RIDER SIAM TP AT ROADBLOCK, CRASHED HIS MOTOR, THEN TRIES TO FIGHT LTA OFFICER

A 21-year-old motorcyclist was arrested by the Traffic Police for suspected drug-related and traffic offences after trying to escape during a Traffic Police check which resulted in a high speed chase.

LTA officers were conducting routine checks along Farrer Road when they signalled for a motorcycle to stop, but the rider didn’t comply and sped away towards Queensway.

LTA officers then went after the motorcycle, which then hit a roadside kerb and flipped over.

The rider then allegedly tried to flee on foot but was detained by the LTA officers, who then asked the police for assistance.

At one point, the rider tried to fight the officer, and he was then pinned down but managed to escape.

The rider picked up his helmet and ran away into the void deck, with the officer chasing after him.

He was later seen arrested.

71-YEAR-OLD UNCLE DIED FROM HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT AT BEDOK, APPEALING FOR WITNESSES

A 71-year-old motorcyclist died following a hit-and-run accident that happened at Bedok, along New Upper Changi Road last night (31 March).

He was with his wife, a 69-year-old woman, who was sitting pillion on his motorcycle, and both were involved in the accident that claimed his life.

His wife was conscious when she was conveyed to Changi General Hospital.

A passerby who stopped to render assistance to the victims, shared that the uncle was badly injured and that he had lost a lot of blood.

The old man was unconscious when taken to the hospital.

The passerby is appealing for witnesses to come forward with evidence of the hit-and-run accident.

Investigations are currently ongoing.

SHENG SIONG OUTLET AT MARSILING DRIVE FLOODED AFTER HEAVY RAIN

A Sheng Siong outlet at a Marsiling Drive void deck was reportedly flooded due to being subjected to heavy rainfall on 29 March.

The employees had to use sandbags to stop the water from pouring in and they also used a pump to pump out the water from inside their shop.

The flooding lasted about 30 minutes.

Some of the supermarket’s goods could be seen floating on the brownish-looking rainwater, as the staff took off their shoes to stack the goods back onto the shelves as well as dispelling the flood.

A spokesperson for Sheng Siong said that the outlet is prone to flooding and as bsuch, they had sandbags and pumps to prepare for these kinds of situations.

S’PORE PR MADE FALSE DECLARATIONS FOR SHN, RISKED OTHERS TO COVID-19

Ko Kyung Ho, 45-years-old, will be charged in court today (1 April) for making false declarations so that he could opt out of having to serve a Stay Home Notice (SHN) at a dedicated facility.

He arrived in Singapore on 25 November last year and was issued a SHN from 25 Novemebr to 9 December.

He allegedly declared to ICA officers in a form that he would be staying at his place of residence either on his own, or with household members with the same travel history as him.

However, when officers conducted checks at his homje on 26 November, they found 3 people who did not share the same travel history as him; along with 9 house movers who were moving items into his place.

If convicted, Ko faced a jail term of up to 6 months, and/or a fine of up to $10,000.

GUY ASKS NETIZEN WHO MOCKED HIM ON TIKTOK, TO COME DOWN CENTRAL FIND HIM

A video emerged online showing an Indian guy replying to a comment he allegedly received on TikTok.

He openly challenged the guy to “come down da, Central (sic)”, telling him to come down to Central instead of “putting finger message (sic)”.

MONITOR LIZARD BROKE INTO GUY’S HOME, FAMILY LEAVES HOUSE AND DON’T DARE GO IN

A video of a monitor lizard inside the living room of a guy’s home emerged online.

The lizard could be seen crawling around the living room as the man and his family were “stuck” outside their home, refusing to go back in because of the lizard.

It is unclear how the lizard managed to get inside the apartment.

AIRCON CONTRACTORS SIT PRECARIOUSLY ON AIRCON LEDGE DURING SERVICING

A hair-raising photo of a couple of presumed aircon contractors sitting precariously on the outside of a HDB unit emerged on Instagram.

They were presumably servicing the aircon and although it isn’t known which floor they were on, they were still pretty high up.

It is unclear which company the two contractors are working for.

A group of young punks were seen with their masks down and posing for a photo at a void deck as well as on a bus.

They could be seen flashing gang signs as well.

It is unclear who these young punks are.

YOUNG PUNK SMOKING AT VOID DECK IN SCHOOL UNIFORM BECAUSE WHY NOT

A video of a few young punks smoking under shelter at a void deck in their school uniform has been making its rounds online.

According to the comments, the boys are allegedly from Whitley Secondary School.

DRIVER SEEN USING HIS PHONE WHILE DRIVING, NOT LOOKING AT THE ROAD

A video surfaced online showing a driver using his phone while driving on the road.

In the video, he could be seen looking intently at his phone screen as his car was cruising.

He was inexplicably endangering himself as well as other road users with his errant actions.
