the police, fearing things would get out of hand.

Six police officers then arrived at the scene.

The police confirmed with SMDN that a 37-year-old woman was conveyed to the hospital conscious and that a 23-year-old man is assisting with investigations.

SG CAR NEVER PAY PETROL IN JB, LOCALS TRACK THE VEHICLE IN SG

A driver drove a Singapore-registered car and left without paying after refilling the petrol station. After the incident was exposed, it was discovered that the driver had returned to Singapore. Netizens bluntly said: “The exchange rate of 3.2 times is still so stingy. !”

It is understood that the gas station in Bukit Indah Gardens posted a notice in the gas station afterward, calling on the owner of the Kia sedan who had added “Paking Oil” to return the payment.

The male netizen shared the above announcement on Facebook yesterday, and pointed out that the cashier asked to upload it to Facebook.

Later, some people said that the car was found in the parking space downstairs of a HDB flat in Singapore, so it is believed that the driver has returned to Singapore.

After the incident was exposed, the public responded enthusiastically, and even netizens complained. The driver of the car has returned to Singapore, and netizens called it “disgrace”, “stingy”, “joke”, etc. Some netizens also pointed out that the exchange rate of 1 Singapore dollar is now It was about 3 ringgits and 20 cents, but it was unreasonable to choose not to pay, and urged the driver to pay as soon as possible to avoid himself and the cashier getting into trouble.

However, some netizens also raised questions, believing that the gas station should let the driver pay the mortgage, such as a credit card, RM100, etc., before allowing the customer to refuel, and then return the balance or credit card afterward.

GIRL GOES MIA AND DISAPPEARS WHENEVER SHE’S FEELING DOWN

0

My bestie girl friend often goes ‘MIA’ whenever she feels down. What should I do?

We knew each other for 10 over years since pri sch. Grew up & experience life tgt. Can talk about anything and everything. My comfort zone and a really good friend. We’re the low-key kind of friendship-knowing that even if we don’t see each other for months or years we’ll always be in each other’s heart.

The only thing I dislike about her is that she’s an over thinker and tends to be abit more negative. She gets emo and affected easily. Hence, sometimes hanging out with her tends to affect me as well due to the ‘negative vibes’ around her.

Also, She oftens ‘MIA’ on WhatsApp/ IG etc whenever she feels down or a need to ‘take a break’ to be alone & won’t reply to anyone’s messages.

As a good friend, I try to stand in her position and do know that it’s just her healing & coping mechanism. It’s a way for her to heal herself. However I just dislike the ‘MIA’ part as I can’t be always the one waiting for her to be back in the friendship and MIA whenever she feels like.

I cherish our friendship but it’s hard for me to understand her actions & it’s affecting me. But I don’t think it’s good to tell her this because everyone deals with things differently.

I really love her as my bestie. Even though she tries to fix her mentality issues to be more positive there’s still a ‘negative’ aura around her (idk how to explain) and I rlly dislike the negative aura around her as I do get affected as well.

Do y’all have any good friend that are like this? What should I do? Should I continue this friendship?

FRENCH POLICE USED TEAR GAS ON LIVERPOOL FANS @ CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL

0

The Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid saw chaos outside the stadium that eventually delayed the kick-off time for the game.

Dozens of people were arrested, with the French police utilizing tear gas and pepper sprays on fans who were trying to get into the stadium.

The French authorities blamed the situation on a problem with fake tickets, but Liverpool said that their fans who held genuine tickets were not allowed access into the stadium.

Liverpool footballer Andy Robertson also spoke to reporters about the situation after being told that the chaos was marked by alleged problems with fake tickets.

He said that many of the footballers’ families who attended were affected and told that they had fake tickets, but the tickets were given to them by the players through the club, as many questioned the seemingly absured explanation given by the french authorities and UEFA.

The French interior ministry said that 68 people have been detained, of which 39 were arrested and remanded, facing possible charges.

MAN PREPARES STEAK & EGGS FOR DOGS, PREPARES FROZEN PIZZA FOR GF

0

What I going to say screams entitlement but let me explain.

I started casually dating a guy 2 1/2 months ago. We have gone on several dates; such as movies or dinner at restaurants and the arcade and sometimes going to the beach.

It’s been a really pleasant time and I don’t want you guys to think I don’t appreciate this guy, because I do, but this really rubbed me the wrong way. As for who has been paying for the dates- we usually split 50/50. He has paid for me once and I have paid for him twice but the rest is split.

So he knows that I have a Gastro-reflux disease (severe acid reflux that I’m on medications for) I can’t eat anything that has red sauces, bbq sauce or artificial dyes such as red or blue. Yes, the medications help but only if I’m sticking to a pretty clean diet. I can’t even eat hamburgers because of the red dye they use. When I eat the things mentioned above, I feel like I’m having a heart attack. As I said, he knows ALL of this. We have talked about it several times.

So he invites me over to his place and says he wants to make dinner.

He makes a point to tell me to “make sure you have a strong appetite” so I didn’t eat anything at all since breakfast and I was starving after working all day. So I arrive at 6 pm and I see him making steak, eggs, potatoes and corn on the cob (the small ones that you put in pasta salad). It looked and smelled delicious. He puts on a movie while we wait, so I’m in the living room the entire time he is cooking.

Well, he keeps going back and forth between the kitchen and living room and on his last trip back, he brings out our plates and much to my surprise, it’s pizza. I just kind of looked at him and ask where the steak and eggs were and he pretty bluntly said that was for his dogs (2 German Shepard’s) and stated they eat better than he does. I reminded him that I couldn’t eat pizza (red sauce) and he starts arguing that he made sure to not put much sauce on it(its frozen) and kept telling me to just try it.

I asked if he had anything else and he said no. I told him sorry but I needed to go and excuse myself. On the way home I grabbed myself something to eat.

Well, he calls me and it sounds like he is having a meltdown. Saying he can’t believe I made him feel like that and that the pizza was homemade and he made sure not to put much sauce on it (but he knows I can’t have it at all) and said something about adding sugar to it, etc. Said I’ve showed my true colors.

My friends also think I’m overreacting here and said I’m acting jealous of his dogs.

Here are what netizens think:

  • This is what casual dating is for. He seems to have confused dislike of strong sauce (hence the sugar) for an actual medical condition, but it is odd that he can’t seem to understand the simple medical explanation. Not sure this has Anything to do with the dogs.
  • Like that you can always be his dog, since his dog life is better than yours.
  • I am an old woman. I keep reading about young men not finding women to date. If they all act like this guy I can understand why?

GIRL DOWN WITH COVID, BUT BF STILL KEEPS TRYING TO GET INTIMATE WITH HER

0

I don’t know how to feel about my boyfriend right now.

I’m(19) very sick with Covid and I feel like absolute crap, yet my boyfriend (28) is still trying to have s– with me everyday.

I wake up in the morning and I feel like I’ve been hit by a train and the first thing he says is “touch my PP?” and I say no because my arm muscles are very sore, then he just rolls over on side and stops talking to me.

This is like an every morning and every night thing. I let him grind on me because he begs until I just agree with him but he’ll try to slide it in and I have to shoo him away and then deal with him getting all quiet and not speaking to me anymore because of it.

I don’t understand how he can still get turned on when I’m this sick or why he can’t just “play” with himself.

Netizens’ comments

  • Predatory behaviour. Good men don’t do this. You’re a possession to him, not a person.
  • You’re 19 and he’s 28, there’s very something wrong there. He doesn’t care that you’re sick, leave before he uses his age and what that brings him to hurt you.
  • He’s clearly really immature. And when you’re in your mid 20s you’ll realize he’s a weirdo for dating a 19 year old, and for acting like this when she was sick.
Feel better, rest up and drink lots of liquids. Then realize you should be single and enjoy your 20s without a loser attached to you.

NTU & NUS GRADS CAN WORK IN UK UNDER “HIGH POTENTIAL INDIVIDUAL” VISA

0

Graduates from NUS and NTU can soon look for a job in Britain under a new visa, called the High Potential Individual (HPI) visa.

The HPI is aimed at giving businesses in Britain access to graduates from top universities as part of their government’s post-Brexit strategy to make Britain more competitive.

Applications for the HPI visa will open from 30 May, according to The Straits Times.

The top 50 universities qualify for the HPI, and besides NUS and NTU, schools such as Harvard, Stanford and MIT are on the list.

Under the scheme, the applicants have 2 or 3 years to look for a job.

The HPI is offered to those who have finished their degree from the top universities within the last 5 years, regardless if it was a bachelor’s, master’s or a PhD.

They would also have to meet English language prerequisites and have at least £1,270 available in cash.

Applicants also need not have a job offer to qualify for the visa – those with a bachelor’s or master’s degree will be given 2 years to look for a job in the UK, while those with a PhD will be given 3 years.

There are also no restrictions on the industry that they can work in.
