NETIZEN HIRED AS MARKETING STAFF, BUT MADE BY COMPANY TO DO TELESALES

0

A netizen shared how he/she was hired as a marketing staff for 6 to 7 months before her department was removed and she was made to do telesales instead.

Here is the story:

“I was working as a marketing staff for about 6-7 months before the boss suddenly wants to remove the marketing department and make everyone do telesales instead.

I’m not sure if I should even stay, because cold calling is not one of the things I signed up for, and it’s definitely not anything that I want to do as a career.

Before anyone says, just try doing telesales, I did try doing telesales. I can’t hit the target because

1. I am the one who has to do the deliverables for the service that we are selling, this leads me to not have enough time to even call, and

2. I still have other duties to do. I feel tired and stuck :’)

any advice for me?”

SIBLING FINDS OUT BROTHER HAS BEEN POSTING EXPLICIT SELFIES OF HIMSELF ONLINE

0

A netizen shared how his/her brother has been posting explicit images of himself online and found condoms inside his bag.

Here is the story:

“Seeking sincere advice… what to do when your sibling goes engages in “wild” activities?

It was pure coincidence that I found out but at the age of 20, he was posting explicit photos of himself on Twitter and had condoms in his bag.

I was so shocked because it felt like I had been living with an entirely different person all these while as the usual behavior at home was a goody-two-shoes to our mum.

We had a big quarrel between us about him asking me to not control and just let him be and have not spoken much since 1 year ago, but I didn’t expect to uncover that he seemed to have gone even wilder after being given free reins.

Yet, he still remains the goody two shoes in front of the mum and every time I see it, it just feels so hypocritical to me.

I know technically I have no rights to care since he is no longer a child. But is it really right to not care?

Though he would probably not even care for whatever I say anyway (his personality has been that he is always deemed right and would never stop at getting what he wants; fun fact: he has also never apologized for anything before for as long as I can rmb)

so I’m also at my wit’s end on how to stop him even if I want to… this dilemma on what is the right thing to do in such circumstance has been eating into me and troubling terribly…”

Editor’s note: To be honest, if he’s not hurting anyone and not breaking the law, then it’s his life to live.

0

A man shared how he tried to redeem his $100 CDC voucher but found out that it had already been redeemed by someone that he doesn’t know.

Here is the story:

“When we login with our Singpass to claim the CDC Voucher, to our horror! it was redeemed by someone whom we don’t even know!

How can that happen? I thought only can redeem using Singpass?

Either the CDC Voucher system got error or this thief is going to be in big trouble!”

WOMAN’S DELIVERY PARCEL WENT MISSING BUT MARKED AS “DELIVERED”

0

A netizen shared how she bought something on Shopee and waited for almost a month and received nothing, she then realized that her delivery status was marked as “delivered”.

Here is the story:

“Bought something on Shopee on 12 Nov. On 3 Dec, the status was secretly updated to delivered. But I waited till 6 Dec still received nothing.

Raised a refund request and got approved after 3 days, after I kept asking for the status.

After that, I checked with the seller and J&T.

The seller said there were parcels (not just mine) from the same batch that got lost.

When I asked J&T, they said they already refunded to Merchant and I should get the refund from Merchant. And kept apologizing.

Whatever questions I asked, that cs that answered my call, Lem, just kept apologizing without directly answering my qns.

But my question is, how come there were so many parcels “lost”? Evaporated in J&T warehouse?

And why they quietly n secretly just update it to “delivered” and expect me to pay for it, instead of filing for a “lost parcel”, J&T?”

WOMAN BOUGHT SHOE RACK VIA SHOPEE & RECEIVES BROKEN PIECES, NO REFUND

0

A netizen shared how she bought a stackable shoe rack via Shopee and she received a broken shoe rack; she has been trying to get a refund but to no avail.

Here is the story:

“Bought stackable shoebox from Shopee from local seller camille_admin .

Did not open it the moment I received it as I’m too busy with work. A week later, when I unwrapped it, this is what I received.

I know I shouldn’t press the order received as the money will be released to the seller.

The seller wanted to send me the same product but I rejected it as the quality is very shitty and asked for a refund instead.

I did return back the item. But it’s been nearly 2 weeks since I did not receive my refund.

Seller say will refund once received the item. After that, the seller ignores my message when I ask about my refund.

Called ninja van, ninja van told me delivery was canceled and they told me their driver haven’t collected the item when they actually did. Made a police report for reference, Send it to the seller and all she replied was “ok.”

Seriously I don’t understand why some local seller makes their customers beg for customer’s money. The video was sent and the picture too.

What more evidence do they need when their product is shitty. I feel so cheated. If this was aliexpress, I think it’s easier to open a dispute and receive a refund if the item quality is shitty…

I think Shopee better step up their game. I think I would rather buy straight from China. I gonna ban Shopee now.”

The total number of omicron cases in Singapore detected is 16, with 14 being imported and 2 being local cases who are service staff at the Changi Airport.

DRIVER CAUGHT HITTING WOMAN’S CAR, SHOUTS AT HER: “WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL!”

0

A netizen shared how a driver hit his wife’s car and told her “what’s the big deal?”, before turning aggressive and fleeing the scene, almost running her over.

Here is the story:

“My wife parked her car, Mini, at Geylang Lor 3 multi carpark level 1 on the evening of 12th December 2021.

At approx. 9.10pm, she went to retrieve her car. She was alerted by a kind gentleman, the eye witness, that the car beside her had collided with her car 2 times whilst attempting to park into the lot.

He said that he stayed behind to wait for my wife as a note (his contact details) he had left behind on her car, mysteriously went missing.

At approximately 9.20pm, the perpetrators of vehicle SKS632X returned to retrieve their car. My wife then proceeded to inform the driver that a witness has seen him backed and collided into her car twice whilst he attempted to park into the lot.

This escalated into an already unfortunate incident.

1. The driver first reaction was “act blur”, refused to acknowledge and/or exchange contact details.

2. When told there was a witness and damages on both cars, he turn aggressive and shouted “I pay lah, What’s the big deal, I pay!” His lady passenger then instructed the perpetrator to get into the car and ignore my wife.

3. The driver and his passenger then abruptly got into their vehicle SKS632X and started to drive off.

4. All these whiles, my wife was on the phone with TP who was enroute to the location. My wife then requested the perpetrators to wait for the TP to arrive. They refused.

5. In desperation, my wife tried to prevent the vehicle SKS632X from leaving by standing in front of it but was failed as the perpetrator dangerously proceeded to move his vehicle forward towards her, threatening to run her over, endangering her. In a panic, another witness managed to capture a video of the perpetrator driving off.

6. TP who was still on the phone call then advised my wife to move aside and let the perpetrator go. Safety first beyond anything else. The perpetrator of vehicle SKS632X then drove away from the scene.

Police reports have been filed and memory card from dash cam have been submitted to TP.”

S’PORE-M’SIA LAND VTL FOR ALL S’POREANS & M’SIANS FROM 20 DEC ONWARDS

0

The Ministry of Trade and Industry said that the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) via the Causeway will be expanded to include Singaporeans and Malaysians from 20 December onwards.

Currently the land VTL across the causeway is being reserved for citizens, permanent resident and long term pass holders of the country they were visiting, with the priority being given to them to reunite them with families.

Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong said that the government is continuing to review the arrangement to see if the land VTL can be expanded to include other modes of transports such as via trains.

He said that travelers need to take into account the infection situation in both countries and that those who want to go to JB on day trips need to assess the situation as there will be subjected to regular tests.

The current test protocols will see no changes with the expanding of the land VTL and all travelers entering Singapore will need to following the prevailing protocols and measures such as a post-arrival 7-day ART test regime.
