MAN HELP FRIEND TO BREAK-IN, THEN PLAYS HIDE AND SEEK WITH POLICE INSIDE LUGGAGE

Joshua Lim Wei Kiat sought after his friend, Chia Wei Poh, for help to evade police detection and the latter hid him inside a suitcase.

Chia, 32, was then sentenced to 17 months’ jail for his role in helping Lim in his offence, and for hiding him with the purpose of helping him hide from the police.

Two seperate charges, abetting to commit housebreaking by night with the intention to steal, and voluntarily obstructing a police officer from carrying out an arrest were also factored in when sentencing him.

Here are more details of the case..

According to the court, Lim was previously charged with housebreaking at night to steal on 12 September 2018.

Chia agreed to be the guarantor for Lim with the price of $15,000.

Lim failed to show up in court for his hearing and thus Chia forfeited $5,000 of his bail money. A warrant of arrest was also issued for Lim.

Sometime in 2019, Chia was contacted by Lim because he needed a place to stay. Chia was told by Lim that he had a newborn son, and also wanted to clear his credit card debts.

He was also told that he would get back his $5,000 from Lim’s job as a deliveryman.

Chia allowed Lim to stay at his home for free and him a clerical job at his moving and transportation business out of pity.

In June, Lim told Chia that he wanted to commit housebreaking another time as he needed money.

It was not known if Lim was discouraged by Chia but a mutual friend of theirs suggested place that they could commit the crime.

Chia eventually played a part because he drove Lim to buy necessary equipments to commit the crime, and also drove Lim to the crime scene.

He found out that Lim had only stolen $25.

When police arrive at Chia’s to arrest Lim, Chia was afraid that Lim would fall and kill himself if he escaped from the balcony and therefore he hid Lim in a lugguage.

However, he finally admitted that he hid Lim and told police where Lim was hidden.

The sentence

Chia’s lawyer, Mr Singh mitigated by saying that Lim had used Chia’s kindness as his weakness by using his family and debts to gain sympathy.

Mr Singh also said that Chia could not bring himself to break Lim’s family up if he would to turn him in as Lim’s family would become homeless.

He sought for a jail term of 15 months on the grounds that Chia only did what he did because he had a heart of gold and did not want to destroy a family and he did not gain from the crime financially.

Lim was given a total of four years and six months of imprisonment, as well as four strokes of the cane, on July 17 last year.

Chia was eventually given 17 months of imprisonment

CHEAPO FINED $2000, TRESPASS INTO SAF AREA TO PICK FREE PANDAN LEAVES

A 63 year old man was fined $2000 for helping another man trespass into a restricted SAF training area at Lim Chu Kang to pick Pandan leaves.

Ng Kiong Hoe pleaded guilty with 61-year-old Cheng Lee Meng for entering a Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) training ground at Lim Chu Kang without any authorisation

Cheng, who faces a similar charge, is disputing this and has already claimed trial. It is unknown to the court with regards to what he has disputed with.

Cheng supposedly asked Ng to accompany him to Ama Keng Road Track 9 on September 9 last year (2020).

This road has always been cordoned off to the public by a padlocked gate.

They were inside Cheng’s van and when they got there, Ng alighted and unlocked the gate with a key given to him by Cheng for him to drive in.

It is unknown how the key got into their hands.

A warrant officer from the SAF found out about it then detained them as Ng was about to close the gates.

Ng claimed that he wanted to harvest pandan leaves when questioned by the police, but did not answer the warrant officer when he was asked by him.

Ng was not represented by a lawyer in court but he pleaded for leniency and told the court through a Mandarin interpreter that he was working at a coffee shop with not much work to do because of the COVID-19 rules.

District Judge Luke Tan told Ng that his actions might have disrupted military training and endangered his safety.

The judge added: “There are prominent signs (warning you not to enter). In fact, there is a figure of a soldier with a gun.”

Ng ignored this.

Earlier in the hearing, Cheng was asked why he was only disputing the facts that morning when he has been in court due to this case for a few times.

Cheng then said this was the first time he was hearing these accusations.

He will return to court again on Aug 19.

Cheng could have been fined up to S$20,000, or jailed up to two years, or both for his misdemeanors.

A complaint on Facebook has recently emerged about a boy being harassed by his schoolmate.

Apparently, the boy has been disturbed before by his schoolmate in a previous incident where he was kicked in the back and now the same schoolmate has said that he wants to kill the boy.

During the investigation of this matter, the discipline master of the school brushed it off as a joke.

Worried about the child’s safety, the mum subsequently made a police report.

Here is what the mother said

“Jack (not real name) was Bullied case 2:

Few days ago, I encountered an incident reported by the school. I’m not too sure if you guys remember that Jack was kicked from behind by a boy in January.. And now the same boy said .

He wants to Kill Jack and he did the suffocation gesture by strangling Jack using his right hand.

During the investigation, according to the disc. Master, it was a JOKE done by the boy and has no intention to kill Jack.

It took me few days to calm myself down before posting to fb.

It’s very alarming that these kids have such thoughts and with the recent case of RVHS.. it makes me ponder… What makes these kids thinks that it’s a joke?

I’m scared and worried. I felt that these are warning signs and need to be access.. I filed a report on these 2 incident and will make necessary legal actions.

At such a young age of 11yrs old.. I blanko the kid’s name. Am I being paranoid?

Because the disc. Master kept highlighting that the boy has no intention and it’s a JOKE.

I WONT BE LAUGHING IF Jack UNABLE TO STOP THE SUFFOCATION.

I WONT BE LAUGHING IF Jack ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL.

So tell me? Do u guys think it’s a joke?”

27 Y.O MAN FORCED BY PRC PUB AUNTIE TO SLEEP TOGETHER, HIGH HEELS STEP ON HIS KKJ

A man shared his story of him going to a pub at Jalan Besar with his friends. He claims that he was a victim and a woman forced him to do it despite not wanting to.

Here is the story:

I have to share my feelings of getting violated by a PRC auntie despite the incident happening over 2 years ago I do not know what to do and I need to vent my frustrations.

I was drinking with my friends at a pub at Jalan Besar area somewhere near Tywritt Road, it was my first time going to such places as there were PRC and Vietnam hostesses inside. A PRC woman was at the table and although I told her I did not want her here she insists on drinking with me, so I had no choice but to cheers a few glasses with her.

After chatting for a bit I found out that she was 13 years older than me, I felt like I was talking to my mother or my sister as she was so old. She had a thick layer of make-up on her to hide an ancient face and with the dull lights in the pub, she looks quite decent.

After 7 buckets of beer I felt that I was too drunk and wanted to go home, my friends said that they are going for supper and abandoned me to go have soup nearby.

I told the woman that I needed a glass of water and rested there alone before going home. It was time for the pub to close and the woman brought me out of the pub and said that she will send me home, I was surprised as I thought normally this kind of hostess will leave the moment the pub close.

She brought me to East Coast Park and said to sober me for a good reason, but we left shortly after 30-40mins.

We ended up at a condominium at Orchard, I was shocked but did not know how to respond. She brought me back to her place, inside the condominium there were at least 6 other girls stay in the same unit.

After she put me on her bed, I was afraid and I knew what was coming next. I did not have the courage to say NO to her. It felt like my balls shrink but she started to touch me and my sausage went rock hard.

I could not remember much only she wears her high heels and steps on my sausage. I almost cried after I woke up.

I quickly leave her home and till this day the memories haunt me.
