According to the Police media release, a 31-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of aggravated outrage of modesty.
Sembawang Road
On 6 April 2022 at about 8.55pm, the Police received a report that a woman was molested by an unknown man at a restaurant located along Sembawang Road.
Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of Police cameras, officers from Woodlands Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him within three hours of the report incident.
Potential Penalties
The man will be charged in court on 8 April 2022 with the offence of aggravated outrage of modesty under Section 354A(1) of the Penal Code 1871. The offence carries an imprisonment term of not less than two years and not more than ten years, and with caning.
The Police have zero tolerance towards sexual offenders who threaten the safety of the community. They will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law.
A Facebook user, Hazel Chee, shared how her parents’ dog died during their usual evening walks after the rain and had died suddenly after collapsing.
The dog was apparently electrocuted to death due to faulting underground wiring from a lamppost nearby.
The incident happened in Kuala Lumpur.

PSA for pet owners: Avoid walking your dog in the rain, or after the rain just stopped if they ground is wet. If you’re walking your dog and it suddenly starts jumping frantically and screaming, pull it away from where it is standing IMMEDIATELY.
Last night, my parent’s dog died suddenly during their usual evening walks in the park. As soon as he started hopping and shouting, he collapsed from cardiac arrest. They attempted CPR, but the success rate of CPR in pets is less than 5%.
What happened? The lamp post nearby probably had faulty wiring underground, and electricity was leaking into the ground. To make things worse, it had just rained and the ground was wet. As soon as he stepped on the affected area, he was gone.
Humans wear shoes with rubber soles, so we can walk across areas with electricity leakage without getting shocked. But animals (and sometimes little children) run around bare feet.
We are heart broken by what has happened, and a report will be made to the local council about the wiring. But I hope that by sharing this, pet owners (and maybe even parents) can be more weary about such incidents.

Update: I mention this in comments but gonna put here so no one misses it. TNB was contacted to come check and they confirmed large leakage area. A 49-year-old Australian man, Andrew Gosling, pleaded guilty on 25 February to committing a rash act that led to the death of 73-year-old Nasiari Sunee.
He also admitted to causing grievous hurt to the deceased’s wife, Ms Manisah Sitri, was suffered injuries to her right shoulder.
Gosling had thrown a wine bottle down from the 7th storey of a condominium in Spottiswoode Park Road in 2019, and as a result, cause the death of Nasiari who suffered a fatal skull fracture.
Gosling has since been sentenced to 5 and a half years in jail for killing the man in 2019.
What happened?
Andrew Gosling was at the lift landing on the 7th floor on 18 August 2019 at about 8.30pm when he threw a wine bottle down at a group of people on the 5th floor barbecue area.
The deceased was attending a housewarming party of a relative when the wine bottle hit him, and it also hit his wife.
The deceased’s eldest daughter, spoke to Straits Times in an interview that their relatives had heard two thuds before her father fell onto the floor with a wound on his head.
A glass bottle was then spotted nearby and one of the relatives who is a nurse, attended to his injuries before he was conveyed to SGH in an ambulance.
The eldest daughter said that her father’s heart stopped three times during the treatment and the family ultimately decided not to revive him if it stopped for a fourth time, because they didn’t want to prolong his pain.
The victim passed away the next morning at 9am after his blood pressure dipped, and he was buried on 20 August.
The police then went door to door at the condo in an attempt to find the suspect after the incident, and residents were reportedly shown a picture of an Italian wine bottle.
They were also asked if they were willing to provide fingerprint samples and if they had been drinking wine, and Gosling was then arrested on 28 August.
The SCDF released a statement with photos on their Facebook page, detailing the firefighting efforts and cause of the fire, as well as a reminder to the public on PMD/PAB fire prevention.

At approximately 8.15am today (8 Apr), SCDF responded to a fire at the above-mentioned location.
The fire involved the contents of a living room in a 10th floor unit. Upon SCDF’s arrival, the fire was raging and thick black smoke was emitting from the unit.
SCDF firefighters donned in breathing apparatus sets extinguished the fire with a water jet. As a result of the fire, the entire unit and a section of the corridor were affected by heat and smoke damage.
About 30 people from neighbouring units self-evacuated prior to SCDF’s arrival. There were no reported injuries.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the fire had originated from the battery pack of a Power Assisted Bicycle (PAB) which was charging in the living room at the time of the fire.
SCDF would like to remind the public on the prevention of PMD/PAB fires, including not to charge batteries for an extended period of time or overnight. Do not buy or use non-original batteries. See the accompanying infographic for more fire safety tips.
A video emerged online showing a middle-aged man brazenly vaping in public, inside an MRT train cabin with many commuters around him.
The man was seen in the video fiddling around with his phone, as he inhaled from the vaporiser and blew the mist out.
The video was presumably taken by another commuter who was sitting opposite the man, as seen from her reflection in the window behind the man.
A commuter beside the vaping man appeared to be unbothered by his brazen law-breaking.
The man was also seen with his bag taking up another seat beside him, with a luggage that is presumably his, being places on his left.
Potential penalties
Under section 16(2A) of the Tobacco (Control of Advertisements and Sale) Act (TCASA), it is illegal to possess, purchase and use vaporizers in Singapore as of 1 February 2018.
Persons found guilty of this offense can be fined up to $2,000.
Controversial Singapore runner Soh Rui Yong, pledged his support for Titus Low’s OnlyFans career in a Facebook post.
He shared about Low’s beginnings and urged people to “stand up in solidarity with Titus and wish him all the best”.
Background
Low was arrested last year for allegedly uploading videos and photos of his private parts onto his OnlyFans account.
His account was then seized and he was served an order not to access the account but he breached the order by allegedly recovering his account by writing to the site’s admin, claiming that his account was not secure and resetting his password.
He then continued to upload new content, including 20 obscene photos and 14 obscene videos from 14 November to 27 December last year.
Low was then charged on 30 December on two counts of transmitting obscene material via electronic means, as well as one charge of failure to comply with an order that was issued to him.
Low then spoke to Los Angeles Times in an interview, saying that he is considering moving overseas to continue his OnlyFans career.

Titus Low is a man with all the right gifts with the creativity to use them to succeed. Here’s someone who grew up in a broken home after his parents divorced when he was young. Yet in Singapore, he faces criminal charges for being an OnlyFans content producer. The Singaporean Penal Code states that it is illegal to “transmit any obscene materials by electronic means, or to take part in or receive profits from any business where such materials are transmitted.”
Hence, the literal interpretation of the Singapore Penal code is that, Titus making content of his own body, and sharing it with other consensual adults for profits, is considered a crime.
A lot people have jumped onto their high moral horses and shouted: “But he broke the law! He deserves it!” I dare say a good number of you have filmed your own intimate videos with your partners or sent intimate photos of yourselves to your partners, or possibly other people as well! FYI – That makes you offenders of Singapore law as well under Section 30 of the Films Act: Possession of obscene films
30.—(1) Any person who has in his or her possession any obscene film shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $20,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
Adult workers advocacy group Project X has described Singapore as being trapped in a state of moral panic that prevented the nation from treating intimacy as “a normal aspect of human behavior.” I couldn’t agree more with this statement. Perhaps if we as a country were more open minded about matters relating to intimacy, we might have less repressed youth committing molest cases every few months in NUS, and talents like Titus would be able to make a living peacefully without being in fear of imprisoned. If anything, our government should find a way to legalise and tax his earnings, not shut him down.
Titus faces up to 21 months in jail for doing what many content creators do around the world – use OnlyFans for the entertainment of their consenting and willing adult fans. It’s a pity that as a first world country, Singapore is unable to accept him and celebrate his success with him.
Titus has indicated his intention to move to London or Los Angeles after prison (should he be sentenced to that) in order to continue his career as an adult content creator. I think that serves as a further example of his courage and entrepreneurial spirit. We often speak of a lack of these qualities in Singapore. Here we have a great embodiment (pun unintended) of them and we are pushing him away.
I understand that the law is the law. But I also believe the laws of a country are a reflection of the level of societal maturity of a country. I encourage more of us to stand up in solidarity with Titus and wish him all the best.
I moved to my current condo back in September last year, and haven’t had any issues with the next-door neighbor until this past weekend.
I went to take out the trash one night, and when I came back, the guy knocked on our door to ask us to close the door more gently.
Fair enough, it was around 9PM, and while our door has a door closer (the hydraulic arm thing) and closes gently, there is a bit of a rattle sound at the end.
I understand how that can be a bit annoying when you’re trying to get ready for bed, so we’ve been pretty careful about it on late evenings. (Our doors are in arm’s reach without stepping out of the unit itself)
Just days later, when my wife came home from work around 7PM, she let the door naturally close, causing that minor rattling.
Seconds later, the guy comes out, starts cursing, punching the walls, slamming his feet loudly, and pacing back and forth in front of our unit for a good 2 minutes. My wife was terrified and didn’t dare open the door, but recorded some footage through the peephole.
I added some cushioning on the door frame to further minimize the rattling, so hopefully we don’t have any more of this.
However, I do want some advice from people who had similar experiences on what actions I can take in case his hostile attitude continues for other reasons.
To add, we don’t play any loud music or invite friends over for parties or anything like that, and are generally very quiet.
This is the 4th house I’ve moved to in Singapore, but it’s my first time having problems with a neighbor like this.

Kuala Lumpur: Singaporean traffic offenders will be barred from leaving the country and can be arrested if they have outstanding traffic summonses and summonses with arrest warrant status.
Over 100,000 summons yet to be paid
Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director, Datuk Mat Kasim Karim said, until now a total of 108,757 summonses have not been settled compared to 143,427 summonses issued from 2016 to 2021.
“JSPT would like to remind all Singaporean traffic offenders that they can be barred from leaving the country if they have an outstanding summons either Pol 170A or Pol 257 based on Section 66J of the Road Transport Act 1987 and under Section 24 (4) of the Police Act 1967.
“Meanwhile, if the traffic offenders have an arrest warrant status summons, the police will arrest them and charge them in court. If they cannot be charged on the same day, the traffic offenders will be arrested if they cannot produce a surety among Malaysians, before being charged the next day. “he said in a statement, today.
Commenting on the enforcement carried out, Mat Kasim said, his party always conducts the Foreign Citizens Outstanding Summons Operation (OSTWA) to take action against Singaporean traffic offenders whether large -scale involving all contingents or medium conducted by the Johor contingent throughout the year.
“In this regard, I deny the issue of outstanding summonses related to weaknesses in enforcement. The thing that also contributes to the outstanding summons is that the summons notice failed to be served due to not having the address of the traffic offender to enable the summons to be posted to them.
“In addition, it is possible that some vehicles issued summonses by the police have been disposed of when they reach their deadline, which is five years based on the law in force in Singapore,” he said.
According to him, he also welcomed the implementation of the registration of Singaporean vehicles by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) through the Road Charge Collection System (RC) and Foreign Vehicle Entry Record (VEP) which will take effect at the country’s border gates soon.
“Based on this system, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) will obtain information on traffic offenders to enable summons notices to be served on traffic offenders.
“The system will also scan the registration number of Singaporean vehicles entering the Malaysian border as well as display the number of outstanding summonses and they are barred from leaving until all summonses are cleared based on the provisions of the law,” he said.
Improved Enforcement
He said, JSPT has improved the enforcement equipment to be more modern and effective by using 40 Vehicle Registration Number Scanners (iCOPS) to detect traffic offenders who have outstanding summonses and arrest warrant status summonses.
“These scanners are connected directly to a database able to detect lost or reported stolen vehicles including clone vehicles.
“Besides that, to improve the efficiency and safety of road users, JSPT also uses Speed Limit Detection Equipment (In-Car Radar) installed on patrol vehicles to deal with speeding offenses and issue summonses against traffic offenders at the same time. “he said.
Kiss92 Radio DJ Divian Nair was rushed to the hospital on 4 April after having a suspected stroke, with his body having paralysis on one side and his face drooping.
His wife then called for an ambulance and he was conveyed to Singapore General Hospital, where he went through a few scans.

Two days ago, my body told me to stop.
Well, it kinda forced quit my primary functions. I suffered a major migraine attack that caused some paralysis on one side. At the time, when half my face began to droop, my wife assumed i was having a stroke. She called the ambulance and I was rushed to SGH for two CT scans to see if there was a clot or bleeding in my brain. I was placed in high dependency and underwent another MRI scan.
Fortunately, all the tests were clean and showed no indication of a stroke. While the doctors could not completely rule it out, they determined it was most likely a major migraine caused by severe stress and fatigue that resulted in symptoms mimicking a stroke.
I feel much better now and am on the road to full recovery.
Rach and I wanna thank friends and family who showed up at the hospital even though they knew only Rachel could come in. We want to thank everyone who sent their well wishes and flowers. We also want to thank my colleagues at work for holding the fort but most of all, a big thank you to the wonderful healthcare workers at @sghseen (Hi Rohaida, Geraldine, Cindy and team!) and the @myscdf paramedics (Mira) who kept me safe the whole way through.
I’ve been stressed out with some rather large issues at work for the last few months but it’s time to slow down and gather my senses. As clichéd as it sounds, knowing I’ve worried the people closest to me has made me want to reset my priorities.
