FOREIGN GF GOES MIA AFTER RETURNING TO HER HOME COUNTRY

0

Me (m28) kind of piss off my gf (f26). Need advice on how to apologise.

A little backstory: my gf (foreigner)had to leave her family (singaporean & pr) during covid to go back to her home country. At the start, she would be very excited to share every small little details about her life be it happy things or unpleasant things. but as time go on and a few job changes, i find that she does not share to me about her life anymore. on & off we still video call n msg a little here n there but mostly dependent on her mood. sometimes i feel that i am left to wander if she is still interested in me? in this relationship?

Now recently during the long weekends, her country is also having a long weekends, so i thought she would be free to talk so i videoed called her on fb n a msging app. but she avoided my calls and said to msg her instead. Thus i msged her. But aft sending 2-3 msg, she blocked me on the chat app n fb. Her ig is still open to me though. have tried to apologise to her thru her ig but she is still ignoring me. not even a mention of if she want a breakup.

I kind of unable to move on with this sudden blocking of communication. any suggestion or advice on what can i do?

Here are what netizens think:

I think the LDR is taking a toll on her and she simply want to end it.Here is what I would do: I won’t try to contact her at all for a week. If after a week and she doesn’t even bother to unblock you, that means you need to move on.Honestly, she act like a kid with no sense of responsibility. Why do you even bother?

In this case I think she should be the one who apologize to you isn’t it?She’s probably uncomfortable with confrontations so she’s using this to tire you out. Leave her a message and let her know u hope to have a closure? And hope for the best.

Try give her space, after a while just ask her if she wants to cont or end the rs. Only when ur get a closure u will know what to do. But she blocked u, thats already a bad sign. Just prepare to move on

Got new bf already lah don’t bodoh.

GIRL GOT DRUNK & VOMITED AT DATE’S HOME, GUY HAD TO CLEAN HER UP

0

I threw up on our date. Are we done?

I (22f) was invited on a date with my FWB (28m). I got way too drunk at the arcade. Needed to be carried to bed and was unable to stand because of how tipsy I was.

He helped me to the bathroom but I threw up all over the floor. He had to clean it up while I threw up in the toilet.

He put my hair in a rubberband for me. I then proceeded to get in his shower. He had to help me bathe and put me in pajamas because of how drunk I was.

He did everything right and was perfect, but hasn’t tried to hang out since that night or talk to me. It has been 10 days.

Did I ruin our relationship because of what happened?

Netizens’ comments

  • Wait, how did you get that drunk at an arcade though…?
  • It probably just reminded him that you are still in your early twenties. You are still growing into the person you will be and he’s probably not willing to go down that road with you. It’s a great learning lesson to always eat before drinking and stop at two/three
And you don’t want to date your FWB anyways. More often then not, it doesn’t lead to the end game.
  • I hoped you reached out and thanked him tremendously. It may be over but it may not be. Be straight up with him and ask him to hang out (not drinking this time)

GIRL SAYS “BECOMING ATTRACTIVE” HAS RUINED HER FAITH IN HUMANITY

Becoming attractive destroyed my faith in humanity

Around 5 years ago, after being 18 kg overweight from age 13 until my 20s, I lost all that weight and had a major glow up.

I guess I was not totally homely to begin with, but after losing the weight, I went from being cute to beautiful, as per the people in my life.

Following this change in my appearance, I am more cynical than ever. The change in the way people treated me was insane!

Strangers started telling me to cut in front of them in lines, people started holding doors open for me, I get free desserts and appetizers in restaurants, I am offered free stuff and discounts from department store employees.

Even the people closest to me were all of a sudden more patient with me, the behaviors that were once irritating to friends are now endearing.

I would get it if this change was just in men that were attracted to me, but it is in everyone around me, including women and children.

Pretty privilege is absolutely real and the disturbing reality is that after I became thinner and more conventionally attractive, I seemingly became more deserving of empathy and kindness.

This realization has shaken my view of the world and I have never felt so demoralized in my life.

GIRL HAD FRIENDS OVER, THEN FOUND GUY TOUCHING HIMSELF IN HER TOILET

walked in on friend “playing with himself” in my bathroom, door unlocked

Me (F18) and a few other friends, were chilling at my house, watching a movie. One of them goes and walks off saying he needs to go to the bathroom, and leaves in a hurry, no worries, everything’s fine.

After a while i really need to go to the toilet, so I go to my bedroom toilet, as I assume he is using the main/spare one.

I wasn’t paying much attention and swing open the door, he is there furiously “punishing himself” on the toilet, so much that he doesn’t notice me standing there.

After maybe five seconds he notices me after I let a delayed, “uhm, sorry” out.

He realizes I’m there and blows up at me in anger and humiliation, and that i can’t tell anybody, gets and fixes himself up, and hurries out.

I walk back out after finishing and I see him sitting on the couch, looking real angry.

I don’t get why he’s mad at me, and frankly, considering his girlfriend was in the house at the time, and he’s beating off in a private bathroom, is a little weird of him.

ALSO WHO DOESN’T LOCK THE DOOR?

GIRL’S GRANDMOTHER DIED, THEN RETURNED TO WISH HAPPY B’DAY

My grandmother came back to visit after she passed

I would just like to share this story because it’s nice to think about. Both my grandparents had passed before I was born so never got to meet them.

I only ever saw photos and heard stories of what they were like. My mother told me this one story about my grandmother and it makes me believe in another place we go to after we pass.

So when my grandmother was alive, when she was going to the shop she would always say to the children who were outside playing “I’ll bring you back some sweets on my way back”.

Even though she didn’t have a lot of money at the time, she always gave them sweets before heading home. Her friend had a son and my grandmother would never miss going too his birthday party.

When my grandmother passed, her friends sons birthday came around. My grandmothers friend was folding clothes and when she looked behind, my grandmother was standing there.

Her friend said “what are you doing back (grandmothers name). My grandmother replied saying (im here too see (friends sons name) for his birthday”

Her friend said “you’ve seen him now, you can go rest (my grandmothers name)”

My grandmother then left. My mother didn’t hear about this story until a few years later because my grandmothers friend didn’t want too upset her.

I think my grandmother was hardworking and caring.

One of the guys then said he will call the police, to which the man then replied “LJ lah police! We all never play police one Singapore people!”

He added “I prison not first time lah eh!” as he started describing the guy’s backside.

The group then alighted from the train, appearing to be heading out to meet with the police, with the bald man walking in front.

As they were about to reach the bottom of the escalator, the “Singapore paikia” then abruptly took off and ran away from the MRT station.

CUTE OTTERS ACTING AS DOLPHINS AT FOUNTAIN OF RIVER VALLEY SHOWFLAT

A Facebook user, Sunshine Yiling, shared a video of a group of otters having fun inside a fountain of a River Valley condo showflat, onto the Facebook group Singapore Wildlife Sightings.

She captioned her video:

All otters: I can swim butterfly like Joseph Isaac Schooling!
Odd otter: I can sprint like Usain Bolt!
All otters: Get back in the pool!

The otters appeared to be unbothered by the humans filming them, and were seen swimming and running back and forth in and around the fountain.

A couple of the otters were seen swimming like dolphins inside the fountain as they raced each other to the end of the fountain.

The otters are presumably the Smooth-coated otter, and are reportedly known to be very playful and sociable little creatures.

They do have a dark side though, as they have been seen in the past fighting with other groups of otters and defending their territory.
