MAN SNATCH GOLD CHAIN AT ALJUNIED ARRESTED BY POLICE

According to a Police media release, a snatch theft case occurred along Upper Aljunied Lane.

A 28-year-old guy has been arrested for his alleged participation in a snatch theft case.

The Police were notified of a case of snatch theft on 30 July 2021 at approximately 3.45 a.m., when an unknown guy grabbed a male victim’s gold necklace near Upper Aljunied Lane.

Officers from Tanglin Police Division confirmed the man’s identification by on-the-ground inquiries and the use of photos from CCTV and police cameras, and detained him the same day, within 12 hours of the report.

The suspect will be prosecuted with snatch theft under Section 356 of the Penal Code in court.

The penalty is a minimum of one year in jail and a maximum of seven years in prison, as well as caning.

A man who was served with a 14-day hotel stay home notice decides to bring his gaming PC from Aftershock to past some time.

The full set included an ultra-wide monitor, mouse, keyboard, headphones and a desktop.

Netizens say too much to pack, but lucky the hotel room got a table.

Another netizen shared that his hotel room did not even have a table and only 2 bottles of water are provided a day, he had to boil toilet water to drink and survive.

He spends his time eating on the bed or on the floor like a beggar.

A video has been circulating in Whatsapp of a couple having intense “exercise” sessions in public at a multi-storey couple.

A man spotted the couple from afar and decided to film the couples who are in action.

Netizens said: “Stay at home too long, go outside have some exotic action”

A video emerged online showing a lorry dangerously overloaded with all sorts of barang barang at the back.

The goods were also not secured properly, or even at all, and they flew off the lorry and onto the road in the middle of traffic.

It almost hit the vehicles behind.

A motorist then gestured to the driver about his fallen goods.

The incident happened on the SLE, on 31 July at around 7.56pm.

They were seen armed with slippers and trying to kill the cockroach, but as soon as the cockroach moved, they started screaming like girls.

They finally managed to kill the cockroach and one of the guys then used a broomstick to hit the cockroach’s corpse repeatedly, presumably as revenge for scaring him.

Following the recent rise in public feedback about people receiving quarantine orders and not receiving follow up from the authorities, MOH has issued an apology on their Facebook.

Some netizens have claimed that even when their quarantine orders are about to end, they still have yet to receive any updates or follow up from MOH, and that calls to the authorities went unanswered.

Some of the people who have received the QOs have even been taking leave from their work, just to wait for MOH to contact them but to no avail.

They were seen with their bicycles parked neatly in a row, as they sat on the roadside kerb and mingled with each other.

The incident purportedly happened during the current Phase 2 (Heightened Alert).

Under the current Safe Management Measures, the maximum permissible group size for social gatherings is 2 persons.

GRAB DRIVER COMPLAINS THAT IT IS HARD TO BE A DRIVER NOWADAYS

A recent post on Facebook from a Grab Driver laments that it is hard to earn a living from being a driver nowadays.

Being on the road carries certain risks from chalking up demerit points to getting into an accident if you lose your concentration and encounter other errant drivers.

The Grab driver in his post mentions that he has received letters from two authorities and he has to comply if not he risks losing his Private Hire Driver’s License.
