S’PORE FAMILY STUCK INSIDE LIFT DURING HARI RAYA, RESCUED BY LIFT TECHNICIAN

A netizen shared a video onto her TikTok account, @nina_vuiu, of her family stuck inside the lift during their Hari Raya visiting.

The lift had a maximum capacity of about 13 persons or 885kg, and her family of 11 thought that it would be fine for them to enter together.

However, when their lift reached the 8th storey, it stopped working and the family was unfortunately trapped inside it.

The family whiled away the time by lightheartedly, making funny faces in upbeat spirits as one of them played games on his mobile phone.

They didn’t have to wait very long for rescue though, as lift technicians arrived at the scene after 15 minutes and got them out.

The lift was then placed under maintenance to prevent others from using it for the time being.

GIRL POOPED IN HER PANTS WHILE WALKING, CAN’T CHANGE UNTIL REACH HOME

0

I just pooped my pants and could not change for 20 minutes.

I was just now cramping from my period and decided to turn back from walking to the store ( luckily I can’t imagine if this happened in the store) and started walking back.

I walked back for a while and felt the need to go to the bathroom. I held it for a couple more steps and then I needed to go so bad it started to hurt.

I got half a block away and could not hold it in anymore and thought maybe it might just be a little and it leaked through my underwear down my leg.

I had to walk 4-5 more blocks like this. I passed multiple people smelling like poop. The smell is terrible.

Then I finally got home and had to walk up the stairs to my home and felt it squishing onto my leg each step.

I am traumatised and will definitely be throwing this pair of pants away.

I’m sorry friend. I have had such an event myself. I reckon we all have. Shower, cry, clean the mess. But life shall continue

PARENTS IGNORING ONLY DAUGHTER BECAUSE SHE REFUSES TO HAVE KIDS

0

Parents (55M)(47F)are giving me (20F) cold shoulder because I said I won’t be having kids

Growing up I had a very rough childhood and an even tougher teenage years trying to cope with it all while my family was ignoring my blatant struggling and gaslighting me about it.

Absolutely nobody stood up for me until I started succeeding in school, because I guess they realized I’m an “ace in the hole” to bring the family some honor and money.

Anyways, back to my parents. When I turned 13 my parents drilled into my head that premarital intercourse was a sin and if they found out I’d done it they’d kick me out, disown me and physically punish me in front of everyone.

This has resulted in an obvious phobia to the act. I cannot even think about it without having some sort of meltdown, fearing the brutal punishment my parents would rain down on me if they ever found out.

They know little to nothing about the subject; they’ve only told me that it makes babies and is for married couples only. I know that this is total crap but please keep in mind that being threatened everyday of your life, being asked uncomfortable questions and humiliated in front of your family for things you didn’t even do stay with you for a very long time.

Last night my mom got on her soapbox to my other relatives and started talking about how smart and successful her grandchildren would be.

I am my parents’ only child, so that responsibility fell on me. My aunt asked me if I wanted a boy or a girl. Politely I said “I believe I won’t be having any children” and I tried to leave when someone grabbed me and pulled me back into the conversation.

All at once they were shouting at me as to “why wouldn’t I want kids” to which I replied “because I won’t be having intercourse.” My mom looked horrified and everyone was quiet for the rest of the night.

The next morning my parents came to talk to me about what I said. I told them, albeit in a sarcastic tone, that thanks to them the idea of intimacy terrified me so I wouldn’t be able to stomach it to have children.

They started yelling at me saying I “misunderstood them” and how could I be so selfish as to deprive them of a grandchild. When still I stayed firmly on what I said and refused to back down, they walked out and have been ignoring me since then.

I’m really stressed out at the moment because I hate the silent treatment and have finals going on. I don’t want to argue with them but at the same time I just can’t wish away my fear.

GUY CONFUSED, ASKED A GIRL FOR HER NUMBER THEN SHE STARTS CRYING

0

I asked out a girl yesterday and she cried

She full on cried. Like head in her hands cried. Her friends then glared at me and started berating me. They called me a creep, a weirdo. They made me feel like absolute crap.

I’m so confused, I didn’t even do anything wrong…

I don’t even think I did it in a weird way. All I did was ask for her number. I wasn’t pushy or touchy or anything. I would’ve taken a no, but my interest in her made her cry.

I’m so hopeless

Netizens’ comments

  • Hey, you’ve already been through this scenario now and lived. So that’s less to worry about the next time you ask someone out.
  • If you didn’t do anything, then this reaction is her problem not yours. And shows a person with some issues. I mean no insult but her doing that just saved you a lot of trouble in the future.
  • I don’t think you deserved to be treated that way over asking for someone’s number. However, it’s pretty clear that you weren’t the reason she was crying and they were being dramatic – she likely has a lot going on that you don’t know about.

SENGKANG GRC BELANJA MAKAN TO CONSERVANCY WORKERS TO THANK THEM

Sengkang GRC MP Jamus Lim shared on his Facebook page that every now and then, they buy food for the Anchorvale conservancy workers to thank them for keeping the estates clean.

Here is what he said

Every now and then, we buy our #Anchorvale conservancy workers and town council staff a simply biryani lunch (which we cater from a fellow #SengkangGRC small business).

Over the past couple of years, this was a pretty decentralized affair; we mainly got them to gather to collect their food, before needing to disperse due to COVID-19 safe distancing measures.

So this has been the first opportunity for me to sit down with the folks who do so much to keep our estate spick and span, and to convey our appreciation and send our encouragement to #TeamSengkang (as well as wish those who do celebrate a belated Eid Mubarak). #WuJio

GIRL MOVED IN TO LIVE WITH BOYFRIEND, THEN BECOMES HOMESICK

0

I am homesick living with my boyfriend, so I recently had just moved into my boyfriends house and started living with him.

My family know about it and we’re absolutely shattered that I left and it was a whole dramatic catastrophe because no one knew I even had a boyfriend and that I moved to be with him. I went missing.

But after all the drama died down, I started to really miss my family. My mother specifically, and my newborn nephew. My siblings. Even my stepdad.

I cry every time my boyfriend leaves for work because I know crying stresses him out. But a few days ago he came home for lunch and I forgot he would, and I was crying and screaming my head off lmao.

Partly because I was thinking that my family would never wanna see me again. My boyfriend hugged me until I shut up.

But jesus christ I feel homesick as I’m typing this. I feel devastated and lonely. What can I do to combat these feelings?

Netizens’ comments

  • Go back to live with your family, they will want to see you and know you are ok. This situation is not ok.
  • The fact that you’re scared to cry and show your emotions is worrying, please be really careful that you don’t get trapped in something that makes you so unhappy, especially when you’re this young. Go home if you’re miserable, I’m sure your family would love to have you back. Good luck OP.

MAN SLOWLY PUSHES TROLLEY AND BLOCKS THE ROAD, CAMCAR DRIVER FED UP

A video emerged online showing a man pushing a trolley in the middle of the road at an open carpark and blocking the way of a car behind.

The driver then got fed up and ran out of patience, and inched the car slowly, to which the man then made the most of it and pretended that he got hit.

The man then stopped his trolley and stood in the middle of the road, talking out his phone to film the driver.

The incident happened on 18 May at about 9.55pm, at a carpark at Clementi West Street 2.

Here is what the netizen said

After allowing the driver and her passenger to use the public road to do the groceries loading at their own slow pace, the male passenger blocked the road and pretended that he has been knocked.

He then pushed the trolley towards to cam-car and narrowly hit the front bumper.

GIRL CAUGHT MAN TAKING PHOTOS OF A SLEEPING WOMAN INSIDE TRAIN

0

I saw a man taking pictures of a sleeping woman on the train.

He was sitting and I was standing by the door, behind him. I accidentally glanced at his phone. He took photos of the sleeping woman opposite of him and edited the photos so only the woman was on them, the window and the other passenger sitting next to her were cropped out.

He then proceeded to send the pictures to someone with a message, but I didn’t see what he wrote. At the next stop the seat next to the woman became available, I sat down next to her, woke her up and discreetly told her what happened. She thanked me.

I felt like I should mind my own business. But also what is this creep will follow the woman and she won’t notice him until it’s too late.

Should I have minded my business? Maybe it was innocent? But no, it was at least inappropriate and actually super creepy.

I’m glad I told the woman but then why do I feel uneasy?

Netizens’ comments

  • no you needed to tell her, that was the absolute best thing to do
  • I feel uneasy just reading this.. you handled it well though IMO
  • When I was 17 an older guy (I think 30s) thought I was asleep on the train and announces to his friend he was gunna take pics of my chest. I was alone, no adult around piped up to say it was wrong, so I did the only thing I could think of: pretended to wake up stretching and “accidentally” punched his phone.
Thank you for informing that woman, that was super shifty behaviour.
