A netizen shared how he boarded a bus but didn’t have enough spare change, only $2 notes, and that his card was about to expire and he couldn’t pay the bus fare.

A kind fellow commuter then passed him $1 coins but it was still not enough, to which the bus driver then helped him pay the remaining $0.50 bus fare.

Here is the story:

“This morning I boarded an SBS No 50(SBS3028C) at 0630 to Bishan.

I am so unlucky that my card had expired and I had no coins and $2 notes with me. I ask around for small change but non of the passengers have.

Suddenly there is lady passed me $1 coins and said that’s the only coins she has.

At the same time, the bus driver said that he will the balance fare for me which is about$1.50.

I want to thank both the lady and driver and really appreciate it. Thank you”

A hawker selling duck rice at Geylang Bahru Marker and Food Centre was fined $300 for taking his mask off to taste the sauce for his duck rice, according to Shin Min Daily News.

The incident happened on 14 November and the stall owner, Wang Rongfu, said that he was chopping the duck meat at the time and there were about 20 customers in the queue.

He noticed that he was running low on the sauce for the dish and was reaching over to a new batch, removing his mask to taste the sauce to make sure it was okay before serving.

But after doing so, he was then asked for his personal particulars by a group of safe distancing ambassadors.

He said that he was told that he did not wear a mask and violated with the rules, and that if he didn’t cooperate, the police would be called in.

Wang said that there were customers waiting at the time and he was afraid that his business would be suspended, so he complied with the instructions at the time.

The next day, he tried to explain himself to the authorities but to no avail.

He said that he took off his mask for less than 10 seconds and didn’t expect to get a fine for $300, and that he would need to pay it before 16 December.

A video emerged online showing an Audi parking at a multi storey car park and hitting another car with its passenger side door.

The Audi was seen driving in the car park before finding a parking spot and the driver reversing his vehicle into the spot.

After parking, the passengers alighted from the side of the car and the door hit a Tesla that was parked beside it.

The driver then assessed the damage but left without doing anything about it, or even leaving a note for the driver of the damaged car.

The incident was captured on the Tesla’s dashcam and it happened on 30 November at around 1pm, at the basement car park of Paragon Shopping Centre.

My colleague recently expressed her adoration for me as she told me she has fell for me.

What happened?

In November 2019, the man, who worked as a sales promoter, met his first victim, a 14-year-old girl who ran away from a children’s home, at a shopping mall.

The two started dating and they had intercourse at his friend’s home.

The man then befriended his second victim, a 13-year-old girl on Instagram and they met at a playground in November 2019 as well, where they kissed and hugged before they engaged in explicit acts at a car park nearby.

The man met his third victim through Instagram and proposed a “friends with benefits” arrangement with the 14-year-old girl – he met and slept with her at a Geylang hotel without wearing “protection”.

The truth came to light when the first victim confided in a youth guidance officer, the second by a teacher who noticed her behaving abnormally and the third made a police report in August 2020.

EX LTA OFFICER CHARGED FOR ALLEGEDLY BREACHING OFFICIAL SECRETS ACT

Benny Tan Yong Liang, 34-years-old, was charged with an offence under the official secrets act on 7 December.

The former Land Transport Authority (LTA) officer had allegedly retained work-related documents on his own laptop after resigning from LTA.

The offence happened between 30 November last year to 8 March this year, when he allegedly kept work documents when he didn’t have the right.

The court documents didn’t provide information about what work documents he kept or when he left LTA.

Benny is expected to return to court on 4 January 2022 and if convicted, he faced a jail term of up to 6 months and a fine of up to $1,000.
