MAN SICK AND TIRED OF MARRIED LIFE, SENDING KIDS TO SCHOOL AND ETC

0

A man shared how he is stick and tired of his married life, as well as his wife.

Here is the story

I am tired of being married

I wake up every day at 6-7AM, take my kid to school, clock in at 8:30 to work from home while simultaneously taking care of my 4-year-old.

Taking my lunch break to go pick up my kids.

Work the rest of the day. Get off and walk to the kitchen at 530, to cook dinner for the wife and kids.

Then get the kids bathed and ready for bed.

I do the dishes and laundry regularly, my son has not been tardy all year, and I have been able to consistently work remotely for a while.

I hate this so much. I want a partner who isn’t a lazy POS.

What does my wife do? You ask? Oh just talk about how I’m not a real man because I don’t make more than 60k. I’m a loser who makes bad music and will never amount to anything.

Screw all this that! I’ll set a better example for our sons and teach them not to put up with emotional and psychological torture.

Bless you. Marriage isn’t my issue, my wife is.

Time to make some plans and changes.

MAN THINKS ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A GF AFTER 35 YEARS OLD

0

I don’t think there’s many people in this sub who would be in the same situation as me which could be a good thing to get opinions but you can you even begin to start dating for the first time in your mid 30’s? Is it too late to learn all the things that should’ve been learned 10-15 years ago?

Having never had a girlfriend before and getting zero interaction on the dating app scene for 7 years I personally feel like it’s too late and the cut off has passed at my age (35 in May) and that there’s too many things to learn about being on a date, being together with someone, sex, love, and growing as an individual that should have been learned at a minimum of 10 years ago

I’ve seen it posted in here that not having a partner at all in you life when in your 30’s is a huge red flag which on first glance I find is a pretty unfair blanket statement to make on people but it seems to make sense when it’s broken down and analysed that people in my situation don’t really know how to be a “relationship quality” person and in a way I guess people feel like they have to coach someone when it all should’ve been learned in the teens and early 20s. Not even going to touch on learning how to have S.

Not that it really matters since I wasn’t getting likes or messages for years previously but I’m sort of at the point in life where I need to decide if it’s worth it to keep trying and feeling completely invisible and undateable or get on some good ol’ copium and rationalise reasons to give up.

Here are what netizens think:

I started dating at 30. I just waited until I was comfortable with myself. Get out there and go for it! I’ve learned quite a lot from dating for 4 years. I’m 34 now.

I think everyone dating in their 30’s is kind of working through something. It’s a refreshing change from 20’s dating when everyone is trying to present this flawless picture of themselves! Never too late

GIRL ASKS WHY ARE MEN OBSESSED ABOUT WOMEN BEING AFTER THEIR MONEY

0

A girl asked why are men obsessed with thinking that women are after their money.

Here is the story

What is this unfounded obsession that some dudes seem to have with women being after their money, free dinners, etc?

So I’m fortunate to have a rad partner who is not like this in the least. We are both solid earners and provide for each other equally, and I don’t feel that all guys think the way that I am describing below.

But I have to laugh when I see the sheer amount of dudes constantly fretting online about all the women they think are after their money and trying to use them for free dates and meals.

Ironically, it’s almost always a dude who is a really average earner flipping out about imaginary girls who want free dinners, gifts, etc.

This is borderline comedic to me because while I know that there are definitely individuals out there who will take advantage and have ulterior motives, it is nowhere near as common as dudes online will have you think.

I literally just saw a thread of guys musing amongst themselves about how to tell whether a woman likes them or their giant piles of cash and success. I’m like…none of you have this problem. Respectfully.

I feel like a lot of it is an extension of a very subtle form of misogyny and distrust of women that really isn’t that valid. Does this make sense? This is bizarre to me.

SG GUYS SAID “NO SUCH THINGS AS TRUE FRIENDSHIP”

0

As I grew older, I realised that there is no such thing as true friendship. People are too materialistic. People can lie even the simplest thing just to get ahead. I have helped so many people and only for them to turn their back against me. There is no such thing as faith in humanity. Everyone is just out for their survival. There isn’t a point in life living this way or even having a child and leaving them to face this cruel world.

I have decided to stop contacting anyone or making any friends to avoid any disappointment or betrayal again. I shut myself out from the world. I realised that only myself matter.

I don’t know how will I survive after my parent pass away. They are the only ppl who are genuinely concerned about me.

Is anyone feeling the same?

Here are what netizens think:

  • I agree that there are materialistic people out there, backstabbers, bad people, ungrateful people and the list goes on and on. I have been hurt by people like that before. But even as every single day I see people doing awful things, I also see countless people extending their hand to help others, forking out their time their money their energy in different ways when they stand to gain absolutely nothing.
  • I remember feelingg this way when I lost my friends in secondary school, and my ex best friend turned her back on me when I could have killed for her. I was so depressed and hated everyone, this post was my EXACT pov. Then I met my now friend group, who are the best thing to ever happen to me recently. I hope you will find that someone / people in your life one day, and learn to embrace the fact that we all belong in some place.
  • You need to develop a sense of how to discern another person’s character and observe boundaries. Not everyone is your friend, but they not always your enemy. Some people don’t ask for help. In fact, if you help them they might get resentful or even take advantage of you. Just leave them to drown because they can’t be helped except by themselves.
  • I can relate to some of the points, such as not wanting to have a child for it to suffer in this existence. I used to care and invest more into friendships, and also went through a period of jadedness and disillusionment, which I think is partly the stuff that prompted you to feel how you’re feeling now. It hurts when you care about people who don’t care in a reciprocal manner about you.

GIRL CAUGHT NEIGHBOUR CHEATING ON HER HUSBAND, SABO HER

0

A girl caught her neighbour cheating on her husband, and she then told her husband about it and exposed her.

Here is the story

Caught my neighbor cheating on her husband of 20 years and I told him about it

I tend to stay up during the nights and last Monday I caught a man leaving our neighbor’s house at 5am. This happened 3 days in a row. Her husband is gone most of the time due to work, plus i got a good look at the man leaving the house and it wasn’t her husband.

I’ve lived next to them for 6 years and the husband has always been super nice to me. He even used to give me math classes when I was still in school and he is generally a cool dude.

I made a fake Facebook profile and messaged him about it. I told him that a man had been leaving their house every morning and that he should ask his wife about it.

Turns out I was right. My dad and him are good friends so he confided in my dad earlier this evening. He told my dad that he had confronted his wife with messages claiming she was cheating when he got home. Apparently she cracked and told him everything. The husband kicked her out earlier today while I was gone. She went to live with her sister who lives not far.

No one knows that it’s me who told him about it and it’ll most likely stay that way. It could be anyone in the neighborhood. I know I should mind my own business but I got cheated on in my previous relationship so I can’t stand cheaters. I don’t feel bad at all.

WIFE DISTURBS WFH HUSBAND EVERY 5 MINS UNTIL HE LOCKS DOOR, QUARRELS

0

I seriously didn’t know a better way of titling this, but please hear me out.

My wife and I both work from home. My job is mentally intensive and requires a lot of concentration, so we agreed that I could work in our home office. Her job is much less stressful and doesn’t require quiet, so she works from an office space we created in the living room.

Just to be clear, I absolutely respect my wife’s job and do not think less of her because mine is subjectively “harder”. We both agreed on me having the office space due to the nature of my work, and she was still able to build out her own office space.

The issue is that my wife is very very social, and loves popping into my office every 5 mins while I’m working to chat, ask me how and what I’m doing, or she just likes to come and sit inside the room. I totally get that we’re stuck at home and she needs to socialize, but I really need to focus to do my work. It’s gotten so distracting that my performance has actually declined to a point that my manager had to talk to me about it.

I absolutely love my wife, but I can’t lose my job. I’ve gotten up earlier to make her breakfast so we can sit and chat before work starts. We eat lunch together as well. I’ve tried to patiently bring up my concerns, even talking to her about it when I got reprimanded at work. I’ve tried finding solutions like encouraging her to set weekly catch up dates with friends. I’ve even tried to schedule in time during work to talk to her when I can.

But still, she completely ignores my needs and continues to barge in. It’s finally gotten to a point where I just started locking the door so she can’t come in. It caused a huge fight, and she said it was callous and rude, and even dangerous in case something happened to her. I said that if I was back at the office it would be the same. Plus, I don’t listen to music when I work so I can hear what’s happening in the home, or she could always call me.

She’s pretty pissed and my sister told me that I was a bad husband because my wife just wanted to spend time with now. I do agree that I’m fortunate to have a loving wife, but I also have to work!

GIRL’S MUM ALWAYS INSULTS & PUTS HER DOWN, HURT HER CONFIDENCE

0

A girl shared how her mother always puts her down whenever she is feeling confident, and hurts her feelings.

Here is the story

My mum always “needs” to put me down when I am feeling confident.

I have had hair like Cruella’s for over 6 months.

Yesterday, I was finally able to have the light part completely bleached and now it’s finally white. I was so happy with it, and right when I stepped out of the salon, an elderly man I crossed complimented me on how nice it looked.

I felt so empowered and confident. But when I got home, my mum immediately asked how much that “joke” had cost me (as if that matters, it’s my own money and I work hard for it), she also asked when I would dye it “normal” again and flat out told me she thought it was “trashy”.

I mean, there are nicer ways to say you don’t like it. Especially since she constantly displays such behaviour.

I also like to dress in 40s/50s vintage clothes, and whenever I am in “full outfit” (red lips, hat, curled hair) she always has to put me down. “Do you make such fashion choices on purpose to attract attention?” “Why do you feel a need to be so old fashioned?” “When are you finally going to buy sneakers?” Are just of the few comments she makes.

Furthermore I am trying to recover from an ED. I have listed my trigger foods and asked them not to get them in the house anymore at least until I have recovered, since seeing those foods makes me NEED to eat them and then I am lost in unhealthy eating habits for days.

Sometimes she listens, sometimes she does not and says “you can not deny us this or that just because you have an issue with it”.

She often tries to drive me towards unhealthy stuff or to divert me from the meal plan I construct with my dietician, KNOWING full well such things make me spiral.

I am just SO, SO tired of this behavior and needed to vent for a minute.

JOBLESS HUSBAND STEAL FROM WIFE’S BANK ACC TO BUY $6,000 LAPTOP

0

I’m a nurse and have been working more hours for the past 6 months to be able to save money to fix something in our house. I’ve saved up to 8,000 in my account and since my husband hasn’t worked since 2020, I’m trying to balance rent and utility payments.

My husband is a gamer, and so are his friends. the only difference is that all his friends are well off and they can afford expensive gaming gear and PCs. They mentioned wanting to go on a trip for some game convention overseas next week and invited my husband but he initially refused. though, he really wanted to go but complained about how his friends bought fancy gaming laptops while all he has is old gear. He asked if I could “lend” him $6,000 dollars so he could buy a new set of laptops and gaming gear but I refused because $6,000 for a laptops is crazy expensive, especially for someone who doesn’t work. he got upset and accused me of holding his employment over his head when he couldn’t help it.

Anyway, I thought we were over this argument but I had discovered that he had pulled the $6,000 dollars out of my account and purchased the set behind my back. I went home and exploded on him. He swore he’d return the money once he gets back from his trip but, I told him he had no right to take the money and spend it while the toilet’s plumbing needs fixing. he said the toilet doesn’t require $6,000 dollars either but the kids room was affected too. I demanded that he return the laptop or pay me the 6,000 right there and then. He told me I was being unfair to him and that he’s feeling stuck because his friends can afford to buy whatever, while he’s being yelled at for wanting something for himself for once.

I told him to get a job and buy himself whatever, he tried to tell me he’ll pay me when he finds a job which is AFTER he gets back from his trip but I refused.

He kept begging me to let him just go on the trip and “we’ll” figure it out later but I said no. if it wasn’t for something as important as the house flooding with leakage problems, I would’ve maybe waited but he’s saying I’m a crazy wife and controlling of his life.

MAN LIED ABOUT BEING MARRIED TO HOOK UP WITH WOMAN, FOUND OUT

0

A woman found out that the man that she hooked up with was actually lying about being married, and is considering telling his wife.

Here is the story

Dude straight up lied to me about being married. We hooked up. Now what?

Should I blow up his marriage or not?

I met this guy at a conference. I’m single (38F), was just chilling at a pub and he came onto me (came over, sat down next to me, very chatty, all drunk and flirty).

I am not looking for anything serious rn and he was cute, so we went back to my place (we didn’t sleep together, but we did plenty else, made out a lot then fell asleep together).

I had asked him multiple times if he was single/no gf/not married. He said he was single! We hung out a 2nd night, he was drunk again, I wasn’t drinking. I again asked if he was single, etc, and he again claimed he was… and this time we got intimate, and he slept over for the night.

Then after he left… I find his wedding band sitting on my bedroom floor. Apparently he had hidden it in his pocket, and it fell out when his pants were on my floor…

I don’t know his family. And I am sure he figured he was free and clear cheating on his wife.

But after I found out that he was married, (using the “power” of google search) I found his insta, his wife’s name, photos of his son, etc. I wasn’t the cheater, but I still feel bad….

Now… I’m not one to blow someone’s life up… so am I more of a jerk for not saying something to the wife and just leave it be? Or do I message her a pic of his wedding band and blow it up?

EX-GF CAME BACK FORCE SON TO CALL HER HUSBAND “DAD” SON IS CONFUSED

0

My ex gf who is 9 years older than me (Im 32) have a complicated history for a few years back. We were a long-distance relationship, only met sometimes every few months. We broke up then a few months later I was contacted by a guy who says he’s her husband. So she was married the whole time. And 5 months pregnant. We did a paternity test to find out I’m the real father.

Her husband obviously didn’t want another man’s child in his life. I guess she agreed too. We worked something out where I’d get sole custody of my son, she wasn’t interested in any sort of visitation either.

Later on, when I met and married my wife, we wanted her to officially adopt my son. My ex consented to it.

Barely last year she made contact for the first time in years. Saying for years she’s felt guilt for not being part of his life, and it was mostly due to her fear of losing her husband. And that she got sick last year which she said made her realize her regrets about not wanting to be in his life. My ex asked if we would let her visit him and get to know him.

She and her husband are in agreement with this and they’ve worked past their issues, or so she told me. My Son is 6 and while he’s still young he does know he has another biological mom even if to him my wife is his mommy. We never wanted to hide that from him.

My wife and I had many serious discussions about this, we agreed on trial visits where we are there to supervise everything. It’s been like this for almost 10 months. Visits are sometimes with her husband there too. I honestly thought we could make something work.

2 weeks ago she took him out to the park. My son came back he was acting differently. Then he randomly asked me if I’m not his dad. That caught me off guard, I told him of course I am where did he get that question. What he told me was her husband told him to call him dad and my ex encouraged it. When we confronted my ex about it she thought it would make things less complicated for my son, also so her husband would feel included in his life.

But I told her he’s not anything to my son, certainly not his dad and all it did was confuse my son. Unless my son wants to, neither of them are allowed to dictate what he calls him. My ex was really choosing to die on this hill because her husband is going to be part of my son’s life as well and “deserves” being recognized for it. I just got so angry and decided neither of them are allowed visits now. Now she’s crying we’re keeping him from her when we should understand it’s hard on her husband too and she’s just trying to find a way to meet him in the middle.

The reason why I ask if I’m in the wrong is because how hard my mom has advocating for my ex to be allowed back because she did lose her child after all. And even if she wasn’t in his life she still feels a connection to him, so it would be cruel to keep them apart.
