LIONEL MESSI IN TEARS DURING BARCELONA FAREWELL PRESS CONFERENCE

Footballing legend and icon Lionel Messi is due to depart Barcelona due to league regulations on player registration when he was trying to sign a new contract with the club.

He was seen bawling his eyes out and in tears before and after his speech, as his teammates gave him a rousing standing ovation.

Messi said that after being at Barcelona his whole life, this is really difficult for him and that he is not ready for this.

He said: “My family and I were convinced we were going to stay, that’s what we wanted more than anything. We were at home. Now I have to say goodbye to all of this. I have been here so many years, my entire life, since I was 13. After 21 years, I am leaving with my wife, with my three little Catalan-Argentine kids. I can’t say that we won’t come back because this is our home and I promised my children that.”

He later addressed the fans as well, saying: “It’s been difficult not to have the fans here, to hear them shouting my name. I leave without seeing them for a year and a half. I would have imagined Camp Nou full, close to the fans… saying goodbye properly. But it has to be this way. I want to say again, I am so grateful for all the love I have received here.”

At the time of writing, Messi is strongly linked with a move to French giants Paris St Germain, although he didn’t confirm anything at the moment.

Work-life balance is something many said it’s a dream while some other say its important and try to achieve it.

Here is the story:

I am married with two children,2 and 7yo at 37 yo. My hubby who works in government sector find it very hard to switch job to the private sector- he has been working in government after uni graduated and never had private company interviewed him.

He said he will need to take pay cut due to the difference in govt experience which he doesn’t want hence he stop applying for job in the private sector. Then when I stopped working for like 4 months this year, he kept asking me how was my interview – very anxious in me to have a job after leaving my last perm role for 5 years. Even in the past when I did not get promoted hence not much increment and was kind of underpaid he keeps saying why no promotion despite having good performance rating.

Then I just started a new job for 2 weeks, got 70 per pay jump to 8k now but every day I am very stress and tired. Work without much rest or lunch 10 mins got to start my work again yet he prefers me to still work than not working. His salary is 8.5k. If I take an admin job he will say “huh the salary is low leh”. I am really very unhappy every day that I don’t want to play with my kids or keep doing my work even on weekends.

I hope this working in weekend won’t stay long after I have managed to learn the new things in my new job. Will you still stay on to get a good salary though it’s very stress and tired or quit to look for simple low pay job?

I think he wants me to earn high to help him with the finances coz with his salary alone there is no saving every month.

80 Y.O S’PORE WOMAN DIED ALONE AT HOME DURING QUARANTINE @ JOHOR

80-year-old Singaporean Tan Ah Csee, was quarantining alone at her home in Johor, when she was found dead after being infected with Covid-19.

Malaysian news media reported that she lived alone, and when her neighbours called out to her, there was no reply and they got worried.

The chief of Johor Fire and Rescue Department, revealed that they received a call from Tan’s neighbours on 6 August for help.

14 fire and rescue personnel arrived at the home in full protective gear after prying open the lock to her house, and found the old woman (who had Covid-19) dead inside.

A teen shared how he was sellling his scooter to a man in his 40s, who came down with more than 10 people to test his scooter.

Every one of them tested his scooter for over 30 minutes before passing him cash and leaving.

An hour later, the man claimed that the tyre was punctured.

A few days later, he threatened to spread the netizen’s photo and videos online, demanding $800 for a tyre change.

“buyer wanted to buy my scooter, agreed on $2500.

1st august
40+ years old man bring down more than 10ppl all over 20yrs old,
come down every single one of them tested my scooter for over 30mins. after passing cash, everyone left

1 hour later at 10pm he calls me and said the tyres punctured and the connector wire flew out

keep in mind i had replaced fresh tyres and ive been riding for over 4 months with literally no problem

few days later he threatens to send my pics/vids to whatsapp groups, ig stories etc
demanded $800 for tyre change
brand new tyres are literally ~$20
play my mother etc, call me xiasuey etc

then threaten to send people come find me etc, think he damn funny.
40 year old man bring whole gang of adults vs one 15 year old kid, want extort money also dunno how.”

Taiwan is the birthplace of bubble tea and often find it hard to compete with other business as bubble shops are found in every corner.

The shop employed models to the shop to attract more customers to buy bubbles.

Singapore has been seeing a recent spate of fires emerging at a number of locations islandwide.

This time, another fire broke out at a HDB at Jurong East.

3 fire trucks, a Rhyno, 2 police cars and an ambulance were seen at the scene.

At the time of writing, details of the fire have yet to be made available; it is unclear how the fire started and whether anyone was injured.

Now my recent dating experience has traumatized me to the point whereby I think, I will probably be better living a life I want to live than with a girl that I got together because of desperation.

Hence, I have this idea of seeking any asexual female or female who would wanna BTO with me. The BTO purpose is just mainly for investment, we could rent it out or rent an out room(subject to further discussion).

My salary is about 3.5k engineer salary sads I know. Preferably I won’t be staying at the house, I wanna rent it out. Is this generally a good idea? Please genuine advice only, I have asked my friends and family they seem to think that I am too emotional close to this situation to make a sound decision and refuse to give me their opinion.

A video emerged online showing a Foodpanda rider and a taxi driver stopping in the middle of the road to fight.

They have having an intense shouting match, although the details of their fight were unclear (their shouting was unintelligible, couldn’t make out what was said).

It is unclear where the incident happened.

LTA said in an announcement that the limits of the number of passengers allowed in Taxis and PHVs will be liften from 10 August onwards.

Carpooling services will also be allowed to resume on that day forth, including GrabHitch and RydePool.

However carpooling through Telegram groups continue to be illegal.

Carpooling with other passengers such are families, friends and/or colleagues that are not paid, are also allowed.

A dog was seen running around inside a multistorey carpark without its leash and almost got run over by the camcar.

The incident happened at Yishun on 5 Aug, at a multistorey carpark.
