SOSD Singapore posted onto their Facebook looking to find a new home for an elderly woman’s 5-year-old dog due to her old age and complaints from neighbours.
The dog, affectionately named Frankie, is said to be affectionate with the old woman and very protective of her.
SOSD said that Frankie is “very protective of ahma, and may behave aggressively”, although he hasn’t caused any injuries.
SOSD also shared that the old woman is having difficulties taking care of Frankie alone, and that she walks him twice daily without a leash because he caused her to fall down before.
Here is SOSD’s post in full:
“HELP FRANKIE FIND A NEW HOME
Ahma has had Frankie ever since he was a puppy as someone gave him to her. Due to numerous complaints by residents nearby, we hope to find another home for him. Frankie is very protective of ahma, and may behave aggressively.
Thankfully, there has been no evidence of injuries so far. When our volunteers’ met him for the first time outside ahma’s home, he had nipped their ankles, which resulted in only superficial scratches (with no blood).
With ahma’s old age, it’s also getting harder for her to take care of Frankie. Therefore, we would like to help her and Frankie in finding a new home where he can be well taken care of.
Frankie (not HDB approved, unsterilized), who is 5 years old, lives with ahma in a HDB flat. Currently, Frankie goes for walks twice daily without a leash as ahma had fallen due to him pulling the leash.
He is affectionate with ahma, but with strangers, he will require more time in getting to know someone. However, he loves food and this will come in handy during training later on.
During walks, he barks at strangers, children and scooters and may try to nip strangers when he senses that they are a threat to himself or ahma.
People who are interested in adopting Frankie will have to be prepared to deal with his behaviour around strangers and leash-pulling issues which will require long term management and training.
He will also not be suitable in a house with young children due to his barking and nipping tendencies.
Let’s be kind in the comments and help to share this post to help Frankie find a new forever home. If you are keen to adopt Frankie, please write to us at this link: http://Bit.ly/sosdadoptform
Moving forward, we will only accept adoption enquiries from families who have installed grilles (or are willing to install grilles) on all openable windows and balconies in their homes.
In the recent few years, we have had cases of dogs jumping out of the opened windows especially when family members are not home, but even when family members are home.
Window grilles are a safety precaution to minimise the chances of dogs being able to jump out of the opened windows, and possibly alert the family member to stop the imminent tragedy.
That being said, we still advise everyone to close their windows and balconies when leaving the dog(s) home alone.”

Netizens commented that the YouTube channel was Sylvia’s ex husband’s Ryan’s hard work and that he doesn’t deserve for his channel to be bashed for her alleged mistakes.

An Indonesian couple couldn’t get a birth certificate for their 3-year-old son because they gave him a name that was too long:
Rangga Madhipa Sutra Jiwa Cordosega Akre Askhala Mughal Ilkhanat Akbar Sahara Pi-Thariq Ziyad Syaifudin Quthuz Khoshala Sura Talenta.
According to Detik, local officials and registrars in East Java didn’t grant them a birth certificate because his name didn’t fit the paper as it was too long.
The child’s father, Arif, said that the name has relations to the long history of Islamic civilization and that it has philosophical meanings.
He said that he hoped that his son would grow to become a “global figure”.
According to Kompas, the couple then wrote straight to President Jokowi, appealing to him for help in giving their son a birth certificate.
