MAN ATTACK WIFE’S ALLEGED LOVER, SENDS VIDEO OF HIS PRIVATE PARTS TO HIS CONTACTS – JAILED

0

A man suspected his wife of having an extramarital affair and attacked her alleged lover after tracking him down.

The wife’s uncle, cousin and the cousin’s girlfriend also participated in the assault where the man stripped him of his clothes, filmed his private parts and sent the video to more than 500 of his contacts.

He pleaded guilty to one count of voluntarily causing hurt, one count of distributing intimate recordings and one count of acting in a disorderly manner.

The man was then sentenced on 13 January to 3 years imprisonment, 4 strokes of the cane and a fine of $1,500.

The man cannot be named due to a court order protecting the identity of the victim.

What happened?

The quarter waited for the man’s wife near her home at around 10pm on 7 February 2020, suspecting the woman of cheating on her husband.

They spotted the woman entering the victim’s car and followed them in 3 separate vehicles and when the victim was driving towards Woodlands Checkpoint, the husband and the wife’s cousin then decided to “trap” the victim.

The man stopped his vehicle behind the victim’s car, the cousin then stopped his car in front of it and asked his girlfriend to start filming.

The man and the cousin then confronted the victim, who didn’t want to get out of the car, only alighting after the man kicked the side mirror.

The two then rained blows on the victim at a grass patch at the side of the road, before the wife’s uncle then joined in after arriving at the scene.

The wife then tried to stop the attack but was slapped by her uncle who dragged her by the neck. Her husband also spat at her and used vulgarities on her.

The husband then used the victim’s phone to film his private parts, before sending the video clip to more than 500 of the victim’s Whatsapp contacts.

The group was then arrested when the police arrived about 30 minutes later.

The victim suffered a minor head injury and a fractured face and right collarbone; he was given 21 days medical and hospitalisation leave.

GIRL NOT HAPPY WITH “SPOILED” BROTHER WHO SPENDS AN HOUR IN THE SHOWER

0

A netizen shared how she is unhappy with her brother who is “spoiled” and cannot imagine being stuck with him when their parents are gone.

Here is the story:

“I would like to take this opportunity to get something off my chest.

My younger brother is 12 years younger than I am. And yet, in contrast, my parents have spoilt him rotten. Since he was young, no matter what he asked for, he would get it. And if he didn’t, tantrums would follow. For instance, he would yell at my parents and slam doors at home. He plays computer games for the entire day into the wee hours of the morning and screams at the top of his voice even at 3am/4am/5am in the morning when the rest of the house is trying to sleep (battle royale games where teamwork is required, but you can speak softly right instead of yelling into your headset mic?)

He is turning 18 shortly and yet he has paused going to school for half a year now (he is in a JC) and goodness knows when he will go back. If he doesn’t want to continue, who knows where his life will end up. But no one will force him, if he wants to drop out that’s none of my business.

My parents are getting old. Reaching their mid sixties. Seeing them getting yelled at by this spoilt brat just cause things don’t go his way is making me mad. But I’m powerless to do anything. They dote on him so much it makes me sick. Moreover when I was young, if I did the same things or even dared behave in the same manner, I would be punished or beaten, so seeing this unfold in front of my eyes infuriates me further.

Even simple things like taking a shower (he can spend up to 1 hour in the toilet with the shower running) and eating at the dining table (he eats in his room, our helper would bring food to his room and knock on the door like room service, whereas everyone else eats at said dinning table) are so difficult. Even our dog doesn’t need that long to shower.

I cannot imagine getting stuck with such a burden like this, if and when one fine day our parents are no longer around.

I most definitely will never spoon-fed him this way and I absolutely can’t stand his attitude. What should I do? What would you do?”

Editor’s note: He’s still only 18, not too late to try and change him for the better. Sit him down and have a talk with him.

From 1 Jan 2022, a new regulation will also kick in – cycling groups must not exceed the maximum length of 5 bicycles (or ten cyclists when riding two abreast where permitted).

Errant on-road cyclists will also face a higher composition fine of $150 with effect from 1 Jan 2022.

MOTORCYCLIST LOSES BALANCE AND HITS CAR ON BKE, THEN RIDES AWAY

0

A video emerged online showing a motorcycle with a P-plate losing balance and swerving on the road, before hitting a car.

The motorcyclist then rides away without stopping after the accident, as though nothing happened.

The incident happened on 13 January on the BKE, at around 6.20pm.

Following the collision with the car, a voice (believed to be the driver of the camcar) was heard shouting at the motorcyclist: “OI!”

However it did little to catch the attention of the motorcyclist, who fled the scene as quickly as he hit the vehicle.

Potential penalties

It is a punishable offence to leave the scene of an accident, which is considered a hit-and-run – upon conviction, first-time offenders face a fine of up to $3,000 or a jail term of up to 12 months.

MAN DANGLES OUTSIDE 12TH FLOOR WINDOW TO REPAIR AIRCON WITHOUT HARNESS

0

A post was since in a Facebook group showing an aircon repairman with his whole body lying on an aircon generator outside of a window of a 12th story HDB flat.

Upon closer inspection of the photo, we can see that the aircon repairman was disregarding his safety as he did not don on a safety harness.

Social media comments

While the post has already been removed, social media users who commented on the post were quick to stand united to speak out against such life threatening acts.

A few netizens asked if it was worthy risking a life to earn that few hundred dollars.

Some commented that aircon repairs can usually be done only in this way, especially for the older HDB flats in Singapore.

However, repairman usually wear harnesses for their own safety.

If the repairman is unlucky or too engrossed in his work that he accidentally trips and fall without a harness, it will most surely be the end of his life.

NETIZEN DISGUSTED BY WANG BBQ & GRILL STALL AT CHOMP CHOMP FOOD CENTRE

0

A netizen has taken to social media to voice his displeasure at Wang BBQ & Grill food stall which is located at Serangoon Gardens Chomp Chomp Food Centre.

He mentions that he honestly feels completely disgusted by the food and service that the stall has provided him.

According to his post, the food looks good but tasted horrible, either tasting like it has been burnt from overcooking or just does not taste up to his standards.

He also said that he paid $18.20, only to be shortchanged by the staff as they have left out some food which he had ordered.

Only after he confronted the staff did they conveniently use the excuse that they ‘forgot’ to put the matter to rest.

WIFE WANTS TO MOVE TO DIFF COUNTRY, GUY DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO COMPROMISE

0

A netizen shared how his wife wants to move to a different country, but he doesn’t know how to compromise – if he moves, he will miss his parents, siblings and close friends.

Here is the story:

“My wife wants to move to a different country but I know I’ll miss my parents, siblings and close friends. How do you come to a compromise on this one?

I have a good relationship with my parents / family. They’re great to spend time with..my SO doesn’t really have close family ties, so she’s able to travel, move etc more easily without guilt.

Anyhow, she wants to move to where the weather is cooling, people are nicer and housing is more affordable. I get it.

At the same time, I know I’ll miss my parents, old friends and brother. We currently live quite near from them.

How do you compromise on this? Tough as parents get older…”

Editor’s note: I think the people in Singapore are quite nice, save for a few. As for the weather, on aircon ah!
