A Facebook user, Zizie Caipirinha, shared how her family’s flower decorations for Hari Raya was destroyed by a man, and the incident was caught on CCTV.

Here is what she said

“uncle, you nothing to do ah?! early morning bring scissors come outside people house to ruin people’s decorations for Hari Raya?

willing to wake up during dawn just to do this? isn’t this an act of vandalism? damaging people’s properties?

and FYI, this has been ongoing for every year whenever Hari Raya is around the corner. also, he doesn’t EVEN STAY ON THE SAME LEVEL.

so what’s his problem?!!!”

Potential penalties

The stealing, destroying, or damaging of any private and/or public property is an offence under Section 2 of the Vandalism Act.

Persons found guilty of vandalism face a fine of up to $2,000, or a jail term of up to 3 years, and caning of between 3 to 8 strokes.

An accident occurred along Holland road between a public bus and a tipper truck.

A video of the incident was uploaded on TikTok and Facebook with workers helping out in the unfortunate incident.

According to the video, no one was injured in the incident.

A group of people standing on the sidewalk are believed to be passengers who have disembarked from the bus.

268 UNDER INVESTIGATIONS, VICTIMS LOST OVER S$5.8 MILLION TO SCAMMERS

According to the Police media release, a two-week operation from April 15 to April 28, 2022 was conducted by the Commercial Affairs Department and the seven Police Land Divisions which lead to the investigations of 268 individuals.

A total of 175 males and 93 women, aged 14 to 75, are now assisting in investigations for their alleged involvement in frauds as money mules or scammers. The accused are suspected of being involved in over 680 incidents of scams, mostly including Internet love scams, e-commerce scams, China/Government Officials impersonation scams, tech support scams, investment scams, employment scams, and loan scams, in which victims lost over $5.8 million.

Investigations

The suspects are being investigated for the alleged offences of cheating, money laundering or providing payment services without a licence.

The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years and a fine.

The offence of money laundering under the Corruption, Drug Trafficking and Other Serious Crimes carries an imprisonment term not exceeding 10 years, a fine not exceeding $500,000, or both.

The offence of carrying on a business to provide any type of payment service in Singapore without a licence carries a fine not exceeding $125,000, an imprisonment term not exceeding three years, or both.

A woman who is almost due to birth is normally cared for by family members but this is not the case for an incident that happened at Tampines.

A 31-year-old pregnant woman was punched by her husband in a parking lot.

Background:

According to CNA, 27-year-old Niam Jinson pleaded guilty to count count of voluntarily hurt and was sentenced to 8 weeks in jail.

The incident happened at a Tampines carpark, the man was driving his car and told his wife to alight first.

However, his wife refused to step down of the car as she accused Niam of having an affair. This triggered Niam and he started attacking his wife.

He punched her in the head, back and face.

The woman turned the other way to protect herself and her unborn baby. Liam continued to assault by pulling her hair.

He then hold her face and tilted against him and he wanted his wife to face him.

He then threatened to kick her stomach.

It is unclear if the couple still lives together.

64 Y.O WOMAN CHARGED: OPENED BANK ACCOUNTS FOR SCAMMERS TO USE

On April 28, 2022, a 64-year-old lady was accused of colluding with unknown individuals to trick two local banks into creating bank accounts for her under the false pretence that the bank accounts would be utilized by her.

The lady was also accused of allegedly assisting unknown individuals in gaining unauthorized access to the banks’ computer systems by providing them with online banking login credentials and an ATM card.

Criminals exploited the bank accounts to launder profits of crime arising from three recorded occurrences of Internet Love Scams. The lady is also charged with carrying on the business of providing payment services in Singapore, for allegedly collecting money in her current bank account with the intent of transferring the revenues.

Three Victims

Three victims of Internet Love Scams have fallen in love with people they met online through Facebook and Instagram. At the request of their online loves, the victims transferred a total of S$121,000 over time for a variety of causes.

Some money was provided ostensibly to aid with cashflow issues; money was also transferred under the guise of paying fees required to unlock gifts delivered by their online loves.

According to police investigations, the 64-year-old added unknown people on Facebook since 2019. The lady deceived two local banks into creating two bank accounts in her name at the request of the internet parties to assist them in receiving monies in Singapore for their “business”, by fooling the banks into believing she was the person utilizing these bank accounts.

The woman shipped a bank ATM card to a Malaysian location and gave the internet banking login information to others she met online.

Penalties

For conspiring to cheat the bank into opening the bank account, which act is likely to cause harm to the reputation of the bank, she could be send to jail to up to three years, a fine, or both. 

For abetting persons to secure unauthorised access to a bank’s computer system for a first-time offender, a fine not exceeding $5,000, an imprisonment term not exceeding two years, or both.

For the offence of carrying on the business of providing payment service in Singapore without a licence under Section 5 of the Payment Services Act 2019, a person convicted of the offence can be fined up to the maximum of $125,000, be sentenced to an imprisonment term of up to three years, or both.

Earlier in the morning , someone threw their macdonald meals from above floors.
Our country is a great advocate for being a green country but such acts only taints our country image and by such malicious act, the cleaner in charge of this area has more workload to do. Manifesting of rats and bird would only further taint our PAP town council efficiency standards.

At around 12 am, this trash threw the whole pizza down first floor along with the box and it nearly hit my wife on the head because she was doing the laundry. The trash stained some clothes and landed directly on the ground floor. She was very lucky not to get hit by it and FORTUNATELY too no one walked by or the consequences will be dire…

Maybe its time for NEA to install a CCTV.

Will be keeping a lookout for such inconsiderate individual.

what happen if someone walked pass ? A whole box of pizza landing on someone’s head?

Is this the right thing to do?

who is going to clean up after you ? please be responsible , the rubbish chute is there for a reason.

After a long time of rules of gathering size, many activities has finally returned.

A large group of supercars were spotted gathering at Kallang to show their rides and discuss about cars.

The group was spotted right outside Kallang Decathlon store.

A classic Toyota Hachi Roku (86) was spotted with the signature tofu shop logo. Many people were seen taking photos of the car most famously known in Initial D.

My gf and I has been together for coming to 8 months and we recently have some arguments about how she hangs out with other guys.

While I love her the way she is, she is sometimes too “blur” in my opinion, but also because of that she is very happy and optimistic of other people’s intention.

As we stay in different halls, I found her going on one on one meals with her hall friend, and sometimes goes to talk with her senior in his room, and just generally being very friendly with everyone, and sometimes studying in the library and exercising together one on one.

They are different guys. I count myself as quite introverted and put very strict rules on how I interact with girls, and throughout my life I really dont see the point of building close friendships as I feel like its either you catch feelings or when they get attached you lose that friendship.

I do have female friends, but I do not hang out with them or text them much like how my gf would, and in the 8 months knowing her, I only met 2 of them one on one once, and I know them since secondary school.

I definitely know nothing is going on between them as she tells me about what she does before hand, and she was ok with me reading their text when I asked that one time.

But I was upset that she was being too comfortable and we sorta fought over it. And I just feel like being attached, you shouldn’t be hanging out with guys that often, and I keep the same standards for myself.

So I asked my friends about it, and they said it could be because she was 3 years younger than me (i retained) so she might not be as mature to understand that while i trust her, i do not trust the guys she hangs out with. 

Anyway I would like to hear advice from everyone here. Am i being too unreasonable? i know i can be quite conservative, but is asking her to tone it down too much?

Its my first serious relationship and I do not want to screw it up over this issue, and if its really a values thing, should i reconsider the whole rs altogether?

Today, we launched our initiative to drive collective action for mental health in Singapore. Consulting various advocacy groups and individuals in the mental health space, Minister Chan Chun Sing, MOS Sun Xueling and MP Wan Rizal listened to and discussed the many perspectives and issues relating to the issue that affect our community.

Mental health concerns everyone, and we believe that nobody needs to deal with mental health struggles on their own.

We are proud of our partners in the community who showed that we can all do something to cast a spotlight and rally others towards this cause. They include Singaporean filmmaker Royston Tan and popular creamery Apiary .

I’ve been stealing my kids possessions and I don’t want to give them back
Kind of a clickbait title, but it’s the simplest way of putting it.

My kids love Harry potter, they wear their house robes (one’s Gryffindor and the other is Slytherin) damn near every day, obviously they have wands and they practice their spells

I’ve even fake told the Slytherin off for using an unforgivable curse on her sister and making her cry “we. do. NOT. USE. THE CRUCIATUS CURSE IN THIS HOUSE”

I couldn’t hold in my smile and the kid caught me laughing myself out the room

Anyway they love showing mummy their magic so I’ll sit in our bedroom across from theirs and listen to them doing their thing, and when they scoot off to go show my other half I sneak in to their bedroom and take whatever they’ve been practicing on.

I have an entire box of expelliamus’d items under my bed and I think if I give them back it’ll shatter their innocence, like they’ll no longer play make believe because it isn’t real.

When they ask “have you seen my…” i tell them “You flung it to another dimension with your magic”
