The bus should provide us with sampan, then can romantic down the stream. If lucky can catch some fish.
If gamen construct to upgrade drainage sure going cost millions, better to spend hundreds of dollar enough, each bus just put a sampan inside. Cheap and effective.
Ok enough of sarcasm, to fix the issue confirm needs to spend a lot of money to upgrade infrastructure. Last year Orchard that incident the govt literally had to pump over SGD$200 million to “pump” out the water. So that Orchard don’t flood anymore.

With the Hungry Ghost Month in full swing and hitting the 13th day today, here are a few ways you can summon ghosts to satisfy your inner paranormal investigator.
Fair warning, attempts to summon these spirits may not turn out the way that you expect them to.
Look into a mirror at midnight and start combing your hair
Legend has it that doing so would open portals through the mirror, letting the other side know of your intentions.
You’re supposed to light a candle in front of the mirror, with all the lights turned off, and start combing your hair until the candle goes out.
Apparently you’re going to see a reflection in the mirror that isn’t your own.
Bend down and look between your legs
Not really sure why but it has been a long standing belief that if you look between your legs at night, you’ll see ghosts standing behind you.
I personally tried this method before but all I saw were the worried looks of people staring at me, thinking I’m an idiot.
Although you are more than welcome to give this a try, I mean what could go wrong? *sinister grin*
Knocking chopsticks against a bowl of rice at night
As made famous by the 2005 horror movie, The Eye 10, this method supposedly attracts the attention of hungry ghosts.
The rice in the bowl is meant to be food for them and the tapping of the chopsticks against the bowl is supposedly intended as a dinner bell; like, “HEY! IT’S DINNER TIME!”

I’m sure by now you’ve seen many movies and heard many stories about the world famous Ouija board. (Is it pronounced “Oh-Ja” or “Wee Jee” though?)
This is pretty much self explanatory, you are essentially opening a means of communication with any spirit passing by.
Open an umbrella while indoors
The Chinese have a belief that opening an umbrella symbolizes and invitation to ghosts to come to your place.
When you open an umbrella, the umbrella casts a shadow beneath it, and when you stand under the umbrella, you wouldn’t be giving off a shadow because of the umbrella blocking the light (go ahead, try it).
So by standing under the umbrella, you actually look like you don’t have a shadow – which stands in line with the age old belief that ghosts do not have shadows.
Rub graveyard dirt on your eyes
This would involve heading down to the cemetery, perhaps Bukit Brown Cemetery which is well known to be one of the most haunted places in Singapore.
Do take note that this method might actually rile up the spirits and make them really angry.
The morning heavy rain has caused chaos for some drivers in the morning and some were even stranded in the floods.
When there is a bad side there will also be a good side. The temperatures were recorded to be very low and cooling as if there was free air-condition.
NEA reported that at Woodlands, Changi and Pulau Ubin had temperatures recorded as low as 21.9°C.

Widespread moderate to heavy rain fell over the island since 5am this morning (20 Aug 2021). The rain was heaviest over the central, northern and eastern parts of Singapore. The thundery showers were due to prevailing winds blowing from the south and west-northwest, converging over Singapore.
The highest daily total rainfall recorded as of 1pm today was 112.1mm, 111.0mm and 107.8mm at Hougang, Choa Chu Kang and Paya Lebar respectively, followed by Pasir Ris at 105.2mm and Ang Mo Kio at 103.6mm. The highest daily total rainfall for this month (to date) was 121.8mm at Sentosa on 19 August 2021.
As of 1pm today, the highest rainfall intensity over 60 minutes was 95.8mm recorded at Choa Chua Kang (for reference, the highest ever recorded 60-minute rainfall intensity is 147.0mm on 2 Nov 1995.) The lowest temperature recorded this morning was 21.9°C at Changi, Pulau Ubin and Woodlands.
For the rest of today, it is expected to be cloudy, with light to moderate rain clearing in the afternoon.
Over the next few days, thundery showers are forecast between the morning and early afternoon.
I was an employee of ABC Company for around 2 years though I love my job and colleague but the bosses are toxic. I thought long before deciding to leave and I thought better to just leave and not stir sh*t.
What I did next during the exit interview was one of my greatest mistake I that I made, the HR manager somehow convinced me to tell any grievances or unhappiness. I was told that I was quite an above-average performer who didn’t mind putting in the extra hours for the company.

So sick of the aunties in the office. For the past week, the aunties in the office get more and more annoying. Every day during lunch they will sit together and show off their pieces of jewellery to each other.

I used to visit cheap bars in the past until many of them started serving me a watered-down beer. Why are so many pub or in today’s context “dine-in pub” doing this?

Why another disco no need to do this. Probably it’s because your management is sh*t and you cant manage to attract the customers to work in your rotten shop. That is why no business.
I felt insulted whenever I have to control the bartender about the watered-down beer and most of them swear that they did not add anything to the beer,
Guys next time you visit a cheap pub. Please stare at the bartender that is drafting your beer. He will start to feel guilty and panic. Because your beer might transform into Soda if you fail to look at the drafting.

Lap pillow is a fantasy of many men, especially to the Japanese. A girl shared a story has she have no idea how to deal with his stepbrother.

I am seeking advice, I have an 18-year-old stepbrother. We have been together since my father married my stepmother about 8 years ago.
I am 21 this year and I was lucky to have a good relationship with the new family and I have been with this step-brother for 8 years. We are quite close and often watch movies together.
However, he has a habit and crawls on my lap and sleep. He says it’s the most comfortable pillow. However, we are not 10 years old anymore and we are two healthy adults.
I feel that this is unhealthy as I start to get evil thoughts in my head. The last time he did it and he was facing my body and started sniffing very loudly. I am afraid he might overstep the boundary and do something bad to me.
I tried to stop him a few times recently but he stares at me with his puppy eyes and forces me to let him use it.
He is my step-brother, is this wrong? We have no blood relationship.
A netizen wrote in to commend a bus driver who went out of her way and disregarded her own safety to help and old man who had fallen down on the road.
It was raining at the time and she stopped at a bus stop and ran without an umbrella into the road, towards the old man who had fallen down and having difficulty getting up.
The passengers who witnessed the sight were moved by her actions and alighted to shelter both of them with their own umbrellas.
The incident happened on 10 July at around 12.30pm, somewhere along the route towards Kovan MRT station on bus 112.
