Called them made big fuss n managed to get a full refund on my missing items! RedMart I ordered $80 worth of groceries.
All I received was 2 coconut drink, 1 pasta sauce and 2 mash potatoes!!! They refunded me fr two items (Bibik chicken patty & cp chicken dippers) and all the rest was not refunded n items was missing!!
They wrote back n told me it was delivered w a pic of a red mart box on my doorstep!!
All that was in that box was the stuff I mentioned I received!! Nothing else!!!!! Can anyone tell me how to escalate this issue? This is pure dishonesty and I would like to pursue.
A SBS bus captain is in the spotlight, for good reasons this time.
A netizen recounted a good deed that he has seen this SBS bus captain do when on board his bus, and shared on Facebook what he had witnessed.
He did not manage to get the name of this bus captain, but managed to get a picture.

“SBS Bus Captain’s Act Wins Hearts of Passengers
Was onboard bus 154 heading to Paya Lebar Mrt Station when the bus stopped a little longer than usual at a bus stop located near Joo Chiat Complex.
Was wondering to myself the reason why the bus did not move off despite having only 2 passengers boarding the bus.
The bus captain then swung his door open. Thought he was doing his usual duty of laying down the door ramp, but was I wrong!
Hidden at a small dark corner along the aisle was an aged uncle. From where the passengers are seated. it is really hard to see him. He was seated on the ground selling packets of tissue paper which were lying on the floor.
The bus captain rushed down the short deck of stairs, reached into his pocket and handed something to him. Everything happened too quickly. What we, the passengers on the bus saw next was a smiling uncle.
He then rushed back to his driver’s seat, released the brake and slowly started accelerating, heading to the next bus stop.
Was captivated and at the same time, shocked at what had just taken place. Just can’t believe what I just saw. As the bus started to move, I managed to take a snapshot of the uncle.

Time and time again, tour de France people keep block the road and endanger themselves and others. This time even blocking traffic during peak hours, you no need to work does not mean other people don’t need to work.
Netizens have called cyclists the pest of the road.
A man who was serving time in prison for his dealings with drugs bit off another inmates ear over a coffee powder issue.
For this, 56 year old Teo Chye Lye was given an extra 10 months of jail time which he will serve on top of his current jail time.
Here is what happened
Both Teo and another inmate 53 year old Lim Lee Yat was working at a workshop at Level 5 of cluster B3 of Changi Prisons on Dec 15, 2020.
Teo accidentally pushed some of the spilled coffee mix onto Lim’s workstation, and a dispute resulted because Lim felt that he had to work extra because of Teo’s mistake.
They began quarrelling after Teo told Lim not to be so calculative, and punches were rained onto each other.
In the midst of all the fights, Teo forcefully bit off Lim’s ear resulting in part of Lim’s external ear to be bitten off.
Lim also had bruises on his eye areas due to the punches rained on him.
A prison officer was alerted to the incident by other inmates and called for medical help after breaking up the fight.
He alerted the medical staff to part of Lim’s dislodged ear which he found on the floor.
Lim was given a stern warning for this incident and Teo subesequently pleaded guilty to one count of voluntarily causing hurt that resulted in grievous hurt, causing permanent disfiguration.
Teo could have been given up to five years imprisonment, fined up to S$10,000, or both.
A netizen shared a story of how her daughter paid almost $1,000 to a hair salon and resulted in damages to her scalp till she cant even take a shower without feeling pain.

I would like to share about my daughter’s bad experience with Attractive Hair Art.
My daughters went to the attractive salon @far east plaza to get their hair coloured on 18th July. It was their first time going to a hair salon on their own so clueless as they were, they were prompted to buy a $988 10+2 sessions hair colouring package after being convinced by the manager there, Gimmy. They were both rather satisfied by the service provided on the day itself which was why they agreed to it.
However, when my second daughter washed her hair for the first time 2 days later, she felt her scalp hurting after it being in contact with water, and later found small wounds on one area of her scalp. On the day of her appointment, my daughter had already felt her scalp burning and hurting right after the application of the dye, and did inform the staff there, but was brushed off with the excuse that it was normal given that she washed her hair the day before the appointment. They did not attend to her or check her scalp for her at all. Hence, we find them very irresponsible and my daughter do not want to get her hair done by them again.
She contacted the salon via Instagram DM on 21st July midnight to raise her issue and to ask for a refund. She was fine to get no compensation for what she was faced with, and only wanted a refund because of the loss of trust she had for the salon when she first signed the package. Their admin on IG said that Gimmy could provide a free scalp treatment but my daughter refused as she really did not want to engage in their services anymore. Due to her busy schedule those few days, she missed several calls from Gimmy, and only returned a call on 25th july. During the phone call, Gimmy said he would inform his boss about the situation and help to ask for a refund. My daughter then called again on 28th July to ask for updates, and Gimmy assured her that the salon would refund her but they needed more time to process the refund which would then be given in cheque, cash or paynow.
However, on 30th July, Gimmy called again and said they could not refund because it might not have been his worker’s fault. He asked my daughter to send a picture of her scalp ( only after 12 days, when her scalp recovered mostly already ) and told her to make a trip down to the salon so he could check to see if it was a mistake made by his worker. If so, he would fire his worker. As for the package bought, he said my daughter could have her services done at other outlets. My daughter refused to make a trip down because she knows it’s meaningless since she won’t be given a refund regardless of whether or not it was the worker’s fault. It would only decide whether the worker would fired.
She also suggested to Gimmy another possible reason for the mild injuries which is that she could be allergic to the dye used, and not because of the worker’s skills. But either way, it was still absolutely unprofessional of the salon, that they did not bother checking on my daughter on that day when she alerted one of the staff.
Her main concern now is that the salon staff did not care when she informed him about the discomfort she had after the application of the dye, which is basically bad service. So right now, Gimmy still refuses to refund and is trying to push the blame.
He kept telling my daughter to not make things difficult for him, someone who is only trying to earn a living. Said that he’s just a worker and he really cannot refund, but he refuses to refer my daughter to someone else who can help with the process
According to a court hearing(Aug 05), a man was sentenced to 10 weeks in jail after he assaulted his mother.
The incident happened earlier this year on June 11 at around 9 AM. The mother prepared breakfast for the 27-year-old defendant and helps clean up his room by mopping.
The mother later realised that the defendant did not eat the breakfast and the sandwich was missing, she questioned the defendant if he had thrown the food away and the defendant denied it.
The mother went down the block and found the sandwich at the foot of the building. The mother confronted her son and said “From now on, don’t talk to me.”
This lead to a quarrel between the mother and son and the argument became physical. The man punched her mother in the face and hit her head.
