Getting old is part and parcel of life, a sweet and adorable moment was spotted in the MRT after an elderly man was seen caring for his wife on the train.

The video has been circulating on Reddit with many people stating that they wish they can be as sweet as the couple when they become old.

As touching as the moment can be, netizens pointed out that they should not be drinking on the train. (what a wet blanket)

Positive comments found on the video:

• Filming strangers in the public is creppy man… I know they love each other, but still I wouldn’t want random dude filming me and my partner.

Visiting your loved ones in the hospital is often not a joyous occasion, especially when loved ones are on the death bed.

Facebook user Eileen Meilisa recently posted on her Facebook claiming that the hospital staff lack empathy.

Here is what she said:

During my mum 16days in hospital, i have made a request to transfer to SGH as 10 days in icu ward 23 bed 32,36 repeatedly 4hourly blood test but could not find the source of the infection as claimed profound of septic shock in nature, but got rejected as mum isn’t in stable condition and that they claimed everywhere is the same. 11th day transferred to general ward, hoping for a miracle and seek for transfer again to get a second opinion, mum condition deteriorate so i gave up the thought of transferring her. Medical practicers in SKH Ward 610 is a nightmare!

2 horrifying incident happened:

First, 1 of the ward doctors by the name of Dr Johnathan came up to me right infront of my mum bed here is the conversation “your mum is in her last days and that transferring anywhere is the same..whether u want her to die at home, at SGH, at SKH or even Hospices. We can easily prolong her life to be able to see your wedding next month by putting her on drips”

Second, a ward nurse (PRC young nurse) handling my mum doing handover shift to another nurse (Joey Foo) and a guy nurse while i on my mum’s bedside. Partial handover loud conservation went exactly like this “you need to take photo with ur hp and submit the patient (my mum) BP and Oxygen level every hourly and key in manually in their computer system, if she (my mum) die then it will be use as a proof, if she (my mum) never die then no need to do anything la” HELLO!!??? What did i just heard? am i deaf?

Apart of all these, soiled diaper also takes nearly 40mins to be cleaned up after nurse is aware just bcos my mum could not communicate, could not call out for help when needed to. It should not be neglected like this and caused her to have bedsores and infections on her inital wounds at the butt area.

Knowing my mum well, i just kept my cool and decided to head to their patient relationship center to do file a complaint. My purpose of sharing on social media because i don’t receive any updates on all these complaints yet am seeing worse thing happening in the ward.

Ministry of Health, Singapore Sengkang General Hospital Please remind the medical practicers to have empathy with patients and next of kin, be mindful of the choice of words and speak with respect just like you wished to be treated with.

As a nurse, i think it is important to protray professionalism at all times during their duties.

I spent an average of 6-8hrs a day in the ward and witnessed how nurse (Joey Foo) shouting around in the ward forgetting this and that shouting for colleagues to bring over, gossiping with colleagues infront of next of kin regards which and which doc just increased the medication dosage without informing. Not protraying impatience with helping elderly to the washroom when asked to. Lastly i like to especially thank this nurse (Cindy Tan) and a ponoy guy nurse that cleaned up my mum nicely after my mum passed on.

I like to have an explanation on this “You can prolong my mum life by just putting her on drip, why she still passed on?”

The Tuas Lamppost is one of the places that allows stickers to be pasted on legally in Singapore. Previously, Minister Ong Ye Kung said an exception was made at Tuas Lamp Post 1 to allow stickers to be pasted on the lamp post.

Whenever we drive on the road there will always be one or two unruly drivers that thinks that the road belongs to their grandfather.

A blue Toyota Prius Alpha Hybrid was recorded by the dashcam, cutting lane dangerously and the dashcam driver high beam at the Toyota.

However, the man was unhappy with it and stopped his vehicle in the middle of nowhere to block the way. The man then steps out and point here point there kpkb macham he praying or something.

But netizens say the cam car is at fault also for not giving way into a filtering lane. Basically both of them should not be driving.

• 2 wrongs doesn’t make a right. Throwing things on the road while driving. That’s dangerous. Stopping in the middle of a road without reason. That’s dangerous too. Good luck.

• Filtering out does not give cam driver to speed thru without checking for on-coming traffic…if so what the fxxk is the give way marking on the road? Cam driver you better change your driving behavior cos the next on-coming traffic YOU MEET will be way more larger and would not give way to your self -entitled behavior way of driving!

• For goodness camcar you didn’t even stop at the filter lane !He was obviously angry with you and overtook you to let you know what you did! Although what he did was dangerous,you are a damn dangerous driver who don’t stop at the stop line at a filter lane to check for main road traffic!Shame on you!!!

• Failing out to give way is wrong. Most is a fine. Throwing rock can be rash act and seizable offence. This is just to supersede robbery with attempted murder lol…if not anyone can do anything if someone commit a civil , traffic and non criminal offences. Action comes with consequences.

Whenever we take a mode of public transport most people will behave and be considerate to others. But there are always a few that do whatever they want.

Photos circulating on a public bus show an elderly man removing his slippers and resting his feet on the seats across him.

This kind of behaviour is commonly seen in public transport and many netizens are unhappy saying that even telling them politely they would not listen and reporting it to the bus captain does not seem to make any difference.

A photo is currently circulating on social media after an elderly woman was seen using a model and helping a child to urinate.

While some netizens say that the adult could be facing some issues, many were still unhappy that they allowed child to stand on a chair and urinate into a bottle.

• If kid is not toilet trained, yet no intention to wear pampers when outside for whatever reasons, then stay at home. All reasons put forth by sympathisers like to save seat or save ice kachang or ah mah is old etc does not justify letting the kid pee into any form of receptacle, whether standing on the chair or on the ground in an eatery in full view of others. It is unhygenic, disgusting and uncivilised. And it imparts wrong values to the kid. Period .

• Sometimes don’t think the kids can do anything becos they r kids. Saw many times mothers let their kids stand on the seats in buses or trains. So kids’ shoes don’t get dirty or soiled. Won’t dirty the seats.

• This is not acceptable esp in a social setting. There are etiquettes that needs to be adhered to. It sets the wrong impression and learning to the kid not to mention the lack of mindfulness towards other diners

• Kid is small I know, but this is still unacceptable. This is a food court where people are having meal. Before going into the food court, should have ask the boy if he wanna go toilet. Just like we are asking our kid to go toilet before going out, before going home. This is pee, what if the boy wanna poo, is she gonna let the boy do it there?

• auntie is holding the bottle? The meaning this boy always pee like that when they outing. Don’t said: just the kid. If he can not tahan, use diapers for him before go out. Because they want to save a little bit money on diapers, so let the kid do that . If they already trained him, before go out will use toilet, around 2 hrs will asking him go toilet again. I almost parked next to it! The guys (I think they were friends , one Chinese and one Indian) were occupying 2 lots with all doors open, looked like they were packing something. I noticed the bonnet was also lifted up. Decided to just moved on. Normally I would have tooted lightly to signal I wanna park! Pheww!!! No one was inside the car. No idea how the fire started. But there were indeed at least 3 small “explosions”. Quite scary.
